Hurricane Sandy Victim’s Epic Rant Against Obama, Congress: ‘We Run This Country, Not You!’
During an interview on Fox News Friday, Hurricane Sandy victim Scott McGrath went off on President Barack Obama and politicians in Washington who have allowed the nation to rack up debt while neglecting its own citizens. He reminded them “we run this country, not you” in an epic segment.
McGrath lamented the fact that nearly two months later, many Sandy victims still need aid and Congress has only been able to put forth a pork-filled bill that will only partially help those affected by the storm.
“He’s a phony. He’s a liar,” McGrath said of Obama. “He said to be face to face, that he is going to cut the red tape. We’re two months now no red tapes been cut.”
He also blasted Washington for allowing the nation to rack up massive debt. “This country is in debt. We are so eager to help other countries that we forget our own people,” he added.
“I’m tired of free hand outs. I’m tired of the people collecting, collecting, collecting — and getting rewarded,” McGrath added. “They are sending a bad message to the kids of the future. They are telling you, do not work, you’re better off.”
“The middle class has got to wake up… and protest,” he said, getting worked up. “We have to get together and make those phone calls and tell those politicians, we run this country, not you. Or you’re gone!”

Posted on January 4, 2013 at 8:45pmThis guy has it right…..and wrong.
Obama runs this Country. Obama is the Highest Ranking TRUSTEE.
He has Authority over all the other TRUSTEES (Public Servants/Government Employees).
But…WE the PEOPLE are the GRANTORS/EXECUTORS of this TRUST called the U.S. Government.
We are BENEFIARIES to this ESTATE called America. Our Rights are also considered Property that is protected under this trust.
BY LAW, Grantors direct and administrate trustees, and write the rules of the trust (Bill of Rights, Constitution and laws).
BY LAW, TRUSTEES have NO direct Authority over Beneficiaries.
That is why Obama can’t make you dance, and you could tell him to go F#@k himself, if he did.
WE the PEOPLE can FIRE the TRUSTEES and rewrite the rules of the Trust.
Therefore, We DO ultimately “Run this Country”.
In that respect, he was right.

“Government is a trust, and the officers of the government are trustees. And both the trust and the trustees are created for the benefit of the people.”

He served three different terms as Speaker of the United States House of Representatives and was also Secretary of State from 1825 to 1829. He lost his campaigns for president in 1824, 1832 and 1844.)

Posted on January 4, 2013 at 9:48pmYou know, this guy is just about as stupid as the woman whose dock was destroyed and FOX made look as though she had a gripe against President Obama, when her problem was with her insurance company. The Federal government doesn’t rebuild personal property after a disaster, it, first, tries to keep people alive and, second helps rebuild public property, infrastructure.
In this interview Brett Bair is doing his best to suggest that The Government is the problem with rebuilding his house and for the inflated cost of planks or plywood, while this guy admits it’s his insurance company. Just as the lady did with her dock. Sorry, but President Obama can’t authorize funds to rebuild your house (that would be communism) nor can he tell your insurance company how to operate their business.
Like Mitt Romney, who suggested the states take over FEMA, he wants the federal government out of his life, except when he wants the federal government to fix his house on the tax payer dime.
Funny that Christie had a different view of the President’s response, and FEMAs response. But the people who want you and me and other Americans to fix their private property, when their capitalistic insurance companies won’t, or really speaking out of two sides of there mouths.
FOX, want to try again with a third person who is having trouble with their insurance companies, or Boehner?

