NRA Blasts ‘Elitist’, ‘Hypocrite’ Obama in Scathing New Video

New NRA Video Blasts Elitist, Hypocrite Obama Over His Opposition to Armed Guards in Schools

(NRA)

The National Rifle Association on Tuesday provided TheBlaze an exclusive look at its new video, which criticizes President Barack Obama’s opposition to having armed guards in more schools across the United States. The gun rights organization refers to the commander-in-chief as a “hypocrite” and an “elitist” in the scathing production.

Noting that Obama’s children are protected by armed guards at their school, the video asks: “Are the president’s kids more important than yours?”

“Mr. Obama demands the wealthy pay their fair share of taxes, but he’s just another elitist hypocrite when it comes to a fair share of security,” the video adds.

“Protection for their kids and gun free zones for ours,” the video concludes.

Watch the video, provided exclusively to TheBlaze by the NRA,  below:

An NRA spokesperson told TheBlaze via email that the organization will also release a series of videos in addition to the one above following a statement later today. Visit NRAStandAndFight.com for more information.

In CONTROL, Glenn Beck presents a passionate, fact-based case for guns that reveals why gun control isn’t really about controlling guns at all; it’s about controlling us. Find out more HERE.

I also find it hard to understand how people see Odumba as anything good. I do not see him as a leader in any way. And no I didn’t vote for him. If armed guards are good for his kids it’s even better for mine. We have let our ELECTED leaders get a little too big for their britches.

I will be contacting my reps. and let them know that their action on these issues will reflect in my voting. Only when we decide to band together and quit letting them push us around will anything change.

It is outright hypocrisy when you consider the current attempt by the Obama Administration to disarm and leave Americans defenceless through gun control legislation while at the same time when it comes to themselves the Democrat elite reconized that gun control may not be a deterrent to those bent on a mission of wrongdoing.

Wow. The NRA leadership – as opposed to NRA membership – is following the Tea Party example of appealing to their hard core members, from the ignorant to the slightly crazy to the batshoot nuts, instead of appealing to average Americans.

First you have your NRA spokesman, Wayne LaPierre, angrily trying to explain how guns have nothing to do with gun crime. Then you have the NRA introducing a new iPhone app that simulates killing vaguely human like targets. Awesome. And they say how much they don’t want the mentally ill or criminals to have guns, and at the same time oppose letting private vendors sell gun privately or through gun shows sell to whomever has the cash (which is, I believe, 40% of gun sales).

And now? The NRA is saying it’s hypocritical for a President to have Secret Service protection and yet, like most NRA members be in favor of gun control (http://www.drudge.com/news/163943/poll-most-nra-members-support-gun-control). Hey that is from Drudge!

Presidents have had Secret Service protection since 1901 after McKinley was assassinated. Leaders of countries are high value targets for Iranians or other terrorists or other crazy people. So what’s the point? Any President who is in favor of gun control should not be protected from assassins? That’s hypocritical? Presidents who favor gun control shouldn’t be protected from assassination?

@SendTheMeteors You missed all marks and points. It’s hypocritical because these are the same people who are out trying to portray guns as inherently evil and objects made just for murder and disaster, yet these are the same objects they employ in the hands of people to use as weapons to protect their life and property. They’re hypocrites. In CT, school children and school staff members were slaughtered because they were literally left defenseless. They waited for the police to arrive while a maniac was on the loose and all they had at their disposal were textbooks and their bare hands to defend themselves, while the police upon arriving at school (twenty minutes after the carnage) had ‘evil’ guns, a backup team, a squat team, armor, and other means to protect themselves against the same maniac on the loose. Days following, this same school, and surrounding schools, had armed police officers present in order to protect the school from future vile incidents, while the leftist media on the same day was out calling Conservatives “crazy” who desired to have their local schools offered the some form of security. What’s wrong with at least one trained, certified and licensed principle or certain chosen teacher as a backup for such emergencies? Not only is it hypocritical but absolutely deceptive. The leftist media, it seems, is only in business to viciously malign law abiding citizens who oppose their radical stupid agenda.

