A Minnesota-based publishing house has dropped one of its authors for calling a black conservative woman an “Aunt Tom” and “ignorant c–t” on Twitter.

Author Scott Colbert has since deleted the Friday tweet to Crystal Wright, known as “@GOPBlackChick,” and locked his Twitter feed, but not before conservative commentator and bestselling author Brad Thor highlighted it on his own Twitter account. Thor, a frequent Glenn Beck television and radio guest, replied to Colbert: “Did you just hurl a racial slur at my friend?”

Thor then proceeded to tweet Colbert’s publisher, KHP Publishers, Inc., and many of Colbert’s followers a screenshot of his epithet.

By Saturday, KHP had posted a message on its website announcing it had terminated its contract with an author, whom it did not name, due to an “inexcusable” incident.

“[T]he author made a racial slur at the person with KHP material plastering his Twitter page’s background. This involved the company, and we saw the results of this on our own Twitter page this morning,” KHP wrote. “[W]e find this inexcusable. In sticking to our own ‘zero tolerance’ model, we terminated our contract with this author immediately and his book is in the process of being removed from stores.”

The publisher noted that the decision was “not just a business issue” but a personal one as well — the company’s CEO is white and married to a black woman: “They have two beautiful children and have dealt with racism often in their lives. It simply will not be tolerated by any of us here at KHP.”

Wright told TheBlaze in a phone interview Sunday she isn’t sure what specifically prompted Colbert to send her the tweet. The editor of conservativeblackchick.com, she’s appeared on CNN, Fox News and TheBlaze TV and said she frequently receives obscene and racist messages on Twitter.

“From progressives who so-called preach tolerance…there is not a day or minute goes by in my Twitter feed that someone doesn’t call me an Uncle Tom, an Aunt Tom, ‘I’m not black,’” Wright said.

Wright said she gives every credit to Thor for blasting the tweet out and showing that “really most of this is coming from the left.” She said she applauds KHP for terminating their contract with Colbert but questioned their call not to name him in their statement.

KHP associate editor Jerrod Balzer said in an email to TheBlaze the decision not to name Colbert came from an immediate “need to wash our hands of him, so to speak, in regards to our web presence.”

“In the heat of the moment, we were so disgusted with the situation that we didn’t want any traces of his name or book on our site to be found. We were hurt that someone would start such a horrible fire, then lock his account so that it all went to us,” Balzer wrote.

He said Colbert attempted to “shrug it off” with an apology email to them, but that the decision to terminate him was made.

“Anyone who would stand as a representative of our company…and express such racism… well, they needed to be gone from us, right away,” Balzer wrote.

In an email to TheBlaze, Colbert said his tweet to Wright was prompted by something she had posted against gay marriage.

“As a gay man, I found the idea of one minority group supportive of denying the rights of another minority group hypocritical,” Colbert said. “The fact she is a very vocal supporter of a political party whose track record on minority rights abysmal also hypocritical — hence my Uncle Tom comment.”

He said he deleted the tweet within minutes of posting it, admitting it was “over the top,” and “unwarranted.” He said he’s received more than 200 hate tweets and several death threats from Twitter users in response.

“I realized my mistake and deleted the tweet almost immediately,” Colbert wrote. “Since then I’ve been labeled a racist (which is absolutely absurd — especially to those who know me), had my life threatened, called far worse than anything I said and still continue to get hate tweets. I’ve had to protect my Twitter account, change my phone number, change my email and somehow I’m the bully?”

Colbert said he hasn’t reached out to Wright to apologize and is not sure if he will.

“My use of language was unwarranted, but not sure if it’s too little too late,” he said.

Wright said Colbert’s tweet is not the worst message she’s ever received, but certainly ranks near the top.

“A friend of mine was talking to me today and said, ‘You know Crystal, I can’t imagine that this doesn’t bother you at some point.’ And you know, it does,” she said. “For some reason they think it’s OK to attack women. It’s very misogynist.”

