GOP Official in Pa. Symbolically Hangs U.S. Flag Upside Down on Day of Obama’s Second-Term Inauguration

On the day of President Barack Obama’s second-term inauguration celebration, the head of the Mon Valley Republican party hung a U.S. flag upside down as a symbolic gesture.
The flag was reportedly hung outside the party’s headquarters in McKeesport, Pa. and it quickly caught the attention of local media and residents. WPXI talked to several people who saw the flag and “a lot of them” said the signal of distress was inappropriate.
The man who hung the flag upside down told WPXI that he doesn’t regret the display because “our nation is in a terrible place.” Two additional flags, one on the building’s door and another on the wall, also appeared to be flipped upside down.
Utterly disappointed with the direction of the United States, the GOP official said he felt he needed to send a clear message. He apparently removed the flags at sundown.
The chair of the Mon Valley Republican Committee is identified on the group’s website. However, WPXI does not identify the GOP official in its official story.

He looked at my husband, that was wearing one of his old Border Patrol shirts and then at me wearing”Don’t Tread On Me” shirt, he chuckled and said ” OK I get it. ” We ended up talking for quite awhile. The officer is also a military man., it was very refreshing to talk to someone in his position that, although diplomatic about it, you knew he understood. Our nation is under attack and the enemies are both foreign and domestic at this point. More people need to become aware of what is happening.

I had hopes of flying it right side up last November, but the moronic electorate saw to it that it remains upside down. Maybe if Obanana leaves office soon I’ll turn the flag around. When these US flags are hung upside down they don’t know what to do about it. I guess they hope you’ll just go away. The nation is in distress! I do not believe that flying it upside constitutes a misuse but burning it yes or trampling on it in a classroom to make a silly point.

All that momentum the Tea Party had going and now it’s trickled down to nothing. They picked a unelectable candidate to run against Obama. They allowed all Tea Party candidates to be destroyed. I think Herman Caine would have stood a chance against Obama if the Tea Party and the GOP hadn’t been so moved by the liberal led attack campaign against him. We have kept it in the closet every day since the election only to be flown on American patriotic holidays such as Veterans day, July 4th. etc. We still love our country and still honor the Armed Forces, but this is the manner in which we choose to show our dissatisfaction with the direction in which ObaMao is taking our country. The election is over but we still pray for an early departure of the slug and his minions.

Posted on January 21, 2013 at 11:01pmSo a little while back The Blaze posted a story on how a union headquarters building was improperly flying the U.S. flag (below the union flag) – never even getting clarification if it was a simple mistake — and then many who commented on the story decided to rip into the union (for the flag display and much more).
And now here is an intentional ‘abuse’ of the U.S. flag and what do most of the comments offer? They offer support and/or confessions of similar flag abuse.
If there a bigger group of double-standard, hypocrites than The Blaze and so many of its posters… They might be hard to find.

When the Left similarly ‘abuses’ the U.S. flag for what are usually very similar reasons… only then does the Right condemn such.
I personally believe we have the 1st amendment right to treat the flag however we wish. It is but a SYMBOL of our country.
I just find it ‘interesting’ how the Right tries to justify certain actions when they do them – but then attack the Left when they do pretty much the exact same thing.

Posted on January 22, 2013 at 11:10am#zapparules, obviously, you do NOT understand the etiquete and traditions involving our flag… In the military when your position is over-run or about to be over-run, the signal to others is to fly the flag up-side down. This gives a visual cue to advance with caution. There is nothing improper or abusive in using the flag to show duress.
There is a major difference between this and flying the flag in an inferior position to another country or union flag. If you are unable to understand or accept this then maybe you should take your ‘hammer and sickle’ and go home…

Whatever the case may be, there is absolutely no parallel or equal comparison to be made with that act of disrespect despicable disregard for our nation (and the men who have fought and died for what it means), and flying a flag upside according to flag code due to our nation being in distress.

Obama came along at the right time. Enough generations of Americans had been dumbed down and innoculated to the ways of Socialism. He has handlers who make many decisions with regards to policy. V Jarrett supposedly has a huge say in various matters. We all know about his radical SC and Cabinet picks.
A devout anti -Constitutionalist with racial anomosity was needed, and Obama was that man.
Pray that we do not have a simultanious economic calamity and social unrest. We could be in for some rough times if those two factors collide. Hope everyone is prepared with food and water.
We just had a can sale (bulk) at our local store. We stocked up and rotated items. We have a generator with a transfer switch which runs the necessary appliances. A garden will give us frozen pole beans and canned tomatoes. I personally do not like most of the dry frozen meals.
Any imput on those would be appreiated.
Good luck to all, and don’t remember that you cannot fight fully armed, body-armered military personnel. Hopefully, many of them will refuse to take up arms against their fellow Americans.

I flew my American flag upside down for the full period leading up to the vote on Obamacare, until a nice senior citizen fellow from the local American Legion post up the road threatened my wife while I was at work, kicked the door open as she tried to close it on him, and forced entry into our home. My dog almost tore his leg off. He promised to return and “take care of that flag.” Two days later, around 3 am, it was stolen. The local police refused to follow up, even though we identified the old man.
So, I encourage you to fly your flag upside down. Really, I do. But be prepared to defend your house and your family in the process. Not everyone sees it this way. I don’t regret showing my patriotism, or what I considered my patriotism. But I regret bringing distress upon my family.
I admire the men and women I read about in the news who are doing this. As for myself, I will fly mine upside down again just as soon as I’m not the only one in my community doing so. Solidarity is key. Hell, maybe it is just what we need to spark this revolution.

I have a 3×5′ Gadsden and a 4×6′ Old Glory, but the HOA I live in doesn’t allow flag poles. They patiently wait until I can move some place that allows my patriotism to be displayed.
I agree though that the sheeple of this nation have shut their eyes, covered their ears, & stuck their heads up their keesters in their ignorance of what BHO has really done & plans to do to this nation. I think the next four years will be the flash point. We will either regain liberty or lose it.

I had a visit from a man from the Shriners, nice man, we parted agreeing to disagree. But then his brother came by that night, drunk, calling me a communist. He was apparently a Viet Nam Veteran, and said that’s what the Commies did in Viet Nam when they took over a base/post, hang the flag upside down. I had one teenager write a note and put it in my mail box (lots of i’s dotted with hearts) in support, and one man stop just to shake my hand. We don’t fly a flag now at all, even though we have a tall pole. We don’t want to give flash backs to Viet Nam Vets who may drive by (busy street, just down from the high school) and we can’t fly one right side up as long as Obama is in office.

Funny, I started watching the swearing in stuff yesterday, and got physically sick, fever, etc. Had a fever all day and most of the night, and woke up this morning feeling great. Obama lowered my immune system, besides giving me PTSD from his controlling nature.
