CEO James Yeager Has Handgun Permit Suspended After Threatening to Start Killing People

The Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security has suspended the handgun carry permit of James Yeager, CEO of Tactical Response, a firearms and tactical training company, who recently said he would “start killing people” if the Obama administration attempted to enact gun control through executive action.

In a statement released on Friday, state officials said they suspended Yeager’s permit based on “material likelihood of risk of harm to the public,” WTVF-TV reports.

The video of Yeager furiously denouncing the Obama administration and threatening violent action over gun control went viral on Thursday.

“The number one priority for our department is to ensure the public’s safety,” Commissioner Bill Gibbons wrote in a statement. “Mr. Yeager’s comments were irresponsible, dangerous, and deserved our immediate attention. Due to our concern, as well as that of law enforcement, his handgun permit was suspended immediately. We have notified Mr. Yeager about the suspension today via e-mail. He will receive an official notification of his suspension through the mail.”

The controversial clip was purportedly published on his YouTube and Facebook pages on Jan. 9, but according to Raw Story, it was later removed and replaced with a tamed-down version.

In the original video, he started by admitting that he’s “kind of mad.” Then, he launched into a diatribe about Vice President Joe Biden’s recent claim that President Barack Obama may rely upon executive orders to tackle the issue.

“Vice President Biden is asking the president to bypass Congress and use executive privilege, executive order to ban assault rifles and to impose stricter gun control,” said Yeager. “F**k that.”

Yeager’s company, Tactical Response, has several certifications with various weapons. However, Officials with the Tennessee

Department of Safety and Homeland Security claimed Yeager was not a certified instructor with their agency.

The only way Yeager can get his handgun permit back is to ask for a review of the department’s decision in the general sessions court, according WTVF-TV.

So this guy posits an IF/THEN statement stating that if the government attempts to seize firearms he’ll resist with deadly force. The government essentially destroys his business by having the jackbooted Homeland Security thugs revoke his permit. And people on the Blaze say he was a dummy. Seem to be a lot of sunshine patriots here at the Blaze. To paraphrase Judge Andrew Napolitano, “guns aren’t for shooting deer. They’re for shooting tyrants.” If you stand by while citizens are punished by the government for speaking this truth then you don’t deserve the liberties you now enjoy. If you say the guy was stupid to speak the truth you are not fit to protect this great nation. War is coming. Tyrants are trying to gain total power. And some of you are already willing slaves. Disgusting.

I don’t think you need to apologize. Remember all those tweets the idiots on the left tweeted about killing all of us with guns and that all the members of the NRA and GOA and their kids should die?!?! Funny how its OK for the left leaning folks can say what they want without repercussion. Yet when we retaliate were vilified. Hypocrites all of them. And as far as fair weather patriots, well either man up or step aside the real adults have work to do!!!

  That’s great. Just don’t go make a youtube flick and express your feelings while frothing at the mouth in anger – makes you look wild eyed crazy and worthy of “special” attention. Yes, you have the rights of free speech and gun ownership – both of these rights come with responsibility and the law assumes you’re sane until you prove otherwise.

The sentiment is understandable, but the threat element can’t be a good thing…..

Like a couple people here said, it’s one thing to agree on a plan like this amongst your intimates, and another altogether to publicly agitate.

Agitation to violence is a trap into which the Marxist Communist Nazis would love Constitutionalists to fall.

It’s just one reason I have finally fallen down on the “nay” side of Alex Jones that he is a plant, and his recent rant was meant to rile up gun owners into statements such as this in order to criminalize and vilify the armed passivists among us.

(What’s with the screaming and waving of the stumpy little forearms?? Hint: Conservatives don’t act that way….)

You know, like make your plan, whatever it is, but don’t issue threats that will come back to harm.

At all costs, we CANNOT give them anything to use against us, nor a reason to declare martial law, or the game is over, for good.

Well the Federal government is already trampling on the 1st and 2nd amendments next will be the 3rd. Expect Obama to house soldiers in our homes to make sure we comply with all the new regulations.

Being outraged in the puplic eye takes a bit of deplomacy……we are all upset, for the past 4 years and for the next four years……Obama is a communist and all those around him, people who are a bit behind on news and facts need to experience this communist rule for awhile, its done…we have lost washington…and we are going to lose allot more…..but thats the way things go in the world of the free people….we will fight back and we will win……its going to take another 4 years and lots of changes in Washington and for people to lose freedoms before they realize what is going on.

Be very careful for the government is watching every thing that is said and written on all blogs, they are looking for reasons to pull permits and confiscate guns.

It is exactly this type of thing that worries me with what the gov’t has enacted in the NDAA. Yes, he lost it. Yes, he should’ve known better than to post it on the internet. Yes, he should’ve chosen his words better. But, with the indefinite detention clause, things like these can get you locked up with no lawyer and deemed a terrorist. With the warrantless wire tapping they can listen and read what you say without permission. IT IS the elites that make the rules and IT IS the elites that garner our anger. All they have to do is label you. Both acts violate constitutional writings

He brought this on himself. There is a difference in venting to a friend who knows you personally and making a proclamation by posting a video on the Internet for everyone to see. It was a really stupid statement to make. He threatened the general public in anger by saying “I’m going to start killing people”. What people? Who?

I think they should investigate all the idiots who threatened to murder NRA members on Twitter too.

I keep hearing about rights, without a word about responsibility. This person was derelict in his responsibility. As for those that claim a right cannot be taken away, you are incorrect. Many felons cannot have a gun. This person proposed committing a felony before he had even been affronted.

Would you walk in to a biker bar, and threaten to kick the ass of the first man that made a move on you? Good luck with that.

Let this serve as an example as to how the left will approach enforcement of their illegal gun grab—-One At A Time. They will if fact poke you in the chest until you react, but the reality is that there is a better way; Organize, Organize, Organize a New Political party that encompasses the things we agree on and not marginal issues such as; gay rights, abortion, and gun deaths….That’s why the two party system is out of control. We need a Constitution Restoration Party to form immediately, and as bad as this sounds we have to let the government come after the weapons first. Additionally we should have done something a long time ago when they were walking all over the other Constitutional Rights, Many years ago!

Yet they let all the libs on TV spew how they should or would kill someone on the Right they do not agree with. Yeager said his stuff in front of a camera just like the libs do, what’s the difference. Yeager has a right to exercise his Constitutional liberties. This is true profiling. If obama enacts laws to grab guns from free Americans is the Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security going to do it’s sworn duty and up hold and defend the constitution??? Is it going to defend the 2nd Amendment?

The government is getting more tyrannical.

Gee, weird…..

I don’t recall the government taking any action against the black panthers when they repeatedly threatened to “come to our neighbourhoods and shoot our pink asses”.

And, maybe it is just my poor memory….but I don’t recall hearing about any legal action against those who stated “all NRA members should be shot”, or this who stated “NRA CEO should be dragged behind a Chevy”.

Nor do I recall hearing a peep out of anyone when a certain blogger stated “pulling their guns from their cold dead hands sounds good to me”. And still not a permit suspension, or an arrest, or even a questioning from this who publicly stated all NRA members should be shot.

Weird……no, just sad,..

James Yeager is a patriot and the “Tennessee Department of Safety and Massive Central Control” does not have the authority to grant or take a license to carry a pistol. That right comes from God. This is exactly what James has been talking about in his videos. Our natural rights have been eroded to far. We have accepted to much infringement. A “DEPARTMENT OF SAFETY” (what a joke) can’t suspend a mans natural god given rights!? THEY HAVE NO AUTHORITY TO DO THAT!

Not one more inch! I stand with Yeager.