@ Raging an all like minded…
Please keep your heads on. I served our country for many years. I love our constitution. We all need to stand up for it, however… Who are you ready to fight against? The unarmed? The innocent? Your local police? The military? There is no clear defined enemy, there is no Mason-Dixon line. The best you could hope for with a show of force is a Waco, or a Ruby ridge, what a waste.

If the government could muster enough agents (which I think is statistically impossible) to go ferreting out who has guns, what would come of it? We all say Moan Labe, but… really? Do you think they would come to your house without a warrant? Without sufficient fire power? Do you think they would come in the daytime and just go door to door so you can be ready? Or do you think that they might strike at night, or early morning while you’re in the shower (they can check the water meter you know). They would be there with warrant in hand, ready to defend themselves from hostiles. Then what? Would you really place your family at risk (does not apply to you Ted Kaczynski types)? Will you go scrambling for a weapon to open fire yelling Moan Labe, just to make a statement? Let’s be realistic.

Look, I fully support the 2nd amendment. I support the constitution in its entirety. This country is full of people who don’t, but (unfortunately) they are still our family (misguided, but family). No more should you fire upon your own uncle Waldo who is 180 degrees out from what you believe, than you should your ignorant neighbor who is anti gun. If the country were to get sucked into a “revolution,” you will be pit against other Americans who go to church with you, or work with you, your neighbors, even your friends.

I find it funny when the majority of people that advocate for a violent solution (this might not be your case) have never been in a battle, let alone watched someone die. It is not something that should be taken lightly by any means. Violence should always be the absolute LAST resort. Please support the NRA, support any and all peaceful solutions. I know that there are so many of us that just feel exhausted and even betrayed by so many, but all is not lost. We still have means (peaceful means) to have our voices heard. Please don’t lose your way.

I think the saying goes, it’s better to have people think you are an idiot, than type your comment, and remove all doubt. We have armed guards in every downtown building in our city to protect businessmen and women, bankers, customers, Lawyers, Politicians. Why are they there? to protect them from the rare lunatic that wanders into those buildings. We send our kids to school, and do not afford them the same security. You obviously soak up the Left-wing propaganda like it is Gospel. Obama’s kids deserve extra security because of the increased risk. That does not mean that our children do not deserve the same consideration albeit not to the extent the President’s children do. People like you are actually the ones that are endangering our kids. Don’t you like children? In 1928, 38 Elementary school kids were blown up by dynamite. Banning guns will not stop the insane. Killing them first with adequate protection will.

      @Blueman-
You are obviously ignorant. Please define rapid fire weapons. Do you really mean to insinuate that a revolver made in the late 1800′s could not be “rapidly” fired? I beg to differ on that. I have seen many a cowboy gun show with people who can out shoot me (in both speed and accuracy) with their old Navy and cowboy model revolvers compared to my newest technology weapons (even my military issued ones).

Ignorant people like you love to throw around words like “rapid fire,” high capacity, automatic, or ASSAULT weapons, without knowing what you are really saying. Rapid fire is synonymous with automatic, neither of which is legally sold in open market today. There are some (some) exceptions to the rule but not the norm. High capacity? What’s that? Who gets to define it? I consider High capacity to be the 100 round capacity mags, you may think 5 to be too many. Again I am willing to bet that If I had nothing but 10 round mags, I could out shoot the average person shooting 10 round mags. Assault weapon… really? I think a knife, bat, maybe a fist are assault weapons. Please show me any statistic from any reference (not made up by you) that shows more people were assaulted by guns than any of the other means listed. Okay you got me I used a play on words (sorry you all are better at that then me). Just because a gun is black, or has a plastic stock doesn’t make it more deadly. I would put my Marlin lever action 444 up against an “Assault” rifle as defined

