She’s a better shooter than someone’s Grandpa. Setting on the square range punching holes in paper is nothing. She was good at Team Glock. She’s good now at Team Taurus (I believe she’s with them now). Watching her run and gun at a match is a sight.

Bringing her on TV was a smart move. We need to fight back against the image the left portrays of us. I Also though the demo showing the different weapons and calibers was VERY smart.

To all of you know-it-alls who signed on just to criticize this woman(who happens to be on our side), she was not trying to prove her skills or knowledge of gun parts. She was merely trying to demonstrate the different levels of damage done by each different weapon and pointing out the liberals backwards thinking. I think she got her point across very well.

  Agree with your point JohnJ. No more, no less. a quick simple “laymans’” explanation and easily understood by most. That was the point. To read more into the presentation is merely looking for something to complain about that was never there.

Not exactly on topic with this article, but years ago I read an article about a Texas Game Warden who proclaimed that it is very easy to shoot from the hip and hit a person who is within 25 feet.

  I think it was a Border Patrol Agent…his name was Bill Jordan. Yes, he could do it, but that is a skill that requires hundreds of hours of practice to build muscle memory and hand and eye coordination. His philosophies were big in the 50s, 60s and into the 70s’ his methods are still the basis for tactical handgun training, but have evolved.

I would have preferred to have her speak and to have Hannity to have kept his mouth shut. He kept interrupting her while she was teaching.

As a female who isn’t into guns, but who isn’t afraid of the subject matter, she brought home some important facts that could just stand alone and didn’t need his snarky input. It was painfully obvious that the damage done to the target with the AR-15 that they’re banning is the same as the damage done by your average 9mm handgun. The latter a gun that is ubiquitous in the US. Take away the SLG (‘scary looking gun’) aspects of the AR-15 and you’re left with your run of the mill Glock. How many are owned by gun owners in the US?

That and the fact that there are so many OTHER guns that are legal in the US that can do MUCH GREATER damage.

Those two points, left to hang in the air, is much more powerful than the mocking that Hannity illustrates all too often. There is a lot of misinformation about guns currently flying around and I agree with the poster above who stated that they could do a two hour special on this issue that could be incredibly power IF it was done WITHOUT the political stupidity that turns people off.

Wow. I have nor read all the comments, but your expert mis-identified the “pistol grip”. She was actually pointing to the “vertical grip”. She is a good shot no doubt.

I give Hannity and Fox a C+ for the effort. It was a good bit, but the topic needs MUCH more time devoted to it. Fox should put together a 2-hour special on guns and bring in real experts from all over (not just marksmen, but people who can bring historical and present context, as well as details on guns (magazine capacities, round types, bullet velocities, incident statistics, uses, etc.). Demonstrations are valuable, too!

Facts will show that these idiot politicians don’t have a stinkin clue what they’re doing (or talking about).

Expose them, Hannity!

P.S. Nice shooter lady, I think you’re great. Any woman your size that can handle a .30-06 is a daisy in my book! But I don’t believe the foregrip you referenced is “the pistol grip everyone is talking about”. They’re talking about stocks with pistol grips.

P.P.S. Beck should watch this video (and others). I caught a little of him on the radio this week when he kept talking about “clips” instead of magazines. And then he went on to say that “all pistols have a capacity of 10 or 12″. Terrible ignorance for someone trying to represent us on the gun issue. Get smart, Glenn, then talk. Please.

  I agree…on the TV special and the Beck comment. Our “proponents” need to be more educated than our opponents for sure. Listening to Beck the other day made me want to scream at the television. When I was young and stupid(er) a Drill Sergeant set me straight about clips and magazines…”Clips are what little girls use in their ****.” These TV folks either need to get educated or shut up and get folks on who are. This story is a decent start, but there needs to be a serious push from all aspects of the shooting community, tactical, defensive, competitive and sporting / hunting. Everyone needs to get on board and be vocal and that includes rank and file law enforcement…they need to be out there on the tube, telling folks that they DO NOT support any form of gun control. Ask any REAL cop what they think about gun control and most will tell you they prefer folks own guns. It actually is a deterrent.

Rally around the flag boys and get with the program in lieu of being a judgmental want-a-be! Besides, being humble is a sign of a strong character!

All this did was hurt us. Now the LEFT will use our own arguments defending the .223 AR as a means to get rid of the other guns because even the NRA agrees they do more damage.

I am sick of Republicans shooting themselves in the foot. They will never learn to think 10 years ahead and for that we will always be fighting these people and their agendas.

  Yeah, I thought it looked bad too, but…this is where education comes in. On the lower shotgun round she was simply too close to the target to accurately demonstrate the “bird shot.” At that range (distance) only a small amount of the shot had left the wad/cup because it hadn’t traveled far enough. Ten more feet and the bird shot would have dispersed more and the wad would have barely dented the sheet metal. It was a poor example, but anyone who knows shotguns knew what happened. Now we need to educate everyone else so they get it too.

Kudos for posting this video. Watched Hannity last night and was a great show! She is beautiful and is an amazing marksman. As a woman who is up against the war on women I’m glad this was publicized. I’m proud and hope we can encourage more women to be great marksman. It’s truly a fun sport.

Sometimes people don’t think before they put crap out like this. If your a ” gun person “, you already know about Duff and if you don’t your not much of a ” gun person ” then. This is just more fuel for the dogs on the left….

I would expect her to be an expert shot after pouring thousands of rounds down range. As for knowing more about guns I would give the gunsmith the edge on this part of it. Come to think of it you never see normal looking people (old and and over weight like me) featured on videos….lol.

So after reading some complimentary remarks and a LOT of sarcasm… I ixquicked her! Wow! She is the real deal. She’s the 2012 Ladies Open Champion in the Bianchi Cup; The World Master Champion in the World Steel Championships, and on and on. Plus she and her husband have broadcast “Friends of NRA” since 2002. I’m impressed!!
What…. ? …….. Right…….. she didn’t do that …….. somebody else did that.

Just to be fair that girl should have known that that forward grip is not what they are complaining about. (for whatever crazy reason). I understand that it is toned down to get the point across but lets be fair. Where was the AK and lets run three rounds of 00 through that 12 gauge or how about some hollow points in those pistols.
There is nothing cute about the business end of these guns and there are reasons to have them. I say let’s not try to present our side this way, lets tell it like it is and present why. Other than that, get the girl a bikini with the 2nd amd. printed on the rear and I’ll get her a converted Saiga 12 full of 00.

It’s quite obvious…. She knows her stuff.
We live in a nice neighborhood… Unfortunately, the crime that comes to us is amazing.
We have meetings every few months. The consensus is “We have Bullseye on our backs”.
Of 27 homes – 22 have had property/personal crimes committed since 2009.
Question: The guys are at the door… I should ask if they’d prefer cream in their coffee??

Why is it whenever someone wants to make the “women can do it just as well, probably better, than men” point that it’s always some super attractive woman? Makes me doubt she’s actually good and just some sort of figurehead made to attract people to the sport (or whatever).

I think she shoots 3 gun matches. That involves running, crawling, climbing shooting handguns, shotguns and rifles anywhere from 7 meters to 600meters. Tuff competition. She is the World Champion. That means she is the best boys. Bow to the Master!
