President Obama’s second inaugural address was always going to be an occasion for many different reactions, not all of them reasonable. Yet in this case, one or two of the reactions have been truly bizarre. If you ever wondered what Beyonce has to do with the inauguration, or how many unironic praises MSNBC could sling at the President for sounding like one of their viewers, wonder no more. The following are the top 5 responses to President Obama’s second inaugural.

#5. Senator John Barrasso (R-WY)

“I appreciate the President saying ‘we cannot count name calling as reasoned debate.’…He also talked about a commitment to spending money we don’t have, which I think puts us in debt, and puts us in a riskier situation in terms of being abel to protect and defend ourselves…Anyone who’s been watching this knows that unless we make adjustments to Medicare and Social Security, that we’re not going to be able to deal with our financial issues…I didn’t hear that he was committed to doing that.”

#4. Chris Matthews

“Reminds you of another second inaugural: Lincoln’s. So much of Lincoln in that speech, from the Gettysburg address to the second inaugural itself. I thought what was interesting was an attempt to draw a balance – of course, he’s a man of the progressive side – but he tried to draw a balance there between a government ruled by an elite and then a government ruled by a mob both being a problem.”

#3. Karl Rove

“I was surprised by the priorities. The President said, for example, at the close, the priorities of our generation are…equal pay, gay marriage, voting protections, immigration reform, gun control. You know, I’m not sure those are the highest priorities facing America today. I was also surprised by what he said was not going to be a priority…No mention at all of deficits and spending.”

“If you were a supporter of Barack Obama, and particularly a liberal supporter of Barack Obama, you were very pleased by this speech…I thought it was a real call to arms for a liberal agenda.”

So troubling to know America is in bondage to another four years of this anti-American, anti-America’s allies, Marxist.
Even more troubling is how many people actually like and enjoy the damage he’s doing to the United States of America.
He is turning it into a garbage pail and his supporters still support him.
When Obama finally leaves office and our country is in shambles, he will be cheered by the same supporters. So very sad.

  Why should anyone believe Obama’s ridiculous speeches or this inaugural speech? What the hell is the big deal about a single speech. Obama didn’t uphold hardly a thing in his first inaugural speech, what makes anyone think this time around will be different?

  He has entranced them, just as Hitler did with the Germans in the mid 1930s. Yeah, yeah, complain about my drawing a similarity, but Hitler was a very practiced speaker as well and knew how to rally the crowd. He also came in during a difficult financial period for the country & offered to provide for all. He also played the “Us Vs. Them” angle as Obama has done with his class battles. If you look at old videos of Germany, you can see women swooning as Adolf drove by. If anyone spoke out against Hitler, they were berated ejected from the area, just like Obama’s union thugs have done on his behalf. Hitler declared war on the Jews & blamed all the country’s ills upon them. Obama has done the same for the Rich. Hopefully the US will not go down the dark path that Germany did, but each day, that hope fades a little bit more.
  
  Oh, one more similarity, The Weimar Republic brought hyper-inflation to the German people. Obama says “we have no spending problem” as we borrow more and more and print money like there is no tomorrow. Will we see an $8 Million loaf of bread? “Yes we can!”

  I believe we will need to stay informed the next four years, and stand together! EHUD BARAK: I should tell you honestly that this administration under President Obama is doing, in regard to our security, more than anything that I can remember in the past. … In terms of the support for our security, the cooperation of our intelligence, the sharing of sorts in a very open way even when there are differences.
SHIMON PERES: When I look at the record of President Obama concerning the major issues, security, I think it’s a highly satisfactory record, from an Israeli point of view.

Some people have the vocabulary to sum up things in a way you can understand them, like this quote came from the Czech Republic. Someone over there has it figured out – we have a lot of work to do.

