‘I’m Going to Start Killing People!’: Tactical Response CEO Loses It Over Gun Control in Viral YouTube Vid

UPDATE: James Yeager, CEO of Tactical Response, has had his handgun carry permit suspended by the Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security. Read more.

James Yeager, CEO of Tactical Response, a firearms and tactical training company, is catching heat after he posted a fiery video about gun control. In it, he decried the Obama administration’s efforts to crack down on weapons and made a shocking proclamation about efforts to curb firearms, pledging, “If it goes one inch further, I’m going to start killing people.”

The controversial clip was purportedly published on his YouTube and Facebook pages on Jan. 9, but according to Raw Story, it was later removed and replaced with a tamed-down version.

In the original video, he started by admitting that he’s “kind of mad.” Then, he launched into a diatribe about Vice President Joe Biden’s recent claim that President Barack Obama may rely upon executive orders to tackle the issue.

“Vice President Biden is asking the president to bypass Congress and use executive privilege, executive order to ban assault rifles and to impose stricter gun control,” said Yeager. “F**k that.”

And he wasn’t done there. The Tactical Response leader said that such actions on behalf of the Obama administration would “spark a civil war” and that he would be “glad to fire the first shot.”

“I’m not putting up with it. You shouldn’t put up with it,” he continued. “And I need all you patriots to start thinking about what you’re going to do, load your damn mags, make sure your rifle’s clean, pack a backpack with some food in it and get ready to fight.”

From there, his comments only intensified. After pledging that he wouldn’t put up with increased gun control initiatives being advocated by the federal government of late, Yeager pledged — to the extreme – to defend his right to firearms.

“I’m not letting my country be ruled by a dictator. I’m not letting anybody take my guns!,” he added. “If it goes one inch further, I’m going to start killing people.”

Despite being removed and replaced with an edited version, some YouTube users are still sharing the original video file. You can watch it, below (caution: language):

Currently, on Yeagar’s YouTube page, the following version of the video remains. In it, the comment about “killing people” is removed (caution: language):

In a separate clip published on Thursday, Yeager addressed the controversy caused by the initial commentary. He said that he was mad and that he probably allowed his mouth “to overrun” his “logic.” However, he, at moments, appeared somewhat unapologetic.

“I don’t retract any of my statements,” he said, doubling down on his original video.

From there, he launched into a tirade against individuals who are criticizing him, while noting that he doesn’t “condone anybody doing anything rash” at this juncture. He also demanded that those who nabbed his original clip and re-uploaded it to YouTube, remove the video, as he claims it is his property.

In CONTROL, Glenn Beck presents a passionate, fact-based case for guns that reveals why gun control isn’t really about controlling guns at all; it’s about controlling us. Find out more HERE.

Well, what would you expect? Us law abiding firearms owners are being told that we will probably wind up, soon, labeled as criminals. We’ve gone through our lives keeping our noses clean only to be dictated to by people who can’t balance a budget, won’t enforce laws already on the books, & won’t keep the criminal elements they already have locked away.

    @VRW
I am not convinced that playing a lot of first-person shooter video games can really provide significant knowledge or skill in the use of firearms.

I have played a lot of first-person shooters in my life. However, when I went to a shooting range and used firearms for the first time, I had to be shown how to use them by my father and brother. The games had taught me nothing about how to actually operate these weapons. And then, when I fired at targets on the range, my accuracy was far worse than my accuracy in the games – especially with my brother’s 9mm.

I would also submit that the many unrealistic elements of most FPS games does not teach good tactics. But that would vary by game, I would admit.