Please quote the part of the FEMA website that says the Federal Government, rather than your own insurance company is directly is responsible for fixing your private property. You should be able to copy and paste that, and provide a link to the page.
I’m sorry if Sandy caused damage to your personal property. I’m not just saying I’m not. What I am saying is that I feel certain you are wrong if you believe the federal government – FEMA – is supposed to directly send contractors in to fix your property and pay for those repairs.
You’re complaint really is with your insurance company isn’t it?
No matter. Prove me wrong. Find the quote that actually says the Federal Government is responsible for directing and paying for the repair of your property. For starters, to prove your point, look here:

Walking on water is one thing, but to stop the seas from rising is a whole other trick …
“The Biggert-‐Waters Flood Insurance Reform Act of 2012 (“Reform Act”) was passed by Congress on June 29, 2012 as part of the surface transportation Conference Report (H.R.4348) and was signed by President Obama on July 6, 2012.1 The Reform Act reauthorizes the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) until September 30, 2017
and includes several reforms that could assist state and local governments looking to implement policies to adapt to sea-level rise and other flood impacts from climate change. The NFIP was created by the National Flood Insurance Act of 1968 (NFIA) and is administered by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).”

costs to fund the acquisition or relocation of severe repetitive loss structures, even where they do not
meet cost-effectiveness requirements.12″
Please, quote the source and page so that I can find that. Next, explain how that incomprehensible statement says the Federal Government is in charge of hiring contractors to fix, and pay for damage to someone’s personal property.
Next, and this is the important thing, explain why you are in favor of the Federal Government (meaning you, the taxpayer) replacing the damage to personal property caused by natural disasters, rather than insurance companies. If you believe that, why get insurance? You’re not one of those Big Government liberals are you? You, obviously, are. If you get hail damage, do you really expect me, an American taxpayer, to pay to replace you’re own personal property, because you’re too cheap to insure it?
You’re a communist. I get so sick of people like you saying “the Feds need to fix my house” and “fix my car” and “feed me” and so on. If you want to live in a communist country, then move to one. Communist! Marxist!

Your statement “No matter. Prove me wrong. Find the quote that actually says the Federal Government is responsible for directing and paying for the repair of your property. For starters, to prove your point, look here”
I proved you wrong using your link, I found the link I posted, which indicates the government pays for the damages directly as allocated by a “National ” insurance company, which is subsidized by the government.
Now here is where you are conflicted, I never said the government should fix your house, I am for little government and say leave it to the free market, people should have insurance …
Actually, I have no clue what you are talking about nor where you stand. I take that back, I know where you stand, but your statements are indicating otherwise, as if you are trying to pretend to be somebody else … I am guessing you are just in a manic phase again, and reality is escaping you in these waning hours .. I agree with you on this.
I have no idea how it actually works (I’m no insurance expert), but I have an idea of how it SHOULD work – that’s where we agree.
Private property should require private insurance.
Public property and infrastructure should be the responsibility if the government (local, then state, then Federal).
If people are expecting me to pay for their personal property, I say “No thank you!”
The others on here may be right…the Feds may have taken control of flood insurance (or disaster insurance), but that doesn’t mean they should.
Again, I’m no expert, but I think you and I agree on this.

This money was suppose to be for Sandy victims, not for a roof in Washington, buying some attorney general a car or something in Alaska and the list of wasteful spending goes on and on. Why his he being so silent about the Senate taking away the monies from the Sandy victims as he was with Boehner not taking it up. I am glad Boehner stopped it from moving forward as the victims would have had a third of the monies that were suppose to be for them. So contact the Governor to be more vocal on the waste.

Yes, our corrupt government should not give money to other countries. That was the policy of Ron Paul. I supported Ron Paul to the Nth degree. I dont know who you supported or voted for but i dont think you have any room to criticize me on this issue – i was on it first. Posted on January 4, 2013 at 8:01pm“we run this country, not you” in an epic segment.
That’s the way it’s supposed to be but it hasn’t been that way for many many years, what we have now is an imperial presidency that starts illegal wars and ignores congress. We’re much closer to the old Soviet Union today than Russia is to the old Soviet Union. Try to do anything and see how many permits you have to get from government, hell you need a permit to buy a firearm and that’s blatantly unconstitutional yet we still need a permit. Try using your so called ‘private property’ and see how many permits you need from government, you’ll see just how private your property really is.
The bigger this federal government gets the more liberties and freedom we lose,TSA,DHS, BATF and many many others are all designed to do two things, exert the power and control of the state over us and we’re losing more and more liberty and freedom everyday. So the man is right we are supposed to be their bosses but the sad reality is we are slaves to government.

