Angry Clinton Explodes at Questioning on Libya Protest: ‘We Have Four Dead Americans…What Difference at This Point Does It Make?’

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton erupted at Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) during his questioning Wednesday over whether there were protests in Benghazi, Libya before the deadly assault on the U.S. diplomatic mission.
Johnson was insisting that the American people were “misled” about protests that supposedly occurred over an anti-Islam video, similar to those that had taken place at the U.S. Embassy in Cairo hours earlier on Sept. 11, 2012. It was later determined there had been no protests in Benghazi and the assault was labeled a terrorist attack.
“Do you disagree with me that a simple phone call to those evacuees to determine what happened would have ascertained immediately that there was no protest?” Johnson asked Clinton during the Senate Foreign Relations Committee hearing. “That was a piece of information that could have been easily, easily obtained, within hours if not days.”
“Senator, when you’re in these positions, the last thing you want to do is interfere with any other process going on — ” Clinton started to answer.
” — I realize that’s a good excuse,” Johnson cut in.
“Well, no, it’s the fact,” Clinton said sharply, adding that there are questions being raised “even today” about what precisely happened in Benghazi.
She continued, “Now, we have no doubt they were terrorists, they were militants, they attacked us, they killed our people. But what was going on and why they were doing what they were doing, is still — ”
“No, no, no, again, again — we were misled that there were supposedly protests and then something sprang out of that, an assault sprang out of that and that was easily ascertained that that was not the fact and the American people could have known that within days,” Johnson said. “And they didn’t know that.”
“With all respect, the fact is we have four dead Americans was it because of a protest or was it because of guys out for a walk one night who decided they’d go kill some Americans,” Clinton shouted. “What difference at this point does it make? It is our job to figure out what happened and do everything we can to prevent it from ever happening again, senator.”

The “difference” it makes Mrs Clinton is that you chose to back a lie about the death of four Americans and doubled down on it by costing the tax payer as well. Is your department incompetent or dishonest Mrs Clinton? What are you doing at the state department that keeps you so under-informed that you will take out ads in foreign countries apologizing for offenses that never took place?

The State department goons who were forced to “resign” were just reassigned. No one in the White house will be responsible. What exactly will happen? Nothing. The most this does is waste their time forcing them to respond to it. It’ll likely happen again, as well, since now there is blood in the water. The perpetrators are off killing more Americans in Algeria.

You’re absolutely right! I suppose at the end of the day it matters so we can definitively say that this administration used the deaths of 4 Americans to promote their agenda of blaming Whites for shaming Muslims into such a fury that they had no choice to commit mass murder.
So, by my count, these 4 dead Americans should be placed in the death toll of the first 9/11 attack, except they were exploited by Obama and his ilk for personal and political gain.
These people are disgusting, shameful trolls who claim to represent me all around the world.

However, the administration released information that was not true. They released it as a known fact, however, she makes it sound as if at the time it was unknown. In otherwords, what type of work were they doing there and why was the ambassador there in first place instead of safe at the embassy in tripoli. If you dont ask these questions you will never get to the truth of what happened bc there is obviously a coverup going on and they wont even admit that the “consulate” they keep referring to was actually a cia black site. The consulate was in tripoli.

This is Hillary positioning herself with the liberal media and her liberal friends who, starting tonight on the talking head shows, will portray her as the victim and Senator Johnson and the Republicans as the villain. That’s what this is all about, deflecting attention from the real issues and from Hillary’s role in them and toward the mean “vast right wing conspiracy” Republicans.
She sees her presidential aspirations slipping away because of this matter and knows the only way she can possibly escape this politically, which is all she cares about, is to keep hammering on the point that there are four dead Americans rather than discussing the reasons that they are dead.
In addition, she has never been held to account publicly before. Her Sec of State confirmation hearings were a joke – she never had to answer for her past and her presidential race in 2008 was a joke – the media never held her to account.
She is counting on being anointed the Dem primary winner in 2016 without having to campaign and then counting on the media to get her thru the general election campaign without having to answer for her past. This Benghazi issue messes up that strategy and guys like Cuomo and even Biden now see the door opening for themselves to get the Dem nomination in 2016.
That’s what this is really all about – Hillary trying desperately to hang on to her political future.

Our embassy in Benghazi was attacked and four mission staff including the ambassador himself was killed on her watch after they repeatedly asked for help from the state department.

Hillary of course helped Morsi to broker the cease fire..and the very next day Morsi capitalized on Hillary’s praise of him by seizing more power for himself and the Muslim brotherhood in Egypt. Morsi made Hillary look like a joke. He took more power and saved Hamas’ behind in the process- while Netanyahu was forced to husband his political capital with a confrontational Obama administration.

Check out what Haaretz had to say about this and educate yourself a bit. Attack and subsequent ceasefire stopped Hamas in its tracks. No rocket launches from them lately. Israelis in general praised Sec Hillary for her actions on this one.
Morsi capitalized on it but Middle East is too complex for us to pick winners/losers.

The highest underemployment rate since WWII for four years straight and counting. Skyrocketing debt while Obama plays games with us by counting borrowed money as “spending cuts” all the while adding $6trillion and counting to the deficit himself. Three card monty with the money taken from Medicare and put in Medicaid then called a “spending cut” for Obamacare. Obamacare itself nearly tripling in cost signed into law by the empty chair and the treats don’t even kick in until 2014.
Obama just raised taxes on every tax payer who pays Federal taxes with his “fiscal cliff” debacle.
The middle east in meltdown. Russia laughing at us. The Chinese laughing at us. The Europeans on their knees from the weight of their own entitlement programmes while Obama pushes the same programmes here.
Oh we’re just roaring along aren’t we champ? Bust open the champagne, happy days are here again.

Our last qtr GDP was 3.1%, unemployment trend is going down, our last month deficit was the lowest in the past ten years, health care cost has been increasing at the slowest pace since 1999, our troops are coming home, IBM Google Netflix – all had great results, highest productivity, … Yes we are best!!

Ms. Clinton has acknowledged that there should have been greater security and has said that the government is taking steps to avoid such incidents in the future. Whether or not there was a protest that got out of hand, or a deliberately planned terrorist attack, and how the attack was presented to the public in the days and weeks after, are completely irrelevant–unless all you care about is scoring political points.

Amazing how legally fastidious you can be about the video producer’s arrest, and yet claim a govt. can act with impunity by simply promising to take steps to avoid “such incidents” in the future.
Not so fast, Mr. Hack. Barack & Gang are just as accountable for their negligence and wrongdoing as that small-time producer. Once a govt. is able to shrug off its corrupt behavior, freedom has gone out the window. That’s why it matters.
This admin breached existing protocol, repeatedly refused to provide security after two lesser attacks on the consulate, disregarded Israeli and Libyan intel regarding an impeding attack on 9/11, and watched a live feed of the attack for seven hours and did not move a finger. When the ordeal was over, they redacted or hid all the proof, including the drone video, and went out and lied to the American public.
Those are the facts, and in a free country, heads would have rolled, starting at the top. We no longer have a free country. That’s why it matters, you fool.
