You might remember the short but perhaps not-so-sweet letter sent this summer from then-Florida Congressman Allen West to the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) with little more than the word “NUTS!” Now that letter is up for auction with the starting price set at $1,000.
When the letter was first making headlines in July 2011, TheBlaze blog reported that it was in response to a letter CAIR initially sent the former Republican House member encouraging him to denounced “anti-Muslim activists.” The slim content of West’s letter simply read:
Dear Mr. Hamze and Mr. Shibly:
I’m writing with regard to your recent letter:
NUTS!
Steadfast and loyal,
Allen B. West

BizPac Review reported that West’s letter was put up for sale on eBay Monday. There are currently no bids on the letter, which will be up on the auction site until January 17.
