An Australian man who embarked on a three-year process to change his sex is captivating intrigue and attention after a time-lapse video showcasing his transformation from start to finish has gone viral. Posted on YouTube, the clip, which is just under two minutes in length, includes hundreds of images that collectively illustrate the results of surgery and other mechanisms used to complete the complex process.

“This video is of me going through a 3-year transition,” reads a description of the recording. “I started roughly around when I was 20-21 years of age.”

Originally posted in Oct. 2012, the video has been viewed hundreds of thousands of times and, according to the description, it contains around 1,000 photographs. At the beginning, the individual shown within it (the same person who purportedly uploaded it) is depicted at the start of the process on Dec. 8, 2009.

The Daily Mail describes the clip in detail:
The blur of images that follow track the subtle changes that play out on the man’s face in the months that followed, ending with a striking show of an attractive woman with high cheekbones and bangs from 2012.
A year into the process, the man’s eyebrows were sculpted into two feminine, thin arches, and the shape of his face became more narrow and rounded.
Other drastic changes reflected into the video include the Aussie’s eyes turning more catlike and his full lips taking a girlish shape.
The swarm of photos also show how the face gradually narrows down, with the chin becoming rounded, accompanied by different coiffures and makeup styles.

The final image shown, as the Daily Mail notes, depicts a total transformation. The boy what was viewed in the first image is barely recognizable at the end.

Best case would be having it’s chromosomes altered from XY to XX. But you all can wake me when that becomes possible.

If your a guy and you want to become a woman, that means your into guys which makes you gay. Now if you become a woman that means STRAIGHT guys would be interested. That is until they find out your a dude in which they will leave because they are not gay. Which means only gay guys would be interested in you. Except, now you look like a woman. Now gay guys won’t be interested, would they?

If he was a guy, and dated guys, you’d condemn him He looked so sad in the first few pics. He obviously had a problem. I agree, he should have fixed it with therapy, but at least he went that step and had the surgery instead of just living like a woman. Now you condemn him for having the surgery. I would rather them get a sex change than be ho mo se xual.

Their brains, and minds however from day 1, function as a female’s. When they begin to develop, they begin to notice that something isn’t right with them- that they aren’t like the other boys, or girls. Nobody wakes up one morning and decides they want to change their sex. The process is EXTREMELY expensive, and painful. Some do not go through with it.

Now he/she can worry about all the issues women have to deal with. Your going to need far more then just girl parts to feel good about yourself. Not many women feel good about themselves. Just don’t sue the doctors after, for what you wanted them to do!

because it is impossible to change your sex. it can’t happen through defect. it can’t be change by trauma. nor can a persons sex be changed on purpose. no matter how much makeup you ware or how many quack doctors you get to mutilate your body or inject hormones into your vanes. all you’ll ever be is a sad case of a deranged person that has savaged his or her bodies.

A month later, he was back at the medical board, crying to be hanged back into a man. He said life as a woman was hell. There was no freedom, and he was constantly harassed by men who considered that a transsexual was a gift from God.
