‘I Want Him to Be Free’: Guess Which Convicted Terrorist Egypt’s Morsi Is Talking About

In an exclusive interview with CNN’s Wolf Blitzer in Cairo, Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi, of the Muslim Brotherhood, said he wants President Barack Obama to release Omar Abdel-Rahman, also known as the “Blind Sheikh.” The blind Egyptian cleric was convicted in connection with the 1993 World Trade Center bombing and is currently in U.S. custody.

“I want him to be free,” Morsi said, “but I respect the law and the rule of law in Egypt and the Untied States. What I am talking about isn’t a violation…There could be things like visitation, assistance, his children, his family, assisting him.  He is an old sheikh and sick and blind.”

While Morsi claims he merely wants Abdel-Rahman back in Egypt based on humanitarian and health concerns, the terrorist cleric is a revered figure in the country and many fear he would be released completely once in Egyptian custody.

“I wish that there could be a big possibility for the American administration to look into this matter about this sheikh, who is very old, without there being, I don’t intend on violating the rule of law in anyplace.  And I don’t like anyone asking me to violate the rule of law in my own country,” he added.

Morsi went on to say that he will address the issue when he meets with Obama sometime before March.

When asked what he thinks about Obama, Morsi said: “I respect him and I value him. He played an effective and important role in the cease-fire in regards to Gaza and the end of attacks against Gaza. He cooperated with us in a big way and I’m still in constant communication with him. When we meet, there will be a chance to talk about cooperation in different areas, like scientific research, manufacturing and production, investments and tourism.”

The federal government has denied previous reports that the Obama administration was ever considering releasing the Blind Sheikh into Egyptian custody.

“Reports saying otherwise are completely and unequivocally false,” National Security Staff spokeswoman Bernadette Meehan said.

      In today’s headlines, 08 Jan 12, the end game of Obama’s months-long conspiracy was finally revealed.
      I am referring to the news that Egypt’s President Morsi has called for the release of the Blind Sheik from a federal prison in North Carolina. You will doubtless remember the Blink Sheik. He’s the main man in the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center.
      Evidently, months ago, Obama had already cut a deal with Egypt’s Morsi to release the Blind Sheik. Outrageous, you say? Not really. Continue reading.
      In the aftermath of the demonstration at the US Embassy in Cairo on 9/11/12, Canada’s Sun News reported that Americans “are being lied to” about the demonstrations at both Cairo and Benghazi. Sun News’ Brian Lilley went on to explain that there was no “spontaneous” aspect to the demonstration at the US Embassy in Cairo on 9/11/12. How could there be when local Cairo newspapers carried the announcement of the demonstration for weeks in advance. That’s right; and, street posters hung from light poles throughout the city also announced the rally. The demonstrations were all planned well in advance.
      Brian Lilley also showed a CNN video that was taken early in the morning of 9/11/12 which featured an interview with the son of the blind Sheik and also the brother of the leader of Al Qaeda, Dr. Alwasheri.       When Nick Robertson, the well-known CNN reporter asked both men why there was going to be a demonstration at the US Embassy later that day, they both answered that it was to help build support for the release of the Blind Sheik. Pretty simple, huh? Brian Lilley refused to obey CNN’s orders to Sun News and the rest of their Canadian affiliates to not air the video.
      And, when Al Qaeda attacked the US compound in Benghazi later in the day, wasn’t it clever for Obama and his drones to say that the “spontaneous” demonstration in Cairo over a Youtube video had led to the demonstrations in Benghazi that got out-of-hand? The official account by the Obamaites accomplished two things: First, the Obama video story masked the fact that the US taxpayers had paid for the advertisements run by the Morsi, Muslim brotherhood-backed government to attack our own US Embassy; and, secondly, that the same video was responsible for the death of Ambassador Stevens and three others later that night in Benghazi. Never mind that the CIA was obviously running guns out of Benghazi to Al Qaeda and the Muslim Brotherhood in Syria! Hillary Clinton even promised the father of one of the slain ex-SEALs, Mr. Woods, that the Obama administration was going to jail the Youtube video producer.
      Doesn’t that explanation sink a dagger into your heart? Not only is Obama going to release a convicted terrorist criminal, he continues using your tax dollars to accomplish his treasonous goals, lying about

    I want a solid gold toilet, but that is not going to happen anytime soon.

