President Obama Expected to Announce New Treasury Secretary — Is This Him & Is This Really His Signature?

White House chief of staff Jack Lew is President Barack Obama’s expected pick to lead the Treasury Department, with an announcement possible before the end of the week.
White House officials would not confirm that a final decision has been made. But aides did not dispute that Lew is emerging as the consensus choice. Sources familiar with the process say Obama is choosing Lew because of his “wide variety of government and private sector experience.”
Lew previously led the Office of Management and Budget and oversaw international economic issues at the State Department. He has played a key role in numerous financial negotiations between the White House and Capitol Hill.
The sources spoke on the condition of anonymity in order to discuss the expected nomination ahead of the president.
However, although it’s still not official, opposition to President Obama’s likely choice has already begun. First, from CNBC’s Larry Kudlow:
bloomberg.com/news/2013-01-0……. Not personal, but Lew bad choice at Treasury. No financial experience, too far to left,no trust from GOP leaders.
— Larry Kudlow (@larry_kudlow) January 9, 2013
And then there’s this from RedState co-founder Ben Domenech:
Jack Lew is one of the most partisan, most ideological members of the Obama team. Represents escalation of acrimony.
— Ben Domenech (@bdomenech) January 9, 2013
Over at the Media Research Center, Stephen Gutowski reminds us that Lew said in 2011 that ”there is no need to deal with social security” because it is “solidly funded through 2037″:
Of course, as noted earlier on TheBlaze, Social Security is anything but sustainable.
“[T]he Social Security Administration underestimates how long Americans will live and how much the trust funds will need to pay out — to the tune of $800 billion by 2031, more than the current annual defense budget — and that the trust funds will run out, if nothing is done, two years earlier than the government has predicted [emphasis added],” the New York Times reports.
However, if Twitter serves as an accurate cultural zeitgeist, which is debatable, it appears people are more concerned with Lew’s squiggly signature than they are with his political worldview:
Maybe he’s into modern art.RT @ryanlizza Good time to remind people that this is Jack Lew’s signature: twitter.yfrog.com/nuuryjrj

As a bunch of people just pointed out to me, that signature will appear on our currency. Take that, people who think America is in decline!
— Ryan Lizza (@RyanLizza) January 9, 2013
In case you’re wondering what they’re talking about, this is Jack Lew’s actual signature:
And this is what it would look like on U.S. currency:
Yes, that’s really his signature.
Lew’s signature on our bills would give the appearance gov’t is run by children–wouldn’t be all that wrong, I suppose nymag.com/daily/intellig…

Posted on January 9, 2013 at 1:46pmThis is part and parcel for this regime; square pegs into round holes.
This is one of the most destructive traits of a leftist; not understanding their own (and others’) limitations. They have this absurd notion that just because one is “educated”, that makes him qualified for ANY job – and this is a prime example.
Law degree, 8 years as “policy adviser” to Tip O’Neil, director of the Office of Management and Budget from 1998 until 2001, worked for Citigroup and New York University after leaving the Clinton administration – pretty much one of the “types” responsible for the situation American finds itself in. So, he’s the perfect fit for this regime. He can build on his destruction.

Look, Jack Lew replaced Peter Orszag as Director of OMB. Orszag, of course, is now Vice Chairman of Global Banking at Citigroup. Both are Jewish.
When Lew had to leave as OMB Director, in order to become Obama’s Chief of Staff, he was replaced with Jeff Zients, who also Jewish.
I know it takes great insight… not… but, “Does anyone see a pattern?”

Cutting federal jobs reduces the federal deficit and gets the monkey off the backs of the hard working companies out there so they can hire these people to actually do something productive with their lives instead of dragging down the achievers.

It appears they do everything against Israel and are all liberals that destroy morals in the USA through what they spew out of Hollywood. I really don’t think the Europeans Jews want to have anything to do with the real Jews. The American Jew for the majority has no morals, only conducts daily life under the love of money. “The booming economy also will allow the country to pay off the debt by 2009 if it dedicates its entire budget surplus to debt reduction, White House budget director Jack Lew said. “America is on track to becoming debt-free,” Lew said.
“Over that same 10-year period, the surplus for Social Security is expected to grow to $2.5 trillion while the Medicare surplus is expected to grow to $532 billion”, Lew said.

Posted on January 9, 2013 at 11:59amThis is even worse than i thought it could ever be. Lew is the perfect pick for the Fuhrer. This will be the final nail in AmeriKa’s future. The SS Trust fund “balances” are nothing more than a “bookkeeping” device. They do not consist of real economic assets that can be drawn down in the future to fund benefits.
When your FICA tax is taken out of your paycheck, it does not get squirreled away in a lockbox in West Virginia where it’s kept until you retire. Most goes out immediately to pay current retirees, and the rest ( say $100 ) goes to the U.S. Treasury—and is spent. On roads, bridges, national defense, Public Television, whatever—-gone, spent.
In return for that $100, the Treasury sends the SS Administration a piece of paper that says : IOU $100. There are countless such pieces of paper in the lockbox. They are called “special issue” Bonds. Special they are : They are worthless. They are nothing more than “claims on the Treasury” ( ie., promises ) that, when redeemed ( when you retire and are waiting for your check ), will have to be financed by raising Taxes, borrowing from the Public, or reducing benefits or other expenditures.
“The existence of a large trust fund balance, therefore, does not, by itself, have any impact on the Governments ability to pay benefits. The lockbox with the little pieces of paper mean nothing.
Social Secutiry is Doomed and so are we.

Posted on January 9, 2013 at 12:26pm“They” already have it figured out. If you can get by without SS, your one of the rare ones, and fortunate ones. Most people rely heavily on SS, as they have paid into it their entire lives and it makes up most of what they will need to live on. SS was never created as a “retirement” account, BUT, over the decades this Government has allowed it to become just that. This is not OUR fault. This is 100% the Governments fault, especially since they steal from the “Fund” all the time.
I wish i could afford to “not care”.