  Where do we start to ‘undo’ Obamaism? Education? No chance. Kindergartners are made to sing his praises. Teachers (and their unions) have become too progressive to change. Higher education is basically 90% Obama. Congress? He’s already bypassing the Constitution and no one in Congress has the balls to take the fight to him. The media? If it weren’t for Fox News and the internet, no one on earth would even know of those who oppose him. It has already been whispered, but reality is that Obama will eventually push to make a Constitutional Amendment so that he can run indefinitely, and there is no one anywhere who WILL stop him. Guess what that leaves to oppose him? Gun owners and religion. Hang on, America. The worst is still to come.

  Richauthor: You are right. There are fewer ways by which the people can redress their grievances. Not only that, but we have constitutional disagreements that can never be solved by compromise. Abortion is no longer a political issue; it is a civil war issue. The same is true of the Second Amendment rights as well as those of the First Amendment. There are certain Christian doctrines that simply aren’t negotiable. No I will not driven into the confines of a church in order to speak of Christ. I will go where I can, when I can and speak the truth of the Gospel when the opportunity arises, on public or private property. I will never stop speaking against abortion as a denial of the fundamental right to life as outlined in the Declaration. I will not be muzzled by intimidation by the left; I will speak political speech, no matter who is offended and no matter who tries to shut me up. I’ve gone to jail for these things before–I will do it again if need be. If things continue to go as they seem to be going, at some point I may be forced to take up arms in defense of my individual rights as expounded in the Declaration and the Constitution. I hope that day never comes, but we are quickly approacing the tipping point.

Now we enter the second regime of O, with a number of issues still not resolved: 1- Benghazi, Amb Stevens murder along with 3 other Americans. 2- Fast and Furious and the murder of Agent Brian Terry. 3-Ft. Hood Massacre a terrorist act by one terrorist Major Nadal, to this day has not been brought to trial. Killings took place on 11/5/09. No justice, unfreakin believable. I know I am leaving plenty out in what is wrong with O and his administration, but I think you all would agree this administration doesn’t give a damn about these three incidents.
There is going to be a 4th, what will this administration do about the recent murders of three American workers in Algeria?
Fellow Americans we live in the most dangerous time because the enemy of Freedom is already inside the borders of our Country. Over the last 50 years we have allowed politicians to take our Freedoms away. Politicians are a cancer on our Freedom, because they love their personal power more than, what is right to the path of prosperity and Freedom we once knew.
I am sad to think, that I live in a time when 10-20 years from now, I may not recognize the government of the USA. Sad, so very sad.

  What I find amazing is how everyone is attempting to make the comparison of Obama and Lincoln. What truly are any of the parallels?
  
  I think Lincoln emancipated the Slaves, and Obama has enslaved us all to Government.
  Lincoln was from Illinois and Obama is from Hawaii.
  Lincoln governed by conscience, Obama by poll.
  Lincoln used ideas to form his conscience, Obama uses “strawmen”.

  @Freedom, Off the top of my head a couple of EO’s he signed (not discussed by the media) the fed would take over everything. Food, means of production, even forced labor from us civilians in an emergency. He’s a militant authoritarian that supports wealth distribution, a strong centralized federal government, a heavily regulated market, an economic model developed by a Fabian socialist, and all for “social justice” or for the benefit of the collective at the expense of the individual. While I’d actually classify him as a socialist rather than a Bolshevik, but the only difference between the two is one achieves it’s goals through voting and the other violence. Oh and let’s not forget Government Motors…. Come on, man it’s obvious. Even his rhetoric wreaks of Marxism, like the “collective action” remark above.

  JUSTANGRY – I have not seen a SINGLE executive order that he has signed that is in any way illegal or not authorized by Congress. Bush 1 made similar executive orders regarding guns after a streak of gun violence during his term. Could you possibly imagine if this President sent the military in to break a strike the way Reagan did to break the air traffic controller strike (which I’m not complaining about BTW).
  
