Jake Tapper: Clinton’s ‘What Difference Does It Make?’ Remarks Will Come Back to Haunt Her in 2016

CNN’s newest anchor Jake Tapper thinks Hillary Clinton’s potential 2016 opponents already have some new material for attack ads.

In a heated moment during her Benghazi testimony on Wednesday, the secretary of state lost her cool and hollered her response following a series of questions posed by Republican Sen. Ron Johnson of Wisconsin.

“With all due respect, the fact is we have four dead Americans. Was it because of a protest or was it because of guys out for a walk one night who decided they’d go kill some Americans,” Clinton shouted during the hearing. “What difference at this point does it make?”

CNN host Anderson Cooper on Wednesday night asked Tapper whether or not the hearing would have any impact on her future political career, especially if she decided to run for president in 2016.

“I think that the quote of hers that you just played, ‘What difference does it make at this point?’ is ready for a campaign commercial,” Tapper said.

“I think that will be used against her and certainly it comes across as more glib than I think — if she could go back and revise and extend those remarks she would have,” he added.

The footage could be used by a Republican opponent like Gov. Chris Christie or even by a Democrat like current Vice President Joe Biden, according to Tapper.

  Individual US military services assignments does not necessarily always indicate foreign affairs expertise. Some serve stateside all their careers, and focus on the physics of radar surveillance.

I disagree. If President Obama’s “you didn’t build that” comment didn’t affect the voters…. this comment certainly will not. She could have confessed that she had killed someone who tried to tell the truth about Bengazi, admitted she was a hermaphrodite, choked her dog to death, etc. and the uneducated electorate on the left would still vote for her.

  I agree. If we had a media that was objective then this would play out but when you have a media that is bias and unconditionally supports the administration no matter what it does, these words will be blurred to the American public. The only words you will here is that the Republicans did not fund the security request, its their fault.

And like us, I too am frustrated daily – you know, becuse that there is HOW THEY KEEP WINNING over us thinkers/patriots and such. She and the President trotted out there and lied knowing d@mn well that this was a terrorist attack and not about a video. They lied to the electorate, lied to foreign dignataries, lied to the press and most importantly lied to the parents of those who died!! —and it doesn’t matter? They could have Hillary on video leading the attack on the embassy and dragging Chris Stevens’ dead body through the streets of Benghazi and she would still win the 2016 election. The bloody committee gave her a pass. She was not pushed on anything. Period…

She gave the GS12 typical response of, we have the audit of findings and we implemented corrective action for those findings so future occurrences will be mitigated. Old crap from the 80′s…impressive if you are not part of the farm. Not so if you are part of the farm. Seemed like weak sauce to me.

This so called process, the one outlined by Hillary, is more for the manufacturing of a bloody car…not for responding to a crisis and blaming security and funding…the latter is BS bureaucracy that can we walked around by those who can waive the requirements. The federal government took on Deming TQM and began using it back in the late 80′s and into the future. They apply manufacturing improvement process steps for paperwork and to bureaucracy…when in fact they can waive requirements under an EMERGENCY…

Stevens was missing ? you say you didn’t have real time video BS in the 5 hr Stevens was missing you had plenty of time to get a drone up there, and during the time Amb Stevens was missing why didn’t you send Marines in there to find him, this commitee let her off as usual only 1 thing was said right by Ran Paul she should have been relieved of duty but then again she couldn’t let BHO look bad just before the election,
