Hillary Clinton Explains Why the Four State Dept. Employees Blasted for Leadership Failures in Benghazi Report Were Not Fired

During Wednesday’s House hearing on Benghazi, Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-Fla.) pressed Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to explain why the four State Department employees cited for leadership failures prior to the attack were only placed on administrative leave and not fired.

“First, all four individuals have been removed from their jobs,” Clinton began. “Secondly, they have been placed on administrative leave. Thirdly, Ambassador Pickering and Admiral Mullen highlighted the reason why this has been so complicated. Under federal statute and regulations, unsatisfactory leadership is not grounds for finding a breach of duty.”

“Fourth, I have submitted legislation to this committee and to the Senate committee to fix this problem so future ARBs (Accountability Review Board) will not face this situation. Because I agree with you, there ought to be more leeway given to the ARBs.”

A previous report by the New York Post revealed that the State Department employees who “resigned” remained on the government payroll.

Assistant Secretary of State Eric Boswell has not “resigned” from government service and will merely be switching desks, according to officials. The other three officials were placed on administrative leave and are expected to return to work soon.

Four Americans, including U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens, were killed in Benghazi when armed terrorists raided a U.S. compound in Libya. The attack was originally blamed on a protest sparked by an anti-Muslim YouTube video. However, an Accountability Review Board found that version to be completely false. The board’s report blamed the attack on terrorists alone and found there was not demonstration outside the U.S. Mission prior to the attack.

How convenient the federal statute and regulations are!
You may be a terrible leader, but it won’t be considered as “a breach of duty”!
How nice! And you’ll still keep your full salary. Wow!
Is that really so, or it’s just an interpretation of those regulations by the Ambassador Pickering and Admiral Mullen?
I think that if it’s “an interpretation,” then such an interpretation is already a good reason for both of them to be fired.
But if it’s the “federal statute and regulations,” then their authors must be fired, too. Simply because it’s an open corruption.

Ms. Clinton, and correct me if I’m wrong, doesn’t understand her history to well. I copied below what I saw from the Press release today, and given this statement, is she still protecting her husband regarding an incident that happened on his watch?

“CLINTON: We are in for a struggle. But it is a necessary struggle. We cannot permit northern Mali to become a safe haven. People say to me all the time, “Well, AQIM hasn’t attacked the United States.” Well, before 9/11/2001, we hadn’t been attacked on our homeland since I guess the War of 1812 and Pearl Harbor. This is not only a terrorist syndicate, it is a criminal enterprise. So make no mistake about it, we’ve got to have a better strategy and I would hope we’d have not only a strategy that understands, you know, making it possible for these governments to defend themselves better, for people to understand and agree with us that these terrorists are not in any way representative of their values, but that we can bolster democracy and try to give these Arab revolutions a real chance to succeed.”

The original World Trade Center attack happened in the year 1993. That was a terrorist attack that was on the “Clinton watch”.

She stated “I guess” regarding “attacks” US soil. How convenient to forget the 1993 attack, however, we know how liberals always rewrite history. Also, if you really “suck” at history, please don’t “guess” when discussing Americans who died to preserve our Rights!

Now, let us remind you Madam Secretary that the “investigation” that produced the ARB was an INTERNAL investigation, precisely why it is common to request and WANT an external investigation so that you don’t wind up with these wimpy “did not violate their office” reassignments, and precisely why we wound up with a report that didn’t hold anyone accountable. SO, don’t blame the ARB (your investigation) for not giving YOU the power to do what others are now angry you didn’t do, namely fire anyone responsible. Bet the ARB didn’t question Obama in his role in this and it certainly didn’t lay any blame at your feet unless that is what you tripped over and gave yourself the Benghazi concussion.

Obviously it is not a problem for a politician to lie to the public, in fact, it’s okay! That having been said, it is illegal for a citizen of our country to lie to Congress, The FBI. The Senate. Blah, blah, blah.

To clarify this, just look at it like this. It is okay for liars to lie to anyone. A U.S. citizen will go to jail, if he or she lies to one of the liars…who we pay to run our country.

This whole hearing with hillary is a charade by the ruling class to make us feel they are doing something. In reality they are letting hillary lie through her teeth. Republicans and democrats alike have asked few questions that really get to the meat of the matter. Rand Paul did a good job and jumper her lying azz….but no one else did. She has lied under oath and they can prove it. YOU lie under oath to Congress and see what happens to you…..,yet she is getting away with it. They have her on video saying one thing and now she tells them the opposite. Let’s see if the Republicans have any testicles at all. I don’t expect anything worth while from the Demo/socialists. They are protecting her. Clintons lie and they lie under oath.