We must defend the 2nd Amendment. It is the only means of protection for the “average citizen” inside our domestic borders, in our communities, on our farms, in our schools, in our homes.
The mentally insane, the criminals, the drug cartels, the gangs and even an out-of-control Federal government are nothing more than domestic threats. The citizens must be armed against these threats if ‘life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness’ have any hope of being sustained.
Tell me Mr. President – How will you protect my family or me when the criminals beat down my door? Will you pass Obama-Death-Care to pay for the carnage? Will you raise my taxes to make sure all those who are murdered get a proper public burial? Will you give up your security protection to demonstrate your commitment to getting rid of guns? Will you demand that your children attend a school that has no security, no guards, and no guns? Mr. President, you are a hypocrite, a charlatan and a phony. A crazy person can go to a gas pump, with a 5 gallon gas can, and fill it with 2 gallons of gasoline, and make an explosive that would probably kill and/or injure severely, anyone within 50-100 feet.

@NAVYDOC The problem with the “clearly defined enemy” lets say like the Japanese during Pearl Harbor..is not so clearly defined..You might want to read “Rules for Radicals” by Saul Alinsky..The enemy in this case..is from within..and it is a European entity..You also might want to study up on the un Federal Reserve..the Trilateral Commission…Council on Foreign Relations and the Communist Secret Societies like the Bilderbergs..the Bonesmen, the Bohemians..and the Freemasons..and the ones who were aligned with Hitler like the Thule and Vrile..We have Communism at our door..in high places..You might also want to research how the Rothschilds got their bank here..how they have started and funded all wars..and Agenda 21 which they have been in the process of implementing..they plan to take planet earth down to 500 million people living in small cities to
serve the hierachy.. The criminal banksters bankrupted us in 1868..have run the US as a corporation since..I understand Valerie Jarret. on Pat Dollard.com.(I believe born in Iran..the pres.’s brain) said the sellout of the US presidency to Arabs began in 1979..Well defined enemy?

It’s not just Obama. Almost all Washington DC politicians who have school age children send them to schools with armed guards. In Chicago when it was illegal for anyone to own a pistol, the City Counsel not only exempted themselves but were also allowed to carry them concealed. How about when politicians pass these laws the very first people who are affected are them or their security details. Let them first disarm themselves.

The wealthy folks kids are the future presidents, Congressman and CEO’s that will run the country. With all the laid off people there are to many peon workers now so we won’t miss your kids if some crazy guy steals a gun and comes in & shoots a bunch of the future workers. Thers to many kids with their hands out now for the free government phones also.

Thank you for your comments, they are right on. I am still in deep depression about how the election turned out. I am clear that there was massive fraud, and this is not sour grapes. As a teacher in Inner city Los Angeles, I have an up front seat on gun violence in LA. The problem is that when guns are taken from the public as opposed to street criminals, the public is left defenseless and at the mercy of the thugs in society! We must see the under belly of this govt. beast for what it is, a leviathian of progressive thought! The dangerous thing about progressives is that they really believe that they are enlightened above the rest of us and thus are qualified to lord it over us in all things! They seek to control us, but first they must take away from us all means of possible rebellion! That is, our weapons! Remember, the founders placed the 2nd Amendment to protect us from a tyrannical govt., period! This is what separates us from other democracies. We have freedom and we believe in something higher than ourselves! Progressives really are throwbacks from the communists when that theory failed miserably in the 20′s and 30′s! They believe that they can make a Socialist Utopian society work because they are somehow smarter! So, they have been bent on changing this society into the failed communist dream! To do this, the people must be brought into submission and the first thing is to make the people slaves through economic and social mandates. Then get the guns!

You guys are completely misunderstanding the current environment and what Glenn is saying.

Hitler was able to sieze power overnight, the tools were there for it. The tools are NOT here in the US for a similar grab. That is 10-20 years down the road. The President hasn’t marginalized Congress and the Supreme Court enough yet.

