Glenn Beck Is Really Fed Up With ESPN Over Musburger Apology

During his radio show on Friday, Glenn Beck blasted the execs over at ESPN for issuing a swift apology for Brent Musburger’s comments about how pretty Alabama beauty queen Katherine Webb is — comments that Webb herself said were flattering.

Musburger’s remarks came during the second half of the BCS Championship game between Alabama and Notre Dame, a blow-out by that point with Alabama leading 42-7. Webb is, of course, the girlfriend of Alabama quarterback A.J. McCarron.

“Has everyone at ESPN been castrated?” Beck said. “Seriously, I think they are all eunuchs that are running ESPN. It’s like, ‘Oh, you wanna run ESPN? OK, drop your drawers, I’m gonna cut your balls off.”

“Nicely put,” Beck’s co-host and executive producer Stu Burguiere joked.

“Excuse me. I’m sorry, but is that not true? Who are these people? They have no spine,” Beck added. “I mean who at ESPN is offended by what Brent Musburger said…I don’t know how you could be offended by this.”

Just in case you haven’t heard his comments, this is what Musburger said about Webb during the game;

“When you are a quarterback at Alabama, do you see that lovely lady there? She does go to Auburn…but she is also Miss Alabama and that’s A.J. McCarron’s girlfriend, OK,” he said. “I’m telling you, you quarterbacks, you get all the good looking women. I mean, what a beautiful woman. Woah!”

“So, if you are a youngster in Alabama, start getting the football out and throw it around the backyard with pop,” he added.

Are you offended? Neither was Miss Alabama.

“I think the media has been really unfair to (Musburger). I think if he had said something along the line if we were hot or sexy, I think that would be a little bit different,” Webb said earlier this week on “Today” with Matt Lauer.
