‘What’s Wrong With These People?’: MSNBC Hosts Slam NRA’s New Ad

MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough and Mike Brzezinski on Wednesday reacted with outrage and disgust at the National Rifle Association’s new ad, calling the organization “sick” and asking “what’s wrong with these people?” over the video’s reference of President Barack Obama’s daughters.

The spot calls Obama a “hypocrite” and an “elitist” for sending his children to a school protected by armed guards while supporting “gun free zones” for others. It asks, “are the president’s kids more important than yours?”

“What’s wrong with these people?” Scarborough asked on “Morning Joe.” “You have children that had no say in the decision of whether their father is going to step forward to be president of the United States, to run for president, one of the most bone-crushing, sacrificing things any husband or wife can do to their family. And the second they make that decision, their children and their entire family have targets on their backs. And the NRA is putting something out — what’s wrong with these people?”

Co-host Brzezinski declared the NRA “out of step, out of the mainstream, totally out of sync with what’s going on with our society.

“Quite frankly after seeing that I think some of the people who run that thing are sick,” she said. “I really do, I think they are sick in the head. And I’m serious, I am embarrassed right now, I am embarrassed for our country that we have a section of society, the NRA — which should have a voice, certainly trying to protect a constitutional amendment, I understand that, and there’s a really legitimate debate — but they just took it , they brought it down to the lowest, most base level, it’s now — cringe. It’s cringe.”

Scarborough declared the NRA’s leadership has “dragged them over the cliff” and said the organization’s worst enemy “could not be doing more damage to this once-respected, mainstream organization as [CEO] Wayne LaPierre is every single day.”

“You should be embarrassed to be part of the NRA at this point,” Brzezinski said.

“This extremism is so frightening and just over, over the line,” Scarborough added.

Oh yeah…the NRA is exploiting kids in their ad, but the king isn’t when he drags in a bunch of them to promote his anti-gun, anti-2nd Amendment show today. Nothing like using young ones to gin up hysteria and emotion over gun violence. Too bad he can’t see the real causes….mental health issues, violent movies and video games, adolescent bullying and poor parenting being among them. It’s not a one-size-fits-all solution and until that is accepted, no gun restrictions will make any difference. These crazies don’t really pay attention to gun laws, in case you didn’t know…….

When Joe admits that any abortion is really legal murder of a fetus then we’ll discuss this ad and what it means. Abortion is such a clean term and murder just isn’t is it?

Maybe someone needs to tell the anchors that these security personnel are not in place to protect the kids because the president’s children are there, they are they are standard operating procedure.

How can these morons MSNBC fools not see that this IS about the safety of children. ALL children in all schools, not just in the school that Obama’s kids go to. Their acting out to be disgusted is poor acting to say the least. It would have been much more acceptable by them if it would have been something the democrats came up with, like getting the little kids to make the poster of “We Love Obama” to shore up his gun control. Why is it more important that his children have armed protection at their school than ours? Let’s stay focused on the subject at hand here, the safety of the children, ALL children, not just his and the Washington elites children is what has brought all this gun control crap up. Let’s not be dragged off course by the liberals and led to believe that this is a terrible attack on the president kids. I didn’t see that at all, rather it’s about the raw hypocricy of this president speaking out both sides of his mouth. There’s nothing wrong with pointing out that this is all a case of class warfare. Obama and the democrats are HYPOCRITES to the core.

We are being marginalized people. The left is isolating us to make us look like we’re the crazy ones. They’re trying to convince their audience that the NRA and it’s members and adherents are EXTREMISTS.
When they’ve achieved this, then it will be easy for the government to put us down by any means necessary and no one will come to our aid. They are looking at us like we are a cancer. You know what happens to cancer? Does anyone feel sympathy for cancer? NOPE!

POLITICIANS have screwed with the 2nd amendment for many many years. The liberals can’t handle the facts or the truth, and they spin it. For us to continue to argue how messed up their perceptions are, is INSANE on the CONSERVATIVE’S part… I swear this nation is more divided than ever. Honestly I think RED & BLUE STATES need to separate, and all people need to live where their beliefs are upheld in their state. People who fight for this 2nd amendment have been demonized, threatened, and chastised in the MSM. WAKE UP PEOPLE.

There’s nothing wrong with the ad, and nothing wrong with the NRA. There is something wrong with MSNBC. How many of these guys stood up for Journal News publishing names and addresses – effectively putting targets on people’s backs.

GOP= Guns Over People. That is what is wrong with these people. Thankfully they are going the way of the dinosaur (which one did mary ride into bethlehem? And Joe Scab-orborough every single day gets so close to going liberal that he is far left of most of these fools. MSNBC should be taken off the air for sheer stupidity and ridiculously feigned outrage.

The president USES children in his mock ceremony on gun control, HE FRICKIN USES CHILDREN standing right beside him, and the NRA never showed a pic of Obama girls or named them and this is what they are outraged about. This is political pornography. These Cretans will have an extra hot place in hell waiting for them. I couldn’t even finish the video because I threw up in my mouth a little bit at their fake outrage.

I thought it was a good ad… could have been better though… instead of directly pointing to BO and his kids they should have concentrated on the insanity of not having protection for our kids in school. Pointed to the Insanity of security at airports, politicians in general, and the fact that the administation has completely disregarded the NRA’s suggestion because it doesn’t align with thier liberal thought… I also think the NRA did a sloppy job of handling their response in the first place…. oh well, done is done.
