Ex-Priest Shocks Parishioners After He’s Indicted for Allegedly Selling Meth
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (The/AP) — File this one under “shocker.” A former Roman Catholic priest is among five people who have been indicted by a federal grand jury in an alleged drug operation involving shipments of methamphetamine to Connecticut from California.
Federal prosecutors said Kevin Wallin, 61, former pastor at St. Augustine’s parish in Bridgeport, received the shipments and sold methamphetamine to an undercover officer six times since last September. Prosecutors say investigators also gathered evidence from court-authorized wiretaps.

The grand jury in Bridgeport indicted the five people Tuesday on charges of conspiring to distribute 500 grams or more of a substance containing methamphetamine and 50 grams of actual methamphetamine. Wallin, of Waterbury, was also charged with six counts of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine. The conspiracy charges carry 10 years to life in prison upon conviction.
All five are detained. It’s not clear if they have lawyers.
Also charged are Kenneth Devries, 52, of Waterbury, Michael Nelson, 40, of Manchester, Chad McCluskey, 43, of San Clemente, Calif., and Kristen Laschober, 47, of Laguna Niguel, Calif.

Wallin resigned as St. Augustine’s pastor in June 2011 after serving nine years in the post, citing health and personal issues, the Diocese of Bridgeport said in a statement. Diocese officials granted him a sabbatical the following month.
During the sabbatical, diocese officials became concerned about Wallin’s well-being and reached out to him, but he has never spoken directly to church officials, the diocese said in the statement, which did not elaborate.
Wallin’s faculties for public ministry were suspended in May 2012 and he has not been reassigned, the diocese said.
“News of Msgr. Kevin Wallin’s arrest comes with a sense of shock and concern on the part of the diocese and the many people of Fairfield County who have known him as a gifted, accomplished and compassionate priest,” the diocese said. “The diocese stands ready to help as it has throughout the past two years. We ask for prayers for Msgr. Wallin during the difficult days ahead for him.”

Posted on January 19, 2013 at 2:03pmI am not at all surpiced to here this God says in the last days all things will be reveiled, did you know that the 25 th. dec. is a pagane Gods birthday, but not CHRIST. That taking A tree into your house and deckerating it is a sin. The skirt around it on the floor stands for the scarfice rug that was put under the Human scaerfie. The reef you put on the door was used to let the deamon know to what house to go to. The Catholic Church is a Pagon church started by a pagan preist in order to high jack the CHRISTIAN CHURCH. The Popes living quarters are setting over the pagon Goddess tomb. How can any Church saying they stand for Jesus Christ go all over the world inslave and destory so many people while sealling all they can. All anyone has to do to be a menister now days is to get on the web and take a test and send your money. I once had a man tell me religion was nothing but a business and told him its a business of the Devil.God has set the laws down with Moses to followand anything else is mans way to worship him on their terms. All those might meet God and be told depart from me yew workers iniquity, for I never knew you. All these preachers holowaring send me money, either did not read about the young rich man or they chose to aegnor it. To be a true Christian is to follow Christ life the best we can and pray for giddness and forgivenees when we fail. Those will not do this will be the shaft Jesus will be burning on his return which will be a lot sooner than some will wan

Posted on January 18, 2013 at 1:15pmHow do men like this keep getting ordained in the Catholic faith? What is their screening process? You don’t just go from being someone who is dedicated to God to being a meth dealer. There had to be signs early on that he was looking for a cover for his propensity for evil. The Catholic Church needs to re-think the whole formation of priests and have some heavy duty shrinks take a look at the candidates. There are many good lay catholics, but the hierarchy is completely out of touch and too naive in worldy matters.

Well, what if he’s a priest? WAYYYY more interesting. Abra kadabra, you have a story.

Posted on January 18, 2013 at 12:55pmOh this story gets deeper. He retired under pressure because he was seen cross dressing and entertaining other cross dressers at the rectory. (no pun intended) After that he purchased a sex toy shop and was distributing meth from there. Serious bad apple.
Wait for the update….!

Yeah … so?
Wake up American lemmings!
The “drug war” is the longest running war in American history … that makes absolutely NO DIFFERENCE as regards drugs! That’s because it NEVER was about “drugs” …
http://stopthedrugwar.org/
“No bells and whistles went off and no balloons dropped from the ceiling, but sometime last year, somewhere in the land of the free, the jailhouse door slammed shut behind the nation’s two millionth prisoner.”
So what’s behind all this “American Liberty”?
The “drug war” is only an excuse for building the “standing army” that America’s Founders so greatly feared and warned us about. Hitler and his SS would drool to have the “internal security” apparatus that the drug war has developed for America.
But marxist Obama needed to move that time-table “forward” and called for such in his 2008 speech in Colorado:
“We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we’ve set. We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded.”
A-a-a-ah, yes …

Posted on January 17, 2013 at 10:43pmWhy would it be shocking? After years of hearing about all the Priests using little boys (and some girls) I think it’s been a culture that hasn’t culled the bad priests out of service……instead when they were found out, they’d just get transferred to another place so they could do their dirty deeds again.\
Nothing shocking after all these years of sinful deeds.

EX-Priest
Do you also judge a doctor by listening to people who don’t go to him?
Or maybe you stop taking medicine, because people who don’t take it tell you it dosn’t work?

Posted on January 17, 2013 at 7:18pmHe was an EX-PRIEST. What you bigots don’t understand is that Satan will work the hardest to tempt leaders first — the ones who have committed their lives to God. That includes all denominations and faiths.
Those people are human and subject to sin just like you. Why is it that this is even NEWS????? The man is NOT a clergyman anymore. Clearly, he made a choice. Sin over a life serving God. He is just another meth dealer now, and not anymore newsworthy than the other ones arrested this week.

EX as in no longer a priest.

Posted on January 17, 2013 at 2:14pmLife’s lessons have harsh consequences, especially for those fallen from the protection of the saving grace of the Holy Spirit. Bad company will have that effect as sure as fear, doubt and unbelief. These types of stories always reminds me of the book of Job 2: On another day the angels came to present themselves before YHVH and Satan also came with them to present himself before Him. And YHVH said to Satan, “Where have you come from?” Satan answered YHVH, “From roaming through the earth and going back and forth in it.”
Better to make sure that Satan does not get you by your “testimonies” for belief is hope in future salvation but no one is saved until the corruptible puts on the incorruptible. Testing comes until the day you die, Satan saw to that.

Posted on January 17, 2013 at 1:50pmGood one. And the sores on his face. They weren’t the Stigmata. And, “ex” priest would seem to be an indicator that he isn’t in the business of submitting to the Lord or keeping his vows. After you break your vows then cooking meth, using meth and selling meth is just a logical descent.