With that in mind, Glen is saying that prior to that happening, you can fight and win in the Courts, even to the Supreme Court. Flooding the jails will cripple cities, counties and states financially so they will NOT want gun owners in them. This will highlight any gun control laws turning millions of gun owners into criminals overnight. People will be forced to rethink their position. As long as we stay peaceful, that ‘rethink’ will fall on our side. If it’s violent, it could go either way but leaning to the ‘we lose’ side. This is what Glenn is telling you.

Do not raise your firearm in anger yet, the situation is not to that point. Hopefully, we can avoid that situation altogether, but I’m sure Glenn will be the first to tell you to pick up your gun if the other side turns violent first.

I do not advocate Civil War on this issue (yet) but trust me, it’s very, very possible and I strongly suggest restraint, but a clear lack of compliance on any assault weapons ban. The entire point of having these rifles is to remain in shooting distance of a tyranny led military. Do not give them up!

Yes, but I believe the real intention here by this admin is to invite an attack against this nation, then your 10-20 years down the road scenario goes out the window. The draft gets enacted, martial law declared and then Hitlers National Socialist nation is reborn overnight (american style). No one is going to care about gun rights then and elections suspended. NDAA kicks in!

I don’t understand either. Glenn has always said we CANNOT ever give up our bill of rights. He has said that he truly believes that the bill of rioghts, the constitution, and the declaration of independence were inspired by God. According to the writings of the founders, the 2nd ammendment was specificly written to insure we the people had a defense against a tyrannical government. If it was inspired by God….for this very purpose….why is he saying to not use it now? Perhaps he is afraid the government will shut him down for preaching violence against the government…I don’t know.

I really appreciate all the work GB has done over the years. But he now seems to be distancing himself from what he started. He said he’s done with trying to get the word out and he is moving on, something about that he has got all the people onto the boat that he’s going to get. Maybe so…maybe so! Now what? We are going to educate the people about being great inventors and businessmen/women when our government is out of control?

We are in big trouble and we should not stop ringing the alarm bell. Hold your ground, be peaceful of course. But being passive in the face of this cultural civil war will only lead to genocide. When the guns are gone, it will be mass chaos in the USA. Thats when the UN troops show up! CHIEF,
I agree with you on not giving up on people. A few weeks ago, an aquaintance of mine, who is extremely liberal and an avid obama supporter, was waliking his dog in an alley near a kids park across the street from where I live. The dog crapped on the side of the alley in some overgrown weeds and trash that was in them. A cop saw it and gave him a ticket for $500 . This person was livid and the cop told him that because of new environmental laws in the town a dog can’t crap anywhere on city property. After I told him about agenda 21, and the new police powers that his kind have voted in, He seemed to finally understand what I have been telling him all these years.

obviously, the school districts cannot afford armed guards….But the federal government would love to help them out….Of course there are strings attached. Next thing you know our kids will be going through school checkpoints, going through body scanners, and taking off their shoes. Then the armed guards (who will be paid by federal govt) will try to unionize…..They will call themselves SSA (School Security Agency)

@P8triot….I’ll see what I can do. To be honest..I have heard from people I trust that that is the case….and I feel it in my gut that it is true. The NRA has been talking with the administration as we all know…and I think this is all theater. I think the Obama administration was planning on putting armed guards in our schools all along…if they could get enough public support. The NRA is trying to drum up that support with their loyal supporters.

Think about it. If Adam Lanzo had realized there were unidentified designated trained faculty at Sandy Hook Elementary who were armed with a concealed weapon … would he have embarked on his mission of evil knowing he could have been taken down in one shot. Adam was evil but he was not stupid.

In a “gun free zone” Sandy Hook Elementary faculty were denied their Constitutional right to use deadly force if necessary and six faculty were sitting ducks when gunned down along with 20 of their students.

Why are parents and loved ones of those massacred on that fateful day not crying bloody murder. Why are parents nationwide not petitioning “the powers that be” en mass for armed secuirty while their children are entrusted to the system? Something akin to the children of the elite..

The NRA is a LOBBY GROUP for gun manufacturer.
They are in the business of selling as many guns as possible.
They do this by promoting fear, paranoia, and hysteria where none exists.
LIke military contractors they donate millions of dollars to candidates.

