Surprise, surprise, D.C. is on the cusp of another crisis likely to produce a last minute deal no one is satisfied with. This type of behavior from health care reform to the debt ceiling to the Fiscal Cliff and now the debt ceiling again has become a common cycle; and some individuals and organizations are beginning to call Congress out on it. FreedomWorks has launched a “DC: Do Your Job” petition to end behavior like the Senate going four years without passing a budget. Jan. 15, 2013 at 11:13pmI have been a Republican since I was a kid (Nixon era) and always defended the party…now I am a man in search of a party…people who believe what I believe…other Conservatives…I am (after all these years) ready to bolt…someone please start a party of believers in the Constitution and that congress should be a part ime job…held by REAL PATRIOTS….people who have to follow all the laws they create….HELP ME…..

Jan. 16, 2013 at 3:38amRKD: I was a liberal, real liberal during the Nixon era and began changing about 1974. Looking back on it now, all the Republicans have done by and large is make conservative talk. Honestly I’m not sure there has been a good president since Calvin Coolidge. If you are looking for a party that believes in the Constitution, the Constitution Party is one possibility. There is also the Libertarians. All I know is that if the Conservatives don’t find some leaders and coalesce behind some kind of resistance movement, we are done.
