Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Wednesday appeared before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee hearing to testify about the 2012 attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, that left four men dead, including U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens.

And although Clinton’s testimony offered very little in the area of new information, a notable moment occurred when Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wisc.) repeatedly asked whether the attack was carried out by an organized group of terrorists or whether it was a spontaneous riot — as the White House initially claimed.

“[W]e were misled that there were supposedly protests and then something sprang out of that, an assault sprang out of that and that was easily ascertained that that was not the fact and the American people could have known that within days,” Sen. Johnson said. “And they didn’t know that.”

Clinton was not happy with his line of questioning.

“With all respect, the fact is we have four dead Americans was it because of a protest or was it because of guys out for a walk one night who decided they’d go kill some Americans,” Clinton responded.

“What difference at this point does it make? It is our job to figure out what happened and do everything we can to prevent it from ever happening again, senator,” she added.

Unsurprisingly, many right-leaning pundits and analysts responded to Clinton’s “what difference does it make?” line with anger and shock, but perhaps the strongest reaction came from conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh.

“This is flat-out bullsh*t! What did she do to save anybody? Can anyone cite a single thing? She didn’t do anything to save anybody!” Limbaugh said, challenging her claim that she did everything in her power to help Ambassador Stevens. “The ‘difference’ is that you were lying through your teeth about it, Mrs. Clinton, and you knew it!”

“What difference does it make the administration lied to the American people? What difference does it make the president lied to the American people? What difference does it make Jay Carney lied to the American people? What difference does it make that Susan Rice lied to the American people on six different shows (or five)? What difference does it make that Hillary Clinton lied to the American people?

“What difference does any of it make?” he stressed.

The conservative radio host continued in the vein, challenging Clinton’s flippant tone and reprimanding the Senate Foreign Relations Committee for spending more time heaping praise on her than asking tough questions about the September, 11, 2012 attack.

There’s a movie “best little whorehouse in Tx” where the gov sings about politics as “dance a little sidestep”. That actor died this year. But I think about that when I see hillbilly today acting all outraged that anyone would dare question her about Benghazi. She is in it deep but the Clinton’s are very proficient in denial & hope that their friends will cover up for them.
We can only hope that some whistleblower will have the balls to stand up & let the truth come out.
We certainly didn’t get any truth from her today.

  EXACTLY what I thought about her testimony: Evasive, side-stepping…crocodile tears, then fiery “righteous” anger with an outburst that made no sense: ” Who cares” coupled with “trying to find out what happened.” How do we know they even had any interest in the truth when they so clearly were pushing talking points?

  Questions that I never heard asked:
  
  1. When you first heard the alarm that your Ambassadot was under attack over the State Department’s secure communications sytem, what exactly did you do in response?
  
  2. What exactly did the President outline as his response to the attack?
  
  3. Why did you tell the father of Ty Woods at the AF base when his son’s body was coming off the plane that the Obama administration would arrest the producer of the video blamed for the entire escapade?
  
  4. Why did your husband immediately hire for you a “dream legal team” to come to your defense when you eventually get charged with treason? Did Bill realize how hot this will eventually get?
  
  5. To further the candid remarks of Senator Paul Rand who established that he, as President, would have fired you for not reading the cables from your ambassador relaying deep safety concerns, I can only add “Mrs. Clinton, have you not a shred of pride, decency or concern for your fellow man?”
  
  As far as someone from the White House situation room or one of the 30 survivors growing a pair and coming forward, I can only offer the following observation. If all of you Blazers ever had any doubt that US troops will one day turn on US citizens when ordered, all you have to do is think about how many military personnel DID NOT do what Woods and Doherty did.

  I didn’t see the hearings but the way Rush describes it is exactly as I would have imagined it. The Republicans spend an hour kissing her royal highness and then cower and tremble like chihuahuas when she throws her little tantrum. Where are the people with backbones who will get to the truth at any cost?! Rand Paul was the only one who showed that he at least has half a spine.

  James Rosen on the O’Reilly Factor said Hillary showed how much more intelligent she was than Congress at the hearing.
  
  Which is more evidence that journalists are dumb and have no business reporting their opinions to an audience that is smarter than they are.
  
  To ask in near-hysteria why it would matter “why” the deaths occurred….as Hillary did….is so stupid as be nearly incredulous.
  
  The purpose of the hearing was to find out why our personnel were killed so that measures could be taken to prevent a similar occurence at a future time. And she thinks why the were killed doesn’t matter? And according to James Rosen she’s smarter than everybody else?
  
  James Rosen is a leftist geek within the ranks of Fox News. He says things like that frequently in order to slant his story to benefit radical liberals while pretending to be unbiased.

