‘Wilkow!’: Is Obama Taking Aim at the Second Amendment?

The National Rifle Association did not leave happy after their meeting with Vice President Joe Biden Thursday. Biden met with the NRA as part of the White House task force on gun violence he is leading in wake of the massacare shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut last month.

“We were disappointed with how little this meeting had to do with keeping our children safe and how much it had to do with an agenda to attack the Second Amendment,” the NRA said in a statement on the meeting with task force put in place by President Obama. “While claiming that no policy proposals would be ‘prejudged,’ this Task Force spent most of its time on proposed restrictions on lawful firearms owners – honest, taxpaying, hardworking Americans. ”

Tom Fitton, President of Judicial Watch, joined ‘Wilkow!’ Thursday to discuss the Second Amendment, the president’s power with executive order, and the NRA’s meeting with Biden. Watch a clip from the show below:

Keith Ratliff murdered, as well as another gun designer (John Noveske) killed in a highly suspicious car crash in the same week. There are more killings with a baseball bat than there ever was, is, or will be with a gun. It is not the gun but the person. So when are baseball bats going to no longer be legal to own? Will this mean Professional Baseball Payers will no longer be able to play with Baseball Bats?

There is already a law on the books forbidding any gun control laws. The gun control crowd didn’t do their homework. Lots of sound and fury signifying nothing.

And, the only place I’ve heard or read about a modern day civil war is in the Blaze and on other wack-job sites. If that happens, it will be started by you and your ilk for no reason other than that you truly desire a war against our government. Bidens group of Leftists in these so-called talks have a predetermined outcome. The goal is to do as much damage to the 2nd Amend. as possible, not save lives. Obama and his cabinet all have a long history of anti 2nd Amend. sentiment. The Constitution itself has been repeatedly ignored or undermined and is under attack from all sides. Too few Americans recognize the danger our remaining Freedoms are in or are willing to surrender them for a sence of security. It’s NOT our guns they wish to TAKE, it is our FREEDOM that our guns represent.

This should not surprise anyone, as he stated over a decade ago that he viewed the Constitution as a series of ‘negative liberties.’ He wants the government to take care of us, as he thinks we are too stupid (he’d never admit that he thinks that, but he must!) to make our own decisions. It is all about control!

This should come as no surprise to anyone who knows what he said over a decade ago, about our Constitution being a series of ‘negative liberties.’ Pro-Second Amendment representatives are not making the right arguments. The Second Amendment does not exist to guarantee Americans can hunt. It exists to protect us from a regime like we seem to have now. Too many people are still asleep. We’re in trouble.

The second amendment is an individual right that the executive branch may curtail. What is the nature of a man to take such power? Such power is temporal. The right of self-defense comes from a higher power, our creator. Seems we have another Henry the Eighth on our hands.

Seems some men, hold life cheap, with their kill-lists and all, and with their dead red insistence on denying average americans from meaningul self-defense from non-law-abiding citizens who still carry and will still carry auto and semi- auto weapons no matter the ban. I will know if the President holds our lives cheaper than his, and that of his family, if he provides an exemption for himself and his family, that is, they will still be protected with semi- or auto matic weapons that we are banned from having.

But exactly how does the math work on this? How is his life, and his family’s life, worth more than mine and that of my family? I would like to see the math. I would like to see the equation. How is his life worth more than mine. More private individuals are killed than public officials by semi and automatic weapons, so to exempt public officials and to deprive private individual is patently absurd.

There is no talk of securing the border. What exactly will a ban do then? A ban is a paper tiger. They are obviously confused. I must conclude they are morons.

According to the FBI, so-called “assault weapons” are used in only 2% of gun crimes, and in less than 1% of murders, despite the AR-15 being the most commonly owned rifle in the US.

FBI estimates are that 60-90% of all gun murders are a result of the illegal drug trade.

The Department of Justice says that 56% of all murderers had a prior conviction for a violent felony when they killed.

So, if Obama’s campaign was about reducing gun violence or saving lives, they’d be discussing ending the war on drugs and passing a national 2-strikes law for violent felonies. Those two alone, according to their own best data, would, at a minimum, reduce gun murders in the US by 65-75%.

Instead, they want to ban the legal ownership of a type of gun used in less than 1% of killings in the US, which will have no effect at all on gun violence or violent crime in general.

So, you tell me, is Obama trying to save lives by the most reasonable and effective means at his disposal, or is he just exploiting tragedy, fear, and ignorance in order to pass his wishlist of anti-gun legislation?

I predict there will more than just a ban on assault weapons— he will go for the whole enchilada and confiscate all weapons knowing it will lead to insurrection. The TSA will then move in and do whatever they want……
