MSNBC Guest Patricia Maisch Calls Sandy Hook Victims Little Martyrs for Gun Control

A woman who helped disarm Jared Loughner, the crazed individual who shot former U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords and killed six others in Arizona in 2011, appeared as a guest on MSNBC Tuesday to discuss gun control in light of the recent mass shootings.

Speaking on the anniversary of the Tuscon attack, Patricia Maisch lamented that we did not implement stricter gun control laws sooner.

In fact, she said if it were not for the “twenty little martyrs” at Sandy Hook Elementary, we might not even be having the conversation:

“I don’t think we’ve moved forward nationally.  We’re doing our best to move forward.  20 little martyrs in Newtown have had an effect that Christina Taylor Green’s dying on a sidewalk didn’t have, and that Veronica Moser Sullivan dying in a theater didn’t have.

“It’s a shame that we had to get to the 20 little martyrs, that anybody started paying much more than local attention.”

According to Merriam-Webster’s dictionary, a martyr is “a person who voluntarily suffers death as the penalty of witnessing to and refusing to renounce a religion,” or “a person who sacrifices something of great value and especially life itself for the sake of principle.”

    Imagine the uproar if the NRA or the host of conservatives fighting the push to curtail constitutionally protected (natural/ God given) rights said
    ‘these children were martyrs, proving that the insanity of ‘gun free zones’ does not work.’

    the hypocrisy is jaw dropping and the irrelevance of what claims they are making compared to the facts is terrifying.

    The only reason the left gets to act upset about this is because those children were victims of a different kind of murderer who did not use a liberal-approved, Planned “Parenthood”-sanctioned method of killing innocents.

    I knew immediately after it happened the left would be salivating over this tragedy. The same group who kills 50 million babies every year somehow feels faux outrage over the deaths of 20 children. Doesn’t compute.

    Demcrats were actually happy these little children were killed tragically so they could further their sick personal agendas. They could care less about those little lives other than being able to use them to their advantage. I wouldn’t urinate on a Democrat if they were on fire!

      Good morning BIOHAZARD. Have to agree with you on that. Earlier or local talk radio host and a guest were discussing this as well as the strange things that happened through out the day of the Sandy Hook shooting. I had the TV, radio, and computer on all through that day switching back and forth during commercials. So much seemed out of whack with so much of the reporting.

    Why was one of the supposed “20 little martyrs” sitting on President Obama’s lap 2 days after she was supposedly murdered? Here is a Facebook picture of the Parkers. Emilie is all the way on the right (notice the part in her **** and the dress she is wearing):

      These kids were not martyrs. They are little angels that were subjected to a mental illness and a breakdown in our mental health system. Lanza fell through the cracks. I’ve also been doing a lot of reading on this conspiracy and I do not believe our govt would in anyway cause this. I do however believe that loads iPod misinformation by the media is responsible for the confusion. As in the links I posted above, the media was posting loads of misinformation. Let the police do their jobs to investigate the truth. The coroner is bizarre no doubt and I believe he knows more about the truth than the media as well as the police. Lets just call it what it was: a horrific tragedy and let’s learn from it by fixing our society not taking away guns,etc. lets start fixing the family system.

      I believe the death of Sandy Hook Elementary’s 20 young students and 6 faculty demonstrates that a known “gun free zone” allows a gunman to pursue an evil intention with assurance that there will be no lethal resistence.

      If it was realized by Adam Lanzo that designated unidentified trained faculty at Sandy Hook Elementary were authorized to carry a concealed weapon and he could have been brought down with one shot prior to carrying out his mission … would the massacre have been a consideration?

      If the six faculty members had not been denied their constitution right to protect themselves with lethal force if necessary …..