The second amendment has nothing to do with the NRA.
It’s about selling guns and profits.

Agreed. There should be guards in private schools and government buildings. Oh wait, there already is. You liberals are freaking pathetic. Every judge and politician gets to go work in a truly safe environment but our children in public schools are left to fend for themselves? You despicable leftist trolls.

Each school district or board should decide whether to hire professional security teams, enact better and tougher security measures, or have trained, certified and licensed principles or certain teachers as a backup for extreme emergencies (though be ready to spend more on the public school system in order to protect the lives of our children. BTW, I don’t know of any parent who’s not willing to pay more in taxes to ensure the safety of their children). I also think we should start enforcing our criminal laws in the books and giving out stricter sentences in these crime filled massive liberal cities, and finally get these thugs off the streets! This will keep these pathetic low lives in jail where they belong (though be ready to spend more on enforcement and the justice system in order to keep you safe from these dangerous individuals).

This is of course too much common sense and plain logic for leftist liberal morons to comprehend.

Okay .. a little off subject but does concern guns. Today on The Blaze Glenn doubled down on us being ARRESTED when/if they come to get our guns .. and not only that made “fun” of the idea of a Gun Appreciation day .. saying people taking to the streets in 3 corner hats and such just makes us look ridiculous (btw .. I have never “dressed up” more than to wear red white and blue to any event) .. he said we should not take to the streets … really. We should just be rounded up by Obama (remember Van Jones wants us DEAD) and go along quietly. I was one of the first to sign up for GBTV and on The Blaze .. but Glenn is putting me and my family in DANGER with this talk. Has he never heard of FEMA and what they have planned .. how about all that ammo … how about the body bags and caskets. Glenn evidently does’t want to deal with gun confiscation in New Orleans. Where “good” folk, who were not in any danger, were “helped” by the government. Forcibly removed from their safe, lawful premises like criminals with their guns confiscated for just being there.

I daresay that if all those folk had “taken to the street” in a unified show of solidarity – rather than being picked off maliciously one by one – things might have been different. Lesson learned, I say.

The very idea we could repeat MLK’s pacifist stategy is REDICULOUS! The Government was on MLK’s side – in that his movement fit in with their larger, socialistic agenda. Us gunowners DO NOT. Ghandi was successful because Britian could not AFFORD its empire anymore, the US empire is attempting to EXPAND! Any paralells are not only naieve, but about as inapplicable as it gets. We gunowner/constitutionlists bear no similarities at all in our perdicament.

Hence, Glenn’s advise on this matter is horribly bogus. He may have a good handle on current communistic agendas, but he doesn’t understand how those pacifist examples actually FIT THAT AGENDA.

      @CATB

I think Glenn’s point is that this regime always puts us in a ‘lose-lose situation’.

The media has been portraying us as ‘violent’, ‘terrorists’, ‘racist’, etc. when all we’ve done is go to a few rallies and some town hall meetings.

No matter what we do on the 19th, it will be construed as nefarious.

      We are being set up.

We are being poked and picked on.

They need us to make a move so they can set the plan in motion.

Glenn is saying, don’t fall for it…continue to use the system we were given (the Constitution) and keep trying to expose them for who they are.

Use the courts…don’t be ‘reactive’, be ‘proactive’.

Do not fall for the bait…

The left has been building alliances for years (radical Islam, communists, drug cartels, anarchists), and they will all join the fight against us. The same with the UN & NATO. We are what stands between them and their dream.

They cannot fire the first shot, or the narrative they have spun will come undone.

They need us to loose our cool, that’s why they are pushing our buttons.

      That’s my take on it…

This is what you must know:

      @yoursuperstupid

This is what you don’t know.

There were no armed guards at Columbine.

There was one police officer out in the parking lot.

There was another police officer nearby writing a ticket to a driver.

No one but the two murderers were armed inside the school.

Students and staff were left defenseless inside the school.

      You’re an idiot.
