Who Sat Where at the Inauguration? Cool Interactive Seating Chart Lets You Figure It Out

During all the fanfare of the presidential inauguration Monday in Washington, D.C., the cameras focused closely on the players of the day, potentially making it difficult for viewers at home to take in the big picture.

You’re in luck. The New York Times developed an interactive photo-graphic that shows you exactly who sat where during Obama’s address in front of the Capitol building.

As with any important event, seating placement is often telling. Everyone has their own seating cliques — family members, senators, representatives, governors, mayors, performers. But is the section where actress Eva Longoria is sitting significant? We’ll let you be the judge of that.

The Washington Post too has a photo-graphic that has even more capabilities. You can zoom around the image (even out into the crowd in front of the stage on the Mall and tag people in the picture on Facebook.

Who cares where people sat? People should be more concerned with the communistic idiology and where we are going. I haven’t noticed any articles in the relationship of dictators (Hitler, Lenin, Mousolini, Stalin, Mao, Castro and Chevas) agendas and how they came to power in comparison to Obummers idiology and agenda. It is mind blowing. I know the article would be a little long but it is an eye opener and should be brought out to the public. We need to step up and defend what so many of us veteran patriots have given our life and years to defend and uphold.

  Funny, as LIberal as I am, and as much as I disagreed with George W. Bush, I remember the first time I saw Marine One lift off the White House lawn and fly towards the Jefferson Memorial. It was a thrilling moment to realize the President was that close to me, even if it was Bush. I’ve watched most of the Inaugurals since Carter’s in 1977. And most of the State of the Union speeches, too. It doesn’t matter who the President is, he’s still the President. You respect the Office if not the man.
