Dancing Baby ‘Storms the Stage’ During Dad’s Christian Concert — and Steals the Show in Epic Viral Vid
Christian singer Coffey Anderson was in for a surprise when he performed at a New Year’s Eve concert in Irving, Texas. As he was smack-dab in the middle of a song, his young son “stormed the stage” and began dancing feverishly. The crowd, naturally, loved it.
“I was playing onstage and my little boy who dances when I play guitar at home, got away from the backstage and stormed the stage,” Anderson wrote on his Facebook page. “First he hugged me and then he danced like he was free!”

The young child appears unfazed by the fact that he, too, is performing in front of an audience. The more his father plays the guitar, the more intensely he dances.

I have found that on the Blaze, and other sites, the one topic you will get deleted for, is when you go against Rock and Roll music
Drugs, Sex, and Rock and Roll are lumped together for a reason. All three are tied to Rebellion

Posted on January 10, 2013 at 11:09amVery cute, although I’ve never been to a Christian concert where they sing 70′s 80′s pop music like “Brown-eyed Girl” and the eight-six-seven-five-three-oh-nine song (for a good time call . . . ).
You can’t just live like the world, then put the Lord’s name on it and assume you are saved.

Don’t be getting all legalistic about things just because the building is used for church. It doesn’t make that building any more holy than the next 4 concrete walls. It’s the people inside that make a church, and there is no need to be getting your undies in a wad because they are not singing “Christian” or “Worship” songs inside those walls. It’s not like they are singing “Shout at the Devil” or having some kind of Judas Priest cover band….. sheesh

Posted on January 10, 2013 at 11:40amThat’s a big stretch to assume that he’s living like the world just because you caught a couple of minutes of a concert and have no idea of the context in which he was singing those songs.
Thankfully, it’s not your judgment the man has to worry about.

Posted on January 10, 2013 at 1:03pmYou point is very valid! I thought the very same thing. The world is let into the churches so they can ‘relate’ but in scripture it clearly states that we are to be ‘set-apart’. Confliction and contradiction, typical of the modern day christians.

” if you listen close he is singing “Green-eyed girl””
Does the eye color of the girl really matter?
FYI, the original song was “brown-skinned girl” but our (at that time) anti-anything-but-white radio culture would not give that airplay.

Posted on January 10, 2013 at 11:43amWhat exactly makes music become “church music” anyway? Is it the words? Or is it the heart from which it is sung? Or maybe some combination of both?
Lighten up, people. Don’t add context where you don’t have any.

your question – “is it the heart from which it is sung?”
What did God tell us about our hearts?
Jer 17 9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

Posted on January 11, 2013 at 9:49amRANGER, the Bible says a LOT about the heart. JORART gave one example. Here’s some more:
“The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For out of the overflow of his heart his mouth speaks.” – Luke 6:45
“I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.” – Psalm 119:11
“Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life.” Proverbs 4:23
There are tons more, but the point is that the heart either belongs to God or this world. That would be why it is important to “sing from the heart.”
That being said, you didn’t answer the question. What makes music “church music?”
People are judging this guy when they have NO context for why he was singing that song. There are tons of old hymns that were written with music that sounded “worldly” to appeal to the common man. God judges your heart (which determines your actions). I don’t think he’s mad that Amazing Grace had music that non-churchgoers liked. And I have no idea if God is upset with this guy because I have NO idea why he was singing that song. Neither do you.
“For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.” – Hebrews 4:12

Posted on January 10, 2013 at 11:28am@nicki123…very true. On my part, I haven’t spent money on going to a cinema in so many years I can’t remeber. I finally got satellite tv at my son’s prompting, then discontinued it as soon as the contract was up because of shows like honey boo boo. I laughed out loud at madea, but there are too many exagerated sterotypes even in that. I think I’ll stick to watching my chickens and babies born around the farm. There is nothing more entertaining than a bunch of kids bouncing around and the hens cackling about finding a juicy grub. Even the bull-calves tussling are more fun to watch. But, I could watch this baby dance all day. Beautiful.

Do you come to the blaze for dancing babies, Oscar reports and snow storms in Isreal? I can get that from MSM. As to what I am trying to accomplish, for some reason there is a battle going on between two media outlets that I respect. One of those outlets has been aggressively trying to discredit the other one. So I am just trying to point out that the aggressive outlet spends it’s resources on nonsense while the other focus on important news. Don’t worry though. The Blaze will probably touch on one of the three subjects outlined in the articles I refferenced for you in couple of days.

Posted on January 10, 2013 at 10:34amI’ve got to agree with LordJosh on this one. The Blaze is turning into the equivalent of grocery store trash papers. Where is the important breaking news? At least half of today’s (and yesterday’s and the day’s before that) headlines are either feel-good fluff pieces or local interest stories that have nothing to do with politics or any effect on a national level that would matter. The rest might be important but they are either hack jobs re-posted from the AP or simply bad reporting.
Take the bobcat story from yesterday. That’s a local news story, who cares? Further, they waste another page reporting that the bobcat was rabid. Really?! Like we all didn’t know that simply from the first story? And what is with this story? This is from New Year’s Eve and they are reporting it 10 days later.
I’ve been commenting less and less because I’m visiting less and less. Someday soon, I expect, I’ll simply stop visiting altogether.

Posted on January 11, 2013 at 8:45amMelika – sadly I may have to agree with you. Between the things you mention and the really annoying technical problems with this site, I’m about done with it also. Too bad. I have given up on the Fox News site as edging more left daily, now this. I just wasted a lot of my time reading the insane rants of a religious fanatic fighting with all his might against some decent folks with decent ideas and opinions for what – for nothing but music. I happen to like Christian rock. Guess I’m going to hell.
I really don’t need that or cute baby stories, I guess, with the world and my country falling apart. It just ain’t worth it. Back to the search…

Posted on January 11, 2013 at 5:21pmThat’s fine…if you don’t want to see dancing babies then don’t click on the story that says …dancing baby. A good news outlet is a well rounded outlet. World news, national news, local news, sports, weather, ads (to pay for the above) and, of course the fluff. Without the fluff to fill the holes then all you get are overpaid writers who sit around waiting for something to happen (or make crap up) like MSNBC.
