Former U.S. Marine Vs. Piers Morgan on Guns: ‘We Can’t Give Up Our Rights Because We’re Afraid’

Former U.S. Marine Joshua Boston Battles CNNs Piers Morgan on Gun Control

CNN

Fresh off his crazy interview with Alex Jones, CNN’s Piers Morgan hosted former U.S. Marine Joshua Boston on Tuesday to continue the debate over whether America needs stricter gun laws to address violent crime. Boston’s scathing letter to Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) regarding her strict gun control proposals, titled “No Ma’am,” went viral last week.

Boston said more gun laws is not what the country needs — It needs more firearms in the hands responsible gun owners.

“Where does that lead America to, other than utter Wild West hell,” Morgan later asked.

Boston calmly replied, “They said this was going to happen whenever Texas instituted its concealed handgun laws, and it hasn’t happened.” The former marine went on to say that there were concealed carry permit holders at several shootings, including the Tucson, Ariz. shooting that injured Rep. Gabby Giffords, but they did not draw and start firing their guns wildly.

“The American people aren’t as gun happy and as trigger happy as they are being made out to be by the media,” he said. “They are smarter than that. They know when to hold their fire, they know when to fire. And we can increase the chances of success for these people who get caught in these situations, for their survival, by education. We’ve got to stop making this a taboo subject to everyone because its scary.”

“We can’t give up our rights because we’re afraid,” Boston said.

To that, Morgan replied, “I believe the rights of a 6 or 7-year-old child to go to school without the fear of being murdered” are more important than other rights.

Boston then noted that the previous assault weapons ban didn’t stop Columbine from happening. Congress will never be able to legislate bad people from doing bad things, he explained.

Not a single child was shot in the deadliest school massacre in the US. In the 1927 Bath school massacre 38 children and six adults were killed while 58 more people were injured. Andrew Kehoe, a disgruntled school board member bludgeoned his wife to death, burnt down his farm, blew up the School and then himself in his pickup truck taking out several bystanders. In 1927 it was legal for Kehoe to own a full automatic weapon. Approximately 500 lbs of his explosives did not go off or the death toll would have been much higher.
Disarming law abiding citizens does not deter a determined mass killer. Let’s not forget that slaves were the first people in the US to be illegally disarmed.

Your little ***** arse just might have to pick up a gun to fight for what your forefathers gave you and the rest of the world. Or you can do like your family probably did during the American revolution with people who had the balls to pick up guns and chase you back across the sea, hide behind mommy’s skirt and let somebody else pick up those old mean old guns to save your sorry ****! Join the real world, girl!

13A, Beck is a Mormon, and while he might be saved, he likely believes their outrageous, extra-biblical beliefs. Strange, no inane liberals or incorrigbles are commenting…..

See, what these people do not understand is that they will be among the first gone when the revolution comes. I wonder is Morgan is protected by armed security; does anyone know where one might legally acquire that information?

    The question is cause.

Violent choices are reduced as more and more ethical, moral, self reliant individuals are added to the population.

State run mandatory attendance public schools no longer teach ethics, morality or self reliance.

pierce Morgan is an idiot. Unfortunately liberals are never asked the questions, they are always asking the questions and then giving their stupid, idiotic opinion. Who is talking about banning movies and video games that have violence? I don’t see anyone on the left pointing the finger at all the gratuitous violence that has desensitized and hypnotized so many people into violent acts. What about the glorification of drugs, something every liberal loves to use, and claim never killed anyone, what about promoting such drugs that’s trade has killed thousands of people, but in stead of tightening the ban on drugs there they are pushing for increased legalization of drugs. Do they think that if it is legal nobody will kill anyone for them anymore. They are so backwards. They want the right to chose to kill an unborn baby, but god forbid you run a pipe through the habitat of the caribou disrupting the “potential life of future caribou. The point is, none of it makes sense, and it never will. People need to stop voting for liberals, or we deserve what we get. Any of you idiots who didn’t vote for Romney because he wasn’t conservative enough, how you like the results now?? Give it 4 more years

    From THE REPORTER
    zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Notice how Pierce Morgan CONTROLS the interview with leading questions and prejudicial remarks when the answers are given.