Posted on January 4, 2013 at 8:24pmThe victims of Hurricane Sandy are seeing more and more the truth of the lefts hypocrisy. Obama cares nothing for the people of this land, and will do nothing to help them unless it is politically expedient for him to do so.
Obama only made the promises of aid to the victims for the elections, he never had any intentions of helping them unless they are democratic voter stronghold areas. Only those will receive any help, and then so long as it is, again, to Obama’s gain.

MILLIONS of so called “free” ObozoPhones were given out before the stolen Election. Many to people that admitted they didn’t even need or want them. This is the biggest Welfare “President”………Oh, God…..i just threw up in my mouth……….The biggest Welfare Communist Pig in AmeriKan history. Money is no object to him. look at the National Debt Clock. You do know we have one, right ? The numbers are spinning faster than a friggin Vegas Slot Machine about to go tilt.
How about Foreign Aid. What was it a few weeks ago ? 68 Billion ? to Pakistan. Our “Friends”.
Hell, i just realized who i’m talking to. Even if you thought i was right, you wouldn’t say so.
Heil Obama, Mein Fuhrer.

Posted on January 4, 2013 at 9:30pmSOY : All i’m saying is this Communist in charge, even though he is far from the first one, is throwing Billions in Foreign Aid mostly to our Enemies. And these are on a REGULAR basis, not ONLY during times of Disaster.
My next point is He and Biden BOTH PROMISED, face to face, hug to hug, to help the Sandy victims. If they PROMISE it, they should stand by that PROMISE.
I’m all for ending all of this damn spending, just like you are.
I have to admit that because this Communist is a Communist and a Lying, Murdering, Treasonous Bastard, i find it nearly impossible to approve of ANYTHING he does or says. His words are lies. They are Poison. He has proven he can’t be trusted. It just pis-ses me off when i see ANY Americans suffer and yet we throw away BILLIONS every year….to our friggin Enemies no less. We are empowering those who want US all dead, while Americans suffer.
It’s all ass backwards.
Good night all.

Of course – Obama is a politician….And an evil one at that
But be careful which standards you use to judge politicians. GW Bush also promised to rebuild New Orleans but he failed. But i bet you say that is the responsiblity of NO or Louisiana and not the white house. This guy on the article is only half right – but we shouldnt celebrate him because he leads us to the same progressive ideology

He handed this Fuhrer the biggest mess i can ever remember one President handing off to another. This is truly Bush’s fault, but he can be blamed only so long. It’s way past time for this Murdering Communist Pig to stop blaming Bush. This is all on him and has been for quite some time.
I don’t back ANY political Party. I’m for whoever i think ( hope ) can be trusted ( none of them ) and will do the right thing for America.

No, if disaster strikes – i promise i would not seek the help of the federal government. The fact that Obama promised help means nothing….We live in a Constitutional republic and it should count for something
With regard to your assumption……In fact, i pay into social security but i am doing everything i can to support and advance the proposal to end it! I would gladly give up all the money i have put into it to end that monster. Easy with the name calling

Posted on January 4, 2013 at 8:44pmSoy, I apologize for the name calling. But I’ve been in situations that require action I would not otherwise take. So its easy to judge sitting at your computer with the fridge and bathroom right there. Until you see your home, life and whatever just disapear, beware how you judge. These people are not long term food stamp people or lifelong social care people……they suffered a serious situation and need quick, imeadiate, one time help. That I’m for. Not all these people are sitting in coastal mansions.

I come from the perspective that the federal government does not offer help. Maybe there was a point in time before the progressives took over….But currently, our government is progressive from top to bottom. Better to seek help from your local and state government and tell the feds to take a hike
