S.E. Cupp Goes Off on Eric Holder for Wanting to Shame Gun Owners: ‘It Makes My Blood Boil’

Attorney General Eric Holder made headlines this week after it was discovered that he once said gun owners should be “shamed” into giving up their firearms.

And TheBlaze’s S.E. Cupp was not impressed with his remarks.

“I cannot tell you how offended I am to hear Eric Holder, or anyone, talking about shaming gun owners,” Cupp said during a Thursday broadcast of “Real News” on Blaze TV. “I feel it inside. It makes my blood boil, because it so fundamentally misunderstands the Second Amendment.”

“The idea that he would paint me with the same brush as some criminal that he’s talking about is so offensive, but that is so common because most people who talk about gun control don’t distinguish,” she added.

“They are making law abiding gun owners defend their rights, which are already on the books.”

Her comments came after remarks made by The Blaze’s National Security editor Buck Sexton and conservative columnist Will Cain.

“It’s worth understanding what the other side wants here,” said Sexton. “At some point, they want to change the way people think about guns. That may take time. That may be a process. But the end of that process is not having people have guns.”

I will NEVER be ashamed to own a gun…I have never committed a crime with or with out using my gun..What would be shameful is if someone were trying to harm my family and I had no way to protect them…All the Lefties are all against guns and the right to own them…Until they get in a situation where they would be in danger then it’s a different story….I am not nor will I ever be ASHAMED to have the means to protect my family or myself…NEVER

Yes, we have freedom of speech,press, religion and so on. And those RIGHTS are locked and secured BY the RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS against those that would desire to take the others away, wheather they are foreign OR DOMESTIC! In other words the 2nd amendment is the insurance policy to cover the others. People defend their rights with arms every day against others trying to take them away. Home invasion, robbery, assault and so on. These are micro battles that very few hear or care about. But things can escalate to a much larger scale hence small conflicts up to world wars. It’s unfortunate that we have to put so many resources into defense. But it’s a fact of life. OK it’s modern times. But that does not mean the threat has vanished or we’re more evolved. It hasn’t and we’re not. There ARE folks out there just as power hungry as there always have been. I’m sure that ever since the founding fathers died, that people in power have been tempted to have their way, but…… The Constitution got in the way. Yeah, it’s a piece of paper. That’s backed up in steel. It has been so long since the U.S. has actually had a threat or domestic conflict that most people have been put to sleep and think that we’re perfectly safe. That’s the time to strike. When we’re fat and lazy and complacent. To any Sheeple that may read this. The wolves are still out there. Give up your rights if you will. But one thing is for sure. Once done, you’ll NEVER get them back.

All I have to say is that Mom in Georgia did the right thing when she shot the intruder. All this talk about locking your guns up – what good is that when you need one. I applaud her and I would do the same thing. When my husband is gone overnght which is very rare, I sleep with a gun under my pillow.

The spectacle of Eric Holder the “who’s your daddy” of Fast & Furious and responsible for walking thousands of “assault rifles” across the border into the hands of the Mexican drug cartels, where they have been used to kill hundreds of Mexican citizens as well as several U.S. Border Patrol agents, is mind-bending. And these are the very same weapons models that the Obama Administration wants to make illegal for American citizens to own? Is it O.K. then for illegal aliens working for the drug cartels to have them here in the ‘States then?

Not quite S.E. The “right” to bear arms is unalienable. The constitution protects the rights that we already had without it. What’s on the books is the interdiction of the government to infringe that right.

I agree, it is outrageous that these gun-control nuts are blaming the law abiding citizens for this monstrous act. Neither we nor the NRA are responsible in any way for the acts of a crazed young man. The NEA and the ACLU are far more responsible for un-educating our youth and eradicating morals from our culture. Damn you liberals for your utopian dream that always ends in murder.

They can’t find the guns in Fast and Furious and their going to try and to disarm the American people from protecting themselves from the same people the Goverment gave guns to. Note all the countries we gave arms too- Libya, Egypt, Syria and it goes on. Who do you think they are going to target when they are finished doing whatever the *uck they do over there? Our boarders will be wide open for all to come, and boy will they.
Anybody who turns their gun in for cash is a Fool. If I were Obama I wouldn’t be saying or doing anything that relates to Lincoln and then be telling the American people we want your guns. Obviously he knows no history, because those of us that do, know exactly how Lincoln met his end.