I mean if this so called trailer did so much how about a full fledged internationally released (by now) big screen spectacular blockbuster movie. Rush doesn’t qualify as a union thug even if he belongs. You are part of a liberal agenda that thinks that words don’t matter and you can make up meanings as part of a magic act to demonize those who you dislike.   I was driving to work one morning last Spring 2012 and watched a flock of 2 adult geese and a half dozen little baby ones standing at the side of this busy 4 lane,45 mph road(which I travel daily),wondering if and when they should attempt to cross.There are many lakes nearby.A half an hour later,while driving my work truck and starting my daily route,I went by them again to see if they made it across.Maybe the traffic had stopped to let them cross,or someone had got out of their car and physically stopped the traffic,I kinda hoped.Nope
  Splat x 6.Nobody cared.The adults were still at at the curb wandering aimlessly and shreeching at each other.

  I’ve been listening to Mr. Limbaugh for years. In fact I have to credit Mr. Limbaugh for developing my interest in US politics. And initially I actually believe everything he said. Much ado about nothing, nothing to see, move along. Get back to the supposed conspiracies where “they” are up to “something” nefarious. School shooting theories, UFO theories, chemtrail theories, moon landing theories, holocaust theories, mind control theories (not real brainwashing as in schools, nothing to see there, move along), American Idol, Survivor, “Did she lip sync?”, and when you’re tired of all that, get back to your Ipod, Ipad, Iphone, Nintendo, Xbox, Playstation, social medias and so on. Pay NO attention to the real conspiracies which will destroy and are destroying the free man’s way of life. Forget Christian belief, go with Christianism such as a weepy televangelist telling you how to feel (scared, lonely, sad) and then what to buy to assuage your feelings (by all means, DON’T consider real repentance, you want to feel GOOD!).

A good friend of mine (who is a staunch non-believer and yet gives respect to my beliefs or those of others) reminded me when I said there was no way to know whom to believe: “Believe in yourself, know your strengths and weaknesses, change your weaknesses into strengths, never overpower the innocent with your strengths, and keep yourself, your knife, and your gun clean and at the ready. My reply to him in parting was “Keep your powder dry, God keep your aim true”. To which he said with a lopsided smile, “As you like”.

I won’t go into his rant regarding the mess except to remind me one cannot put brains in statues.

I fully believe Cankles cackled herself all the way home following this pseudo-hearing. What a disgusting and demoralizing picture the members of this committee paint. A career liar and outright fraud waltzes into the hearing, puts on a show and makes a room full of our representatives look like a pack of neutered dogs. If the members of the committee lack a sufficient level of testosterone to ask meaningful questions and continue to ask those questions until the question is answered, there is simply no need to ever have one of the dog and pony shows ever again. What a disgrace.

I understand that they are being respectful, but this is the 21st century, the democrats and the media already throw that all out the window. Niceness doesn’t cut it anymore. What ever his motivation is for reminding us on a daily basis that the election was “stolen” from Hillary, you people with this appetite for wives of presidents running for office, you people that get a thrill from the very idea, should understand clearly that there is not a lot stopping Mrs Obama if that is the limit of resistance you are going to throw up, if that is the extent of patting people on the back in Congress who are doing their jobs?

The way Hillary handles this will determine if Mrs. Obama will be able to run for office?

There are a lot of high information voters out there, and they do matter?

It’s never her fault…it’s the non process that she never implemented, it’s the politiical campaign for Obama at it’s peak, it’s that the memos never got to her desk, it’s that someone…anyone at State didn’t let her know. She knew damn well what the situation was before the attack and after, but responding to the threat with real security didn’t fit Obama Arab Spring fantasy. The Obama foreign policy is the cause of these deaths,the rise of terrorism in north Africa, and the death of the Benghazi four, the Algeria 28, and many more to follow. These Marxists are a disaster!

The difference it makes is we want to know not if you lied, but just how bad did you lie. Every damn person in this administration that came out to “inform” the American people, the people THEY answer too lied, lied, and LIED SOME MORE! An employee of mine lies to me one time they hit the unemployment line. This country put our trust in these people to keep us safe and tell the truth. 4 Americans died and we get repeatedly lied to about it. Not only do we get lied to, they spend the money we pay in taxes to put out an apology campaign to islamic ******** that KILLED AMERICANS!!! Anyone and everyone that had a hand in this cluster f*#@ of situation should be relieved of their position and have charges brought up on them. I am so sick of this crap.

From what little I was able to listen to- I am embarrassed for the Repugnican party. With few exceptions- those asking questions needed to grow a set and ask the tough questions. It was sickening to hear them kiss up to her before launching a nerf toss question to her.

It is almost creepy, no serious fight on fiscal cliff, no serious fight on raising the debt ceiling, no hard questions for Hillary- even some of the fresh blood conservatives are not being as vocal… I am starting to wonder if they have something major up their sleeve- or have really just laid down and retired in place.

  I expected, after her supposed concussion, that she would be using “I don’t recall” to answer every question. But it was not to be. The questions were so pathetic, she didn’t have to claim amnesia.