  I have absolutely no idea what executive orders you are talking about. Absolutely none. And you think, with all of the people in Congress that tried desperately to get him out of office, that NONE of them would point out these illegal executive orders?
  
  Collective action (meaning the nation coming together to act on an issue) and Collectivism (government seizure of property) are two entirely different things – is the word “collective” never supposed to be used again? You conspiracy theorists reach for straws on everything, and when one conspiracy theory fails, there’s always another whacky one to replace it. When is the game over? When do you find out you are just flat out WRONG?

  Yeah, I’m no fan of the GOP either. So, the “well Bush did it too” argument doesn’t hold water with me. There’s no authorization in the Constitution for executive orders and it is very specific on who is supposed to make laws. Obama’s ‘so called’ greatest achievement, the ACA, is socialized medicine and you’re arguing he’s not a Marxist? Give it a rest.

Nobody could be as inept as Obama, without it being a plan to intentionally destroy us. Just consider: he has allowed Iran and it’s terrorist allies 4 years of nuclear advancement; he stood idly by as radical Islamist forces have begun to create an Axis of Islam across the world. He destroyed the US auto industry, and media won’t tell you it the debt for GM and Chrysler will ever be paid off. He has no, NONE interest in growing our economy or jobs. So much BS spew from his mouth and guys like Biden that it’s hard to get the remote fast enough when they do come on the news. They are a 7/24 wrecking crew.

  @Freedom, It’s basically state run media because of the law passed authorizing the state to legally use propaganda on us. Between the corporatists system we’re running and CFR membership of all the power players in the media and government, the lack of research and skepticism from the media, etc. it’s obvious that in this crony system the two entities are in cahoots with one another. The best example is how the media didn’t cover the 2012 defense spending bill when it stripped us of our right to due process. A free and independent press would be all over a story about our government voiding a right we’ve enjoyed since 1215 and the Magna Carta. However, nary a peep out of the media for something so huge and important? Military being able to arrest American citizens and detain them indefinitely violating posse comitatus? Even Fox gave him a pass on this because of the bipartisan support for the bill.

I take comfort in the fact that, though there may be a few million Tea Party members who have no freakin clue what words mean or what is going on, there are tens and tens of millions more sane people in this country. The kind that packed D.C. today to watch Obama, in his second inauguration, after his second election that got more than 50% of the vote.

  Keaton & Freedom are right, old Barry is clearly much more of a fascist. You can call it what you want but forcing people to purchase health insurance, basically taxing them for living, is about as un-American as you can get. Socialism is progressive and transitional, a stepping stone to communism, and is best delivered in small doses rather than forced. So I see taking over GM, screwing the bondholders and breaking contract law in the process, as a step toward socialism. Same with the bank bailouts and Obamacare. Then there’s taxing the rich, the top 25% of earners pay about 85% of the federal taxes collected, to give to those that include the lazy and the greedy who have done nothing to earn it. I see all of that as inching toward socialism. I see completely demonizing the opposition, shoving Obamacare down our throats, and trying to rule by exuctive order as blatantly fascist. By the way, being highly educated and residing in a blue state=being highly indoctinated and devoid of common sense.

He said to watch and see who he put in office and we would know who he is so: A admitted Card caring Communist, a man who blames a Tax software for not paying his taxes in charge of our taxes, A convicted Terrorist and a hate monger as his best friend and teacher as well as a hate spewing “preacher.” What other president has allowed the death of one of its ambassadors? They had 9 hours to respond but refused aid that was available at a moments notice thereby allowing a Marine to be killed. Tell us again why you love this president?   The USA has been dead or on life support for some time now. The only thing keeping the chest rising and falling are artificial machines. Those artificial machines get more expensive to run every day, every hour, and sooner or later the countries paying the bills (China, private banks, etc) will quit funding those machines (debt) and that will be all she wrote, and we’ll be left with a rotting corpse. Hopefully where ever she is, America has found a happy place in the after life. May she rest in peace.