    Remember this creep was involved in the original attack on the WTC, with the goal of causing one tower to crash into the other, bringing both down, possibly killing twenty times the number lost on 9/11. The fact that only six were killed is not the point. It was the intent to kill thousands more.

    And remember how the Lockerbie bomber suckered the authorities in the UK to let him go on humanitarian reasons because he had terminal cancer, but after he was let go, he made a miraculous recovery. He was probably belly laughing at his inginuity; at least until Libya fell.

    By the way, I wonder what happened to that rascal. Hopefully, he caught a stray bullet.

    It has been said .. The sheikh will be out … I have money that he will be on a plane to Egypt by June of this year .. CAIR will have a petition to the white house and That Guy will sell us a bill of goods that people in Americans are such a forgiving bunch. And the uninformed will be lining Pennsylvania Ave for a hug by That Guy.

      IF Morsi IS IN constant contact with Obama, Morsi IS the trial balloon and the blind old bomber WILL be released just like they released that killer (who was on his death bed) a few years ago. Just because this guy is old doesn’t mean he’s not dangerous. IF Obama let’s that CONVICTED MASS MURDER go free, American’s will call for his head, the guy was 2nd in command to Bin Laden.

    The Blind Sheik will be freed by late summer, if he’s not freed by Death before then. On the other hand, no rational person can put it beyond the will of this “Administration” to declare his release do to imminent death, only to have him appear alive and well in all his glory in Egypt.

    Erahhh, anybody recall how the Shoe-bomber got his Out-Of-Jail-Free card?

      Hi MONK, hehehe, I certainly find myself in agreement with you on those comments. But, with 0bama, and Holder in DC, one can never tell. I had just walked into the Burger King on post in Bad Kreuznach, Germany when the first news of that bombing came across AFN TV News. It is one of those things like remembering where you where when hearing about the JFK assassination.

      I remember exactly where I was and what I said when the TV announced Kennedy was shot.

      I also remember hearing when the first plane hit on 9-11 and pulling over and getting a local Spanish convenience store to change the channel to the news.

      And I know for a fact I will not remember where I was if the blind sheik is released because it will be done in secret.

      Hi MONK, same here on those. With JFK I was in the fifth grade and on the playground when another teacher came out to inform our teacher then us. I was in a library on 9-11 when somebody rushed in saying something about a plane hitting the first tower. I helped the librarian hook a TV back to the cable and get it on where we sat in total awe then disgust later when the second plane hit.

      I was in sophmore speech class when the news of JFK came. We didn’t have any tvs so we listened on the radio piped over the loud speaker.

      I was in my office when the planes hit on 9/11. We shut down our entire manufacturing line to watch on tv.

      Blind Shiek, I just want to know the date of his death in the US prision system.

      I can never forget the date of bombing, 21 December 1988. I was on that very flight three days earlier on the 18th returning from my second tour in Europe. My Mom and I were sitting in their den when it came across the news. Only three and a half years earlier while I was on PCS leave to return to Germany she and I were sitting in the den when the news of a bombing on the American side of the Frankfurt Airport came across.

    I want him to be free, come on man, he wears a Santa Claus hat, he is a good guy. Besides, he is blind, he can’t fly a plane. Morsi will also ask Obama for an I Pod with his speeches on it, and some VHS tapes, especially Ishtar, he really likes that movie. And if Obama can bring some hotties with him, they can make a deal.

    Uh, isn’t this what Glenn talked about months ago and it was denied by the administration. The Muslim Brotherhood wants the blind sheik and Obama will accommodate his Muslims brothers. Wake up folks, he is a Muslim and stands with them. Obama could care less what the American people think; isn’t that clear yet?

      I kind of doubt that obama would. But I can see him explaining it one humanitarian ground saying he is aged or for reason for maintaining good relations with Egypt.

      I just hope he does it 2 weeks before midterm elections not 2 weeks afterwards.
