TheBlaze Radio Makes Exciting Announcement: Guess Who’s Joining the Team

(Photo: TheBlaze)
TheBlaze, Glenn Beck’s news, information and entertainment network, announced today the exciting expansion of TheBlaze Radio Network to 13 hours of live programming with the addition of Doc Thompson’s new show during morning drive.
The Morning Blaze with Doc Thompson, which will debut on January 21st, will be a mix of topical stories and politics tackled with passion, fun and entertainment and will cover everything from day-to-day life to personal freedom and responsibility. Thompson brings years of radio experience to the network, including hosting shows in major markets like Detroit and serving as a regular guest host of the Glenn Beck Radio Program since 2008.
Thompson said: “I’m incredibly honored to be part of TheBlaze. This is an amazing opportunity for me everyday to express the principles of the Constitution, fight for Freedom and spend Glenn’s money. I’m ready to host a national radio show but trust me, the elected elitists in DC are not ready for me!”
Dom Theodore, Program Director at TheBlaze Radio Network said: “Doc Thompson has an amazing track record of success at some of America’s biggest talk stations, in addition to his manyyears of guest hosting for Glenn Beck. His humorous style and unique approach makes him the perfect choice for mornings on The Blaze Radio Network.”
Chris Peterson also joins TheBlaze Radio Network as Assistant Program Director after over five years at Premiere Radio Networks, most recently as Director of Affiliate Relations. As Assistant Program Director, Peterson will work with Theodore on traditional and digital marketing and management of TheBlaze Radio Network.
Theodore said: “Chris brings a wealth of experience in radio to our network and I am excited to have someone of his caliber join our team as we continue to expand original content in 2013.”
TheBlaze Radio Network’s line-up is now:
- 6am – 9am: The Morning Blaze with Doc Thompson
- 9am – Noon: The Glenn Beck Program
- Noon – 2pm: Pat and Stu
- 2pm – 5pm: Jay Severin
- 5pm – 6pm: Glenn Beck TV (simulcast of Glenn’s TV show)
- 6pm – 7pm: Real News from the Blaze (simulcast of TV)
TheBlaze Radio Network can be heard on iHeartRadio, Clear Channel’s free industry-leading digital radio service, TheBlaze.com and TheBlaze iPhone and iPad apps.

BUT…….if it isn’t on my local radio station, I won’t be able to listen to him, nor do I understand what I have to do to get it, nor can I get your TV show as I don’t have that ability to get it, nor do I understand ruko (or whatever it is)
Man, it sucks to be old and don’t understand this new technology.

Or to really simplify, just go down the sidebar right here where your posting until you find the RED space that says “Glenn Beck Radio” click on “Listen Live” and you’ve got it. It’s right above the place for The Blaze TV. It’ll open the little window that gives you the audio. Just hit the “Minimize” (The little underline thing in the top right corner.) It will keep playing the radio cast playing while you do your normal thing.

The problem with economic/finance guys is they all teach from an historical sense, what we’re heading for has history, but not in the way any financial advisors can teach to the Blazers. Glenn probably does as well as they to comment on having things on hand to barter with.

Posted on January 9, 2013 at 10:56amI think the linup is great, but I would rather see some other shows than the simulcast. There are already so many ways (and more coming) to watch the line-up. Maybe do a repeat of Wilkows radio show (if you can get it from siriusxm) and truthfully Hannity would be great as well with his show. BUT I doubt Hannity would allow that. I have no clue what is actually going on between them, but I have seen Beck talk nicely about him numerous times where Hannity will never even mention anything to do with Beck. TheBlaze has some exciting times ahead and I am glad to have been a subscriber for over a year now. But as much as I enjoy watching Glenn, it is hard to convince others that the network is worth a shot if they don’t care for him because they only know what the MSM have said about him. In order to be what the network can be, TheBlaze needs to focus on the news and not its 5pm timeslot. That being said, 5pm is the only show I watch just about everyday. Everything else is on a time available basis.
The new news shows sound like they will be great. It will be hard to watch it all in any given day though!

Posted on January 9, 2013 at 11:48amThe pressure on WRVA/Richmond to get rid of Doc was not coming from conservatives, libertarians, and/or Tea Party members. He was a big supporter of the Tea Party in the central Virginia area.
And, yes, they did fire him while he was on his honeymoon which showed a real lack of class.

Posted on January 9, 2013 at 11:54amI have to agree. Love everything except Real News. I thought Real News would be a show where simple facts were presented. This has not been the case. Instead, it is the usual round table of prideful arguing that we get everywhere else. I hate to say it, but I do feel that the group on Real News is just jockying for position. Some while trying to show the world what brilliant minds they possess. Then I have to watch Cain go on CNN or MSNBC and allow himself to get pelted by some of the biggest dopes on television. It was unbearable to watch the discussion on the Sandy Hook shootings. He had the opportunity to put the conversation on the right track. The track where the discussion is based on this question……”Why was the 2nd amendment written to begin with?” “Is the government to be feared?” “What (if anything) is there to fear about a large centralized government?” What recourse do the citizens have against an oppressive government? What does it tell you when the government itself is calling for gun control? What could the government do if it had all the weapons of the citizens? Could you fight back with small arms and win against the govt.? How would you fare against the govt. if you had small arms (or nothing at all) and they had automatic weapons? Have there been any recent examples of the government threatning or intimidating individual citizens? If so, what happened? Does the govt. listen to your complaints or just ignore you? What do you think

Nor can conservatives ever win if they spend all of their time fighting fellow conservatives instead of the radical Left. This conservative in-fighting is part of the current radical Left Democrat’s political strategy . They thank you for either instigating such or for playing along. Both only help the Alinsky- inspired, radical Left whose only code is ” winning, ” not how you play the game.

Barber2,
Like Andrew Breitbart stated, “If you can’t sell freedom, you suck.” I’m sorry but the Republicans’ ideas of freedom – suck and it doesn’t sell. This is why we can not attract the youth and grow our base. I agree that conservatives and libertarians need to stick together, but too many people who call themselves “republicans” and not truly conservatives (they give us a bad name.). True conservatives (libertarians) understand that freedom is a double-edged sword, but still will defend it at all costs (instead of making exceptions). This is fundamental in preserving a “republic”. I bet most “republicans” do not know what “republicanism” means. Libertarians were screaming for freedom long before the Tea Party came along and we will be keeping the fire burning long after it’s gone. Here’s my blog spot which I think can help unite Republicans, conservatives, libertarians and even liberals behind one principle- federalism. http://from1776toeternity.blogspot.com/2012/05/from-1776-to-eternity.html

His fiancee got a job in Detroit, nd for many moths Thompson was doing his Rchmond-themed show FROM THERE. When that became unworkable, WRVA tried to make him a better offer if he moved back, but Doc couldn’t be convinced.
That’s not me saying it, that’s what the NEWS DIRECTOR (and host of WRVA’s popular 6-9 am newsprogram) told everyoen on the air when the station got FLOODED with complaints after Doc left.
Richmond’s loss is the Blaze’s gain. Believe me.