Fortunately, in spite of Glenn Beck’s biased, unfair criticism, Alex Jones shut Morgan down during his interview.

In the United States everyone wants to be so prim and proper and when someone gets into someones face, as Jones did to Morgan, all of a sudden you are a lunatic.

It’s time that people have the courage to shut these guys down during interviews. Jones is the only one with the courage to do so. He also made some devastating points and pointed out Pierce Morgans true colors and identity. Go Alex, go.

Morgan evidently gets his education from the movie industry. The “Wild” West was not all that “Wild”. Why? Criminals were dealt with swiftly once caught. Violence against the people was cured with a prescription of rope tied around the neck. Recidivism was not a possibility. We need to expedite violent criminals meeting with our Creator. Also, we must return to the days of identifying madmen, removing them from society, treating them humanely, in a locked, controlled environment if necessary. Slippery slope? Of course. Everything in life is a slippery slope. Mistakes are going to be made. Fix them and move on. Destroying the State’s mental health hospital systems was not the right and proper fix.

The argument always gets sidetracked on various issues by the liberals, we must always remember that regardless of the many various reasons that we need guns i.e. to protect our lives, property etc. We should always bring the conversation back to why the founding fathers created the 2nd Amendment in the first place. Its not for hunting, its for standing up to a tyrannical government. Its the one argument that liberals dont really have a legitimate response for and they will always try and steer away from it. You can not defend against a tyrannical government should the need ever arise and god hope it doesn’t with bolt action rifles. Period! We’ve seen the government step on the 1st Amendment, The 2nd Amendment, the 4th Amendment and the 10th Amendment numerous times. The Patriot Act, Arrest of American citizens without Habeus Corpus, warrant-less surveillance and recording of phone calls by the NSA, Sobriety Checkpoints, and many more examples are all signs that given time the government will step all over citizens rights and ignore the constitution of the United States. At some point the government thugs will overstep their bounds too far and at that point the American people will need to stand up for themselves. This is the only reason we need for arguing the 2nd Amendment.

Correct me if I am wrong; but wasn’t it put in the constitution that we have the right to bear arms to defend ourselves as well as to help insure the people of their freedoms against a strong arm of government take over,, or was that Sweden, or was that for rabbit and squirrel hunting? I was pretty sure the people are the employers of the govt. and govt. works for us. I know several schools that have cameras and intercom and are always locked down and do not let anyone in without ID why not do that with the schools and stop this crazed administration from messing with our rights as free people and keep our children safe as well. I think this is just another ploy to destroy more of our freedoms in this country.

Joshua Boston is wrong. He makes the stupid gun nut analogy about cars and guns. How many times do Americans have to inform these idiots that cars are made to TRANSPORT people somewhere. Get it? They are transportation and not made to kill as an AR-15 or semi-automatic weaponry. No, we don’t take cars from people due to accidents. Accidents happen on the road, on the freeways, with higher speeds, etc. Semi-automatic weapons are made to kill. It is no accident that they kill, and kill many. The analogy that gun nuts use is not logical or reasonable. The point made about the guy having 6 bullets in him and just getting up and walking off, so that’s why we need military-grade weaponry is just stupid. There’s no other word to describe that type of statement. For one thing, we don’t even know if that happened. It is probably a right wing fable. For another thing is not even remotely feasible. The thing is that Morgan invites these guys onto his show, and just lets them dig themselves deeper and deeper. He doesn’t have to argue, or talk over them. They do themselves no favor by just opening their mouths and making these ludicrous statements.

Piers Morgan doesn’t see the purpose of a U.S. citizen having an AR-15. He’s an idiot, and Thomas Jefferson, who was much more wise that Piers ever will be, disagrees with Piers:

“Laws that forbid the carrying of arms . . . disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes . . . Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.”
–Thomas Jefferson, quoting Cesare Beccaria in On Crimes and Punishment (1764).

“Firearms stand next in importance to the constitution itself. They are the American people’s liberty teeth and keystone under independence … from the hour the Pilgrims landed to the present day, events, occurences and tendencies prove that to ensure peace security and happiness, the rifle and pistol are equally indispensable … the very atmosphere of firearms anywhere restrains evil interference — they deserve a place of honor with all that’s good.”

First President of the United States
