Cory Booker Offering $1,000 Reward for Info on Illegally Owned Guns
Newark, N.J., mayor and rising Democrat star Cory Booker has a plan to curb gun violence in his city: Offer a $1,000 reward for information leading to the seizure of illegally owned firearms.
No, really: The city has set up an anonymous hotline and everything.
“We have had a significant reduction in shootings in our city, but it is still too many,” the mayor says in a television commercial. “There is a small group of people in our city that thinks they can walk around with guns. It is unacceptable. But we can’t just wish this would stop. We can’t just hope this will stop. We as individuals have to do something about it.”
“So we have a program in our city right now that’s completely anonymous and we will give you cash,” he continues, “$1,000 to anyone who calls our anonymous tip line. Give us the information about who is carrying a gun and we don’t even have to have a conviction. We arrest that individual and simply get that gun off the streets.”

What is likely to happen is they will get 9-10 guns before a mistake is made and they are sued to the bone. Then they will pay out say a 100,000.00 settlement and those 10 guns will have cost them 110,000.00

Why the guns are illegal is what remains anonymous. Consider this:
I steal some legally owned guns out of the house of an upstanding citizen. I go to a park and hide the guns (which are now illegally in my position, therefore illegal guns) behind a tree. I call the hotline and tell them where these guns are. The cops come grab the guns and impound them, and for my troubles in assisting their gun grab give me $1,000.
THAT IS WHAT THIS IS ABOUT.

When law abiding citizens are saying “from my cold dead hands” … What makes booker think that an officer will be able to just stroll up and ask for the weapon then cuff the perp? This could get ugly. Violence on cops and retribution to those who are narcing.

it shouldn’t be much of a problem
to know who and where to get the guns from.
If the police don’t know where the culprits live (exactly), they know what neighborhoods
the hoods hang out in.
They know who they associate with.
They know what time(s) they meet.
Besides, all they have to do is look in the areas where gun-murders happen.
For starters, get warrants for surprise inspections of low income housing facilities.
That would save money and lives, and get the guns out of the hands of the dangerous.
$1,000 per piece? WOW! Where is that money coming from –taxpayers? (sarcasim)
Another bright idea –eh???

You go to said bank, send in a slip with the number you were given written on it, and the teller sends out your cash, no signature , no id. I am quite sure your photo will be taken by the bank camera,and the vehicles license plate as well, i imagine. Almost anonymous.

Those same cops are now body guards and still carry an ilegal gun in case someone gets the drop on them. I had my rt. boot modified for my Bond Arms .410/.45 double brrel derringer with the .410 on top but is is legal and I have a carry permit.

The other day someone here posted the numbers….The Federal government is not large enough or talented enough to seize guns. If they were to do 5-8 raids a day seizing guns, they would be physically and mentally exhausted and need a break. Physically conducting raids is exhausting. After the first few raids, the word would get out and Americans would start to fight back. It would take one good ambush from a house or along a travel route to decimate a tactical force or make it combat ineffective
If the president ever let the U.N. in this country, it would be a foreign invasion and armed Americans would stand up and crush them in a day. Our government would break down and the president would be ousted for letting foreign militaries invade our country.
Here’s an Idea. The corrupt politicians want our guns right? How about they themselves come get them. Franken-Stien, Ried, McCain, obama, Biden, et al. Lets go, gear up, come & take them!

Maybe we can get an interactive map together after that to show the names and addresses of the payouts for those tips. A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.
You want to have a law over guns? Fine. The constitution provides clear direction on how to amend it. Go for it. In the meantime, all other laws on the subject are unconstitutional.

Total cost to you should be under $5,000.
Take these guns and over a period of 3 months hide them in the homes and apartments of gang bangers, criminals, and people you don’t like.
Call the hotline and do about 20 a week.
In about 4 months you should collect a cool 100 grand for your $5,000 dollar investment. Do this twice a year for 10 years then retire in Belize and live like a king.
