Mayor Bloomberg Makes His Point Abundantly Clear: ‘Bottom Line Is There’s Too Many Guns’

NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg seemed to tip his hand in a Thursday morning interview with CBS: In his mind, it’s not just about how people may use guns and stopping criminals from getting guns, it’s that there’s just too many guns in this country.

“The bottom line is there’s too many guns,” he told CBS “This Morning’s” Charlie Rose. In fact, Bloomberg earlier noted that it’s no longer about how one might use a gun on someone else, but that the problem extends to people using firearms to take their own life.

“Keep in mind, there are 33 people killed with handguns each day, and more people die from suicide with handguns than even get killed,” he said, raising his finger for emphasis.

Bloomberg also called the NRA’s recent ad “dumb PR” and said “you really have to be stupid to do that.” The ad called out officials who send their children to schools with armed guards but have opposed the NRA’s call to do so across the country.

Fellow CBS host Nora O’Donnell then threw him a softball as he piled on the organization: “Does the NRA represent gun owners or gun manufacturers?”

In all honesty, to me, (I might change my mind as I hear more about it.) Obama’s bill doesn’t seem nearly as bad as everyone was making it out to be. Most of the things in it are already being done. It just a HUGE waste of money – money that we don’t have. However, the New York Bill is is beyond ridiculous. Limiting the number of bullets a person can have to 7 is insane. Just yesterday in Memphis, TN one person was killed and another was injured during a home invasion. There were THREE men who invaded the home. This bill would only allow the home owner to have 2 bullets per person and one to spare. The home owner would have to be a really good shot!

  I guess it does not bother you that the Great One wants your doctor and any other medical worker to spy on you. It is only a matter of time before the Great One would make it mandatory that all health care workers ask about guns in homes. Does that bother you? Or maybe it does not bother you that the DHS is going to use that information, and find other ways to investigate anyone they think is buying too many guns or too much ammunition or maybe mentally unstable, like anyone who writes here or anyone conservative. Who determines what is too many guns and too much ammunition? They will end up investigating all of us if they can find a way to do it, or compiling a database on all gun owners as possible terrorists or threats. You think not? It is already happening.

Theres too may leftists like you in My country, the country I served in the Army for 7 years to protect against people like yourself – telling people like me what I can and can’t eat, what light bulb, shower head, toilet, how big a Coke I can buy, what kind of car I need to be driving, that I don’t need guns, etc.If you don’t like America and what it strands for then I suggest you buy yourself a 1 way plane ticket to someplace like France where they will love the hell out of you and you can live youe little socialist utopia dreams to your hearts content. Any way you look at it I guess I’m just telling you to STFU and go away – can I make it any more clear?

Millions of $$$ are being sent to NRA by citizen support. We appreciate their stand against government attempts to take away our defensive weapons and in support of the Constitutional rights of citizens. Surely gun manufactures support NRA as well as the government – who purchases vast quantities of tactical and assult weapons along with the required ammo with our tax dollars. So you see, it is we citizens who are funding gun manufacturers. Bloomberg and Odonnel have the anti – gun pro police state agenda mentality.

Bloomberg and Kelly take us for fools. These men, who are the two most entrusted to uphold and enforce our laws, are the same two most guilty of violating them. Both men have defied immigration law and allow illegal aliens to roam the city with impunity.

Bloomberg and Kelly are both guilty of gross and willful dereliction of duty, violation of their sworn oath of office, and aiding and abetting. They have no right to demand anything of the people who pay their salaries and those who do pay their salaries have every right to demand these two be removed from office and prosecuted.

Too many guns? If there were one, and only one, gun in the entire world, I’d want it to be mine. Were there two guns in the entire world I’d want them both to be mine. Fortunately, guns in their basic form are relatively simple things and easily made; the formula for gun powder readily available. Just as sharp objects, guns will always be with us.

BTW – What mental disorder caused the people of NYC to make this Bloomberg character their mayor?

Mayor Nannypants: How many lives do you really expect to save with your strict gun laws? It’s against the law to murder people right? (except abortion of coarse) If it’s against the law to murder people, then why do murders happen? A person hell bent on killing innocent people isn’t concerned about your “tough” gun laws if he/she is willing to break the law by commiting murder. Your president’s administration allowed military assault rifles cross the Mexican border to be used by drug dealers to kill Americans and Mexicans alike.

1.25 million abortions are performed in the United States each year. Compare that to about 11,000 murders with guns. Most of these murders are done with hand guns and a very large number of these murders are done against dirt bags, drug dealers, gang bangers, etc… not the very innocent.

We need to look at ourselves, our society and to God for answers. We need to turn away from evil, sin, violence in our movies, video games, and music. We need to become better parents and teach morals, responsibility and ethics. We need to be more involved in our children’s lives and less dependent on morons like you to save us.

I would feel a lot safer in public knowing people like the Blaze posters were armed than I would if doomberg was looking out for my safety. I trust American citizens a heck of a lot more than I do these power mad politicians and their stormtroopers.

Hate to break it to ya Gloomberg, but bottomline, there are too many people born with a sin nature. People have been killing other people long before guns even existed, often in much more horrific ways. The guns are not the problem. Just like food is not the problem for morbidly obese individuals, toys are not the problem for tantrum throwing toddlers, and words are not the problem for gossips and liars. It’s not the thing, it’s what you do with the thing. An object can not compel a person to do something they won’t do on their own.

A determined, sinful person will use whatever they can to accomplish their purposes.

As you’re busy trying to gag and tie the hands of those that seek to protect the lives and liberties of their families and neighbors, why don’t you do something useful and tie yourself up… and don’t forget that gag.

I remember the last four years how all the leftist called us crazy that Obama was going to try to enact strong gun control laws. Now that we have been proven right they are calling us crazy for saying he will try to confiscate law abiding citizens guns. We are not soothsayers lefties.