I agree there may be more “ruby ridge” type incidents. But at the original ruby ridge, people only showed up with protest signs. If it happens now, I see a dozen pickups pull up with protester carrying guns, not signs.

think strategically and not tacticall and we can avoid violence and shed light on the corruption that has taken hold of our government and our monetary system. The left would love to portray us as gun wielding nut jobs. The goal should be the prosecution of ALL of those that have committed TREASON by subverting the laws and rights of the people set forth in the constitution. Whether they be in the government, the media or the military. Don’t think that the government is not prepared for civil uprisings. Military exercises began in the 1950′s and much of our present lack of civil rights and privacy can be attributed to a military exercise from the 1980′s called REX 84. That exercise showed the military that they must be allowed to operate without Constitutional restraint and it brought us entities like FEMA which operate in times of emergency without congressional oversight. Bolstered by NDAA, your rights and possessions can be seized with little chance for so much as a day in court. They can detain you for mere suspicion. As far as fighting for your freedoms, I submit that that ship may have already sailed. It may be time to consider leaving the country-like many did at when they recognized the rise of fascism in their own countries-like germany, italy, Russia, China, Korea, Cambodia…. Governments are directly responsible for the murders of more than 150 million people in the 20th century. And if you think it cant happen here, your deluded.

On a tangent thought. Why would there be another school shooting the same day Biden has meetings on the subject? If there were more crimes of this nature to stoke more agressive gun control in the near future it would not surprise me. Criminals will be criminals regardless what laws there are, and if they’re thinking collectively it’s to their benefit because only the law abiding will follow the new restrictions that place them at a disadvantage.

Well although his wording may have been too strong and the random statement of “start killing people” not wise I understand his aggravation. I have been stating this for sometime and had said years ago that we would come to the point where someone in government would start going around people houses and taking their guns. Once this starts they will come up to someones home that refuses, shots will be exchanged and a new civil war will begin. I encourage everyone to think about this and tell your representatives that to treat law abiding citizens as criminal and limiting their gun ownership any further is not the answer, it will only create more problems. You must also, like the person in this video said, think about what you are willing to do when faced with this type of action and be prepared. There are many people out there “former military” that have taken an oath to uphold and protect the constitution of the United States, including myself, who take this oath very seriously. None of these people want civil war or any conflict between the people of our country but the politicians in this country have allowed and taken part in moving this government toward a dictatorship. I keep praying for God intervention in the insanity that is taking place in our country and only hope that others in this country will stand with the constitution before it is too late.

I believe it with video games. I have been an avid video gamer, particularly shooting games, which I have always been good that. I joined the Army and had always shot expert rifleman. I was my squad’s designated marksman for most of my time overseas.

My hand-eye coordination is top notch.

Spank asks a great question, I am sure a lot of people on here think they will but you don’t really know until they show up at your door. If Obama executive orders this thing I foresee a lot of Ruby Ridge situations popping up. I am not a conspiracy theorist at all, but if you don’t have a bug out plan now may be the time to figure one out. Talk to neighbors, friends, like minded individuals. Hopefully you can all find an area off the beaten path to gather and protect your arms. You do not want to be home alone when they show up for your guns.

Then what? Do we assemble and army thats armed with weed wackers and kitchen supplies.I don’t have the answers. I just keep praying that God gives me the wisdom to do what’s right, and the courage to follow through. I will not comply!

Yeager is a bad a**. His videos are straight to the point and helpful. I think there’s merit to the “cooler heads will prevail” stance, but there is (or will be) a breaking point. Our founders kept cool for many years before “the shot heard around the world” sounded. Remember folks: it wasn’t the sound of the rifle that was heard, it was the stand against oppression that resonated.

It’s understandable that people in the gun industry claim Chuck should tone it down. Still, he’s passionate and has conviction. I wonder how many in the industry only have conviction in as much as it guarantees a sale? Maybe it’s to buy time to organize?

Bottom line for me: if you know Chuck by his videos, he’s challenging us to not be cowards and understand what the 2nd Ammendment means in REALITY.

After reviewing the Constitution I can find no authority given the executive that would allow him to issue an order that would restrict the activities of individual citizens.

In other words he can’t tell me what to do! If he does not only is it illegal but it is the death of the republic if WE let it stand.

Our Dear Leaders actions have exposed the thin layer between law and lawlessness in many a persons heart. Making proclamations of anykind such as this is not tactical…its stupid and shows poorest of judgment. You can’t warn the government with violence thinking if you put fear into them, they’ll back down. If anything, this man will be taken into custody to cool off, his guns seized by ATF and if and when they release him, he will be watched.
