KKK Recruiting Fliers Found in Covington, GA Driveways Spark Police Investigation

COVINGTON, Ga. (TheBlaze/AP) — Residents of a Covington, Ga., neighborhood were in for a surprise this morning when they found fliers encouraging them to join the Ku Klux Klan; the leaflets were placed at the end of their driveways. Sheriff’s officials in the Atlanta area are investigating whether any laws were broken when the KKK invites were placed outside homes.

Newton County sheriff’s Deputy Courtney Morrison says the fliers are being reviewed to make sure they don’t contain any inappropriate information or threats. The Newton Citizen reports that the fliers included a drawing of a robed klansman standing in front of a tree with writing that said, “Join the KKK – Loyal White Knights.”

CBS Atlanta reports that police collected more than 30 of the fliers that were folded and packed into plastic sandwich bags and tossed at the end of driveways in the Covington area. Covington is about 35 miles southeast of Atlanta.

A man claiming to be a Imperial Wizard told the outlet that the Covington neighborhood was just one of many between New York and Florida that received the messages encouraging residents to join the KKK. CBS Atlanta reached the individual, who goes by the name Chris Barker, after they called a North Carolina-based phone number that was present on the document.

While clearly not content that they were targeted for recruitment, neighbors had some intriguing reactions. Abdul-Mateen, for one, seemed mildly annoyed.

“They need to get a life, I mean really,” Abdul-Mateen said of the KKK. “I’m hoping it had nothing to do with President Barack Obama being re-elected.”

Wendy Lozynski, another neighbor, noted that the situation is “embarrassing.” She highlighted that she has taught her kids “not to hate” and expressed surprise at the KKK’s tactics.

Why is the KKK needed? Under this administration consider the following:
Half of all black babies in the US are aborted, by choice.
The half that makes it out will by a large margin grow up in a single parent household and in poverty.
Unemployment for blacks as a whole is above 12%. For young black males it is at 30%.
Some cities hold the distinction of having more kids in prison than graduating high school.
Drugs and disease run rampant.
Welfare laws are set up to punish any achievement as well as marriage. So any type of forward movement is shut off by the government.
ALL of the prominent leaders fight for the status quo.
If you are black you are more likely to be a victim of crime, do drugs, drop out of college or high school, be incarcerated and live in poverty than any other group in the US.
The entire black social structure is set against education and achievement. It is known as, “acting white” or “selling out”. What is encouraged is “keepin it real”…violence, drug use and ignorance are celebrated.

It has been DECADES since the black community has been pushed so far back and had so little hope, yet they vote for their slave lords in droves.

So again, tell me, what could the KKK do that Obama has not achieved or is achieving now already? If anything, I see the KKK as losing members due to lack of anything to do beyond what Democrats are doing now. The black man is celebrating his own demise. Nothing to do but sit back and watch.

As of May, 2012, black on black murder rates are at an all time high. 7,000 blacks are murdered every year and 94% of those murders are committed by other blacks. Even though blacks make up 13% of the population they comprise 50% of murder victims. RE: globalgrind.com/news. If the KKK were responsible for the carnage the Obots would be marching in the streets en masse. They turn a blind eye to it because if they face the truth they may have to address the failure of all their policies, and, God forbid, make some changes.

  If you are going to use statistics, use them honestly. Caucasians are the largest majority of people within the U.S. It is only logical that the number of Caucasians on welfare would be the largest. People do not like to use the statistics that show welfare recipients as a percentage of population. Asians and Caucasians are the only major groups that draw welfare at a rate lower than their overall rate of population. In my state, non-Caucasians make up a little over 18% of the population and receive over 23% of the government subsidies.

  Delivering flyers is part of the 1st Amendment. The KKK has as much right to deliver flyers as the DNC or any other group. You may not like the KKK but the 1st Amendment is not intended to protect popular speech its protects unpopular speech.

I would imagine it’s far more illegal for the Black Panthers to hold regular podcasts where they literally call for the deaths of white people. But that’s just me, I’m not a lawyer or a cop or anyone who’s opinion matters in Obamaland.

That’s silly to suggest the NRA join the KKK if you recall history you will remember that blacks and other minorities were not allowed to own guns and were unable to defend themselves against the violence of the KKK. It was the NRA who stepped in to help them and stood up for the right of EVERY person to own a gun.

I am no fan of the KKK but what what law did they break? Why is everyone so afraid of them but not the NBPP? Has the KKK put a bounty on the head of anyone recently like the NBPP’S did G. Zimmerman or interfered with voters at polling places? Has any KKK member publicly stated that they need to kill black babies, again like the NBPP has done?

Apparently if you are from the north and black it is fine to be a hate mongering, racist organization spouting hate. Just don’t be white and from the south. That is when folks get upset.

  Likely because the scope of their crimes. The KKK has killed almost 2000 people, and injured tens of thousands or more since its beginnings in the 1800s. The Black Panthers killed perhaps a dozen, almost all of them police exchanging mutual gunfire that ended up with the BP members getting shot as well.
  
  Both groups are bad news, and the NBP are just recalling the dangerous ghost of the old group. Likely these Klansmen are doing the same (the last proven KKK lynching was in 1981, although there have been other killings done by KKK members since then, though not necessarily by order of the Klan itself).
  
  Nowadays the Klan is pretty much considered physically toothless; the more violent members have gone to ground or formed splinter groups.

  See, you’re attempting to change the definition of “racism” in order to make it apply to ONLY the majority race. That’s wrong in most contexts; racism is simply discriminating based on race. One doesn’t need to wield power over someone else to make racist comments.
  
  That said, government should only enact policies against institutional racism (that is, against formal legally-instituted racist policies). By and large this has been accomplished. Combatting social racism is something that individuals need to do; the government doesn’t have a place in doing so.

one of the most common professions you encounter people like that in is Law enforcement and military so its sometimes a bit risky to call the police on that.

  What? You are actually saying that the military and police departments are filled with KKK members? I retired from the Army 16 years ago, and was a civilian police officer. I have never met anybody in either who expressed that they were members or had any desire to be. Quick way to lose either job.

It figures. The Black Panthers publicly make death threats and put bounties on peoples heads and not a cop in America will lift a finger. The Klan sends out a paperboy to deliver recruitment flyers and the brave men in law eforcement rush to investigate what crimes that may have broken. I bet theyve never investigated NBP activity in GA though. Doesnt the Klan have the same free speech rights as the NBP?