  An “aunt tom”? I thought an “uncle tom” was actually a compliment at one time? Obvious it’s been twisted to mean something else. I had to laugh that Brad Thor tweeted Scott Colbert’s publisher and got him dropped from the company.

  He was offended that she supported a political party whose record on minority rights was so abysmal? Really? Has he ever actually bothered to do some reading and find out which political party actually abolished slavery? Which political party actually got rid of segregation in the south? Which party actually sees Americans instead of races, genders and sexuality? Which party actually thinks that people can succeed if given the opportunities and an environment that rewards hard work? The other party has succeeded in enslaving minorities to the inner cities with a legacy of failed schools, illiteracy, illegitimacy, government dependence and a constant reminder that some evil white male CEO is responsible for their failure to succeed. I am astounded at the ignorance and intolerance of the leftists in this country. If you intend to blindy support the democratic party then at least embrace what they have done and admit that you support their legacy of failures as well. It’s just that it is not possible for anyone who is black to think for him or herself, not follow the liberal eschatology in lock step, or have traditional values. If you are black it is a given that you are a dependent and thus must support those who provide for you, since you are incapable of it yourself. Nothing racist about that. ”

  The beauty of it is that if he were called the ‘normal things’ that the right calls the left, he would wear them as a badge of honor. Instead he is being called the very things that the left calls the right, which makes him vile. to his own. To the left the worst thing one can be is a racist, or intolerant, or a homophobe. We on the right get called this so much that its now par for the course. I doubt many on the Blaze would even blink an eye at being called these names, they cease to have any meaning or power if they are repeated enough.

  Democrats have always hated minorities, but are happy to take their votes and freedom. Giving handouts and keeping an entire race down under the guise of “helping” is sickening. Anyone who thinks that giving a handout instead of a hand up is either fooling themselves, or have been fooled by others.
  
  Liberals remind me of swaying church-goers who grunt and nod in agreement to anything that is said by the person up front, for surely anybody in (whatever) position only has the best intentions and can only speak the truth, even if they don’t know what they’re saying.

  Second, people will say bad things about politicians & unelected people who are their co-partisans. It is called venting. People do vent. No apologies are required. I saw Andarra tell some one to no vent so much. That person might actually do so, since Andarra is not a troll unlike yourself.

  See also: David Duke’s 1988 Dem PotUS run, “Sheets” Byrd, Woodrow Wilson’s policies and the fact that when Wilson picked the first motion picture ever to be shown at the White House, it was a KKK recruitment movie called “Birth of a Nation.” It’s also important to note that the Klan went after white Republicans for supporting blacks’ civil rights as well.
  
  Civil Rights, by the way, that Dems generally (but LBJ in particular) held up and/or filibustered every time a Republican bill came to the floor in the ’50′s. They only “saw the light” when in the ’60′s, LBJ could sign his name at the bottom of the bill as PotUS and take credit for it.
  
  The “racist South” always gets the blame, but you’ll notice that right about the same time the nation agreed that blacks have the same rights as everyone else, the South rejected the Dems who held them down for so long.
  
  Of course, Dems just claim that’s just the “Nixon Southern Strategy” and racial dogwhistles, but the facts are there, plain to see for anyone who’s willing to look.
  
  The GOP is not the racist party bent on keeping minorities down. Dems were, but now they’ve evolved from the party bent on keeping minorities down into a party trying to bring economic prosperity down… so we can all be as miserable as those they made miserable oh so many years ago.

Since when is being gay considered a minority? I mean technically speaking, are they entitled to anything special because they like to have sex with memebers of their own gender?   why is it that we call the “African” Americans” ; the black a minority when most are part white. It seem that the black race has played the card enough, only 5% of the pre Civil War population owed slaves and many of them were in the north to include Mrs Lincoln after the war. the war did not end with slavery in the north. If any peoples were royaly F—–! it was and is the native Americans. It seem even the blacks have moved in on the Indian Casinos, especially in the NE.   The verse you misquoted as Matthew 23:27 actually reads as follows, “Woe to you, TEACHERS OF THE LAW and PHARISEES, you hypocrites!… ”

  In Genesis 20, Abraham was terrified that Pharoah would kill him to get his wife, so he lied, saying she was his sister. He was basically trying to divorce his wife and give her to Pharoah to save his own life.
  
