Find Out How This Texas Lawmaker Is Trying to Shield His State From Gun Control Measures Enacted by ‘King Obama’

Any future federal laws passed by Congress or executive orders imposed by President Barack Obama aimed at restricting the ownership of semi-automatic guns or limiting the size of magazines will be considered illegal in Texas — that is, if a newly proposed bill makes it through the Texas legislature.

GOP Rep. Steve Toth said he plans to introduce the “Firearms Protection Act,” which calls for felony criminal charges to be filed against any federal official who tries to enforce new gun-restricting regulations in the Lone Star State.

“If a federal official comes into the state of Texas to enforce the federal executive order, that person is subject to criminal prosecution,” Toth told 1200 WOAI’s Joe Pags Tuesday.

Federal officials would face a $50,000 fine and up to five years in prison for attempting to enforce a federal gun ban, according to Toth.

“It is our responsibility to push back when those laws are infringed by King Obama,” Toth said.

The Americans who took up arms during the Revoltionary War did so with the best technology they could afford in order to stand up against what was then the greatest military power in Europe.

The sheriff is part of the executive branch of government and thus is constitutionally required by way of solemn oath, to uphold, defend, support, and obey the United States Constitution. So just like our President and Representatives, our sheriff’s supreme duty and responsibility is to protect and defend the Constitution.

This “defense” should rightly take the form of securing the county from encroachment by the federal government. The sheriff is the supreme law enforcement authority in his county and it is for this reason that the office of sheriff is an elected position. In fact, this is the most important aspect of the sheriff’s authority; he is elected by, for, and of the people. He is not appointed, he is not a bureaucrat, he does not report to the town manager or to the city council. He reports directly to the people and is answerable to them and them alone. The role of the sheriff is another checks and balance put in place by our founders to help secure a free nation. The office should serve as another level of protection between the government and the people.

We as americans have come to the fork on the road, where we need to make good, on our responsibilities as a FREE PEOPLE, and by suporting our state representatives that are willing to fight for us over what OUR UNITED STATES CONSTITUTION STANDS FOR.
And as state citizens,understand that the battle ahead is going to be very hard and dirty, do to the many decades,that FAIL OUR OWN FAMILIES, by permiting thise cancerous PARASITES, to litle by litle, undermind our phisical state of counciens, to the point that we became numm, to everything, they have been doing, against all of us, UNDER THE COLORS OF LAW.

I believe Texas and Wyoming have great proposals and I fully support them, but Louisiana has already added a great gun policy to their state constitution – I would love to have my state follow the lead of Louisiana and I will be contacting my state reps to copy LA.

Make no mistake – gun control laws are more about control than they are about guns.

Rep. Toth’s bill is welcome. It aligns with the Constitution (as amended) and various of the proposed federal gun control laws do not. As such, I applaud it.

  same thing happend to the beautiful state of washington, back in the 70′s when a few families began to inmigrate to the state from californi, by the early 80′s the sate taxes went way up and the home values increased 3 times its value, destroying the native people of the state of washington that were good simple people, they turned it into a distrustful, neurotic society as they saw their economy been destroyed just like the californians had already done with their own state.
  Any one that flees the north east or california should be stoped at the border and not permited to come into any conservative state, like wyoming,idaho,texas,oklahoma,utha,indiana unless they don’t mind having these parasites come with all their filthy co citizens with them and become a later burden to their own state, pushing for the same laws that destroy thesame states they are leaving and that is why i detest this actor crying clown of glenn beck, who is letting the whole nation to move to texas

I hope other states stand up with this man. I Don’t know how any 1 can go against the constitution. These people are in there to uphold the constitution. Why are they going against it. Are the people in there going against it. Are they Americans? I just love it when local and state officials declare that they just won’t implement any laws. After all, after 20 years of “Sanctuary Cities” and Barry choosing which laws he wants to uphold and those that he doesn’t, the US is no longer a “Country of Laws”, it’s now a “Country of Men”. That means that different people put their own interpretation on what to follow and what NOT to follow.

The Progressives have been doing this for decades, so if we can’t stop it, the Conservatives might as well do the same!

  This has been my exact sentiment for quite some time, and a growing number of people I know feel the same way. Politicians, liberals, and the foreign nationals they enable aren’t the only ones who can pick and choose which law is valid and which is not. It is far past time to put a stop to this long-brewing Communist plot and its aiding of usurper insurgents.
  I’m a Texan, and have remained here since birth. As such, I am intimately familiar with the gradual proliferation of foreign nationals over the past 20 years. They consider Texas to be their easy gateway into the country, often displaying decals on the backs of their vehicle windows to that effect… The word “Puerta”, printed across the very distinctive outline of our state’s shape. As a group, they have absolutely no respect for any of us, and as a result, many have none for them. So, within the borders of the Lone Star state, there is a possibility that we would be fighting what would amount to a “two-front” war. This means we would need all the help we can get. Or, maybe they’d all just start running back toward the border if the SHTF. They seem to only be interested in the path of least resistance, and I believe they are aware that they are not welcome here, and why. The main issue is that there are also a fair number of people who are not like them, but share the same country of origin. Those here legitimately are probably outnumbered 10-to-1, but being principled, they may do the right thing. Who knows?

In recent history, Wyoming and Texas have been leading the way in matters 2nd Amendment.
Not much is said about the 10th (States Rights) Amendment. But what TX and WY are only doing what is right under the Amendment AND the ‘Supremacy Clause’ in the body of the Constitutiom (Article VI, Clause 2).

The Feds already forfeited any claim to the Supremacy Clause when they allowed sanctuary cities for illegal aliens, and medicinal marijuana to exist. If they’re going to let that slide don’t come knocking on my door looking for guns.