  In Genesis 19, Lot’s daughters had just witnessed God rain fire down on the only cities they had know, and they were terrified that they were the last humans alive. So, they were mistakenly trying to have children with the last man on Earth.
  
  So neither one of these stories is about incest among the Jews. That’s not to suggest that no Jew has ever committed incest. When Herod Antipas married his brothers wife, while his brother was still alive, for example. And this led to the arrest of John the Baptist, and the story goes down hill from there. In fact, Jewish history is of a stubborn people who continually stumbled from grace, falling into the false religious beliefs and wicked habits of their Arab neighbors (hmmm). Why not use that?! Why not use the truth?!

It was a Republican who freed the slaves, and Republicans who consistently voted FOR civil rights acts, and the Dems against, until LBJ figured out they could get “de facto slavery” by means of deception instead and now they’ve got so many blacks voting for them even though they refuse to actually help improve their lives.

And to compare immorality with skin color is highly offensive.

The so called “democrats” or “liberals” or “socialists” (call em whichever, all those terminologies are interrelated and correct) are, for the most part (and I really mean MOST part,) immoral, lying, racist, power hungry, whoreish, sycophantic control freaks. And the republicans in this day and age have themselves become “democrat-lite.” There are NO democrats who want this country to return to its former glory and there are VERY few Republicans who are still fighting for the true America of our forefathers. Of all the human beings I have met from around the world, the Chicomms and American Liberals are by far the worst who exist in “civilized society.” They are only followed closely by every other liberal group worldwide and the Islamic extremists (which is almost ALL of Muslims anyhow.)

When will the world actualy read “Uncle Tom’s Cabin” and discover that Tom was not a sellout to the race, but allowed himself to be beaten to death in order to help a pair of his fellow slaves escape? Tom was upright and honest, hard working, and refused to be depenent when he could take care of himself.

I acknowlege that it’s been used as an insult for so long by race baiters that I would not use the term because it would likely be taken poorly, but being called an “Uncle Tom” *SHOULD* be high praise for being a man of virtue and principle.

As for Colbert, he has proven himself to be petty, angry, unprincipled, abusive, insulting, and complety unsuitable for polite company.

The media is a piece of garbage and nearly makes me want to drop out of college because I can’t stand the intellectual elites any longer. The only reason I am in college is because I need to get a degree so I can deliver the message that the Intellectual elites can not. As is no suprise, the intellects prescribe to the idea that if you teach a person the needed knowledge to deal with a specific problem, then the solution is simple;. Like their education has granted them some special knowledge or something, and by having that, they can help and fix people with it. Being an actual recovering addict and going through various expensive rehab programs, I found my solution in a place that was free and the only thing that worked, the 12 step program. I happened to finally get what the program offered and got sober while serving a mandatory stint as an out patient at a local rehab center. I knew the solution, but never once had the intellects deliver the message. Instead, I was often challenged, while they acknowledged the need for meetings, they had no clue what it really means to find a power greater than yourself. They don;t seem to get that if people could change on their own, they would have once the pain started to be a result of their addiction.   Yes, Scott Cobert issued a “non-apology apology”. Cobert basically said because she is a member of a party that does not support the gay agenda, then she has whatever is coming to her.
  
  Never mind that the APA determined that homosexuality was a paraphilia before deciding it wasn’t in the last decade or so. There reasoning is that if homosexuality does not cause problems with the rest of society & the homosexual is not ego dystonic, then it must be peachy keen.
  
  So in short order society must conform to the gay agenda so there are no societal problems & gays must convince themselves that they are okay. See … no problem.
