Anti-War Protester Interrupts John Kerry’s Confirmation Hearing: ‘I’m Tired of My Friends in the Middle East Dying!’

YouTube
A lone female anti-war protester interrupted Secretary of State nominee John Kerry’s Senate confirmation hearing Thursday, shouting about people dying in the Middle East.
“You are killing thousands of people, the Middle East is not a threat to us! When is it going to be enough, when are enough people going to be killed?” the protester, wearing a pink hat and scarf, yelled. “I’m tired of my friends in the Middle East dying, I don’t know if they’re going to be alive the next day!”
After the woman was escorted from the room, Kerry said he “respects” the ability of people to speak out in protest.
“When I first came to Washington and testified I obviously was testifying as part of a group of people who came here to have their voices heard, and that is above all what this place is about,” Kerry said. “I respect, I think, the woman who was voicing her concerns about that part of the world.”

There aren’t enough senators with the ****** in the Senate to vote agains this POS. Remember that this guy supposedly threw his medals over on to the White House lawn but somehow got them back and accused our men of raping and killing women and children reminecent of Genghis Kahn? The chickens really have come home to roost. Kruchev was correct that we would become a Communist country without a shot being fired. McCarthy knew what he was talking about. We had started to get infiltrated with this vermin even that far long ago….. pray for a good cleansing of liberal / progressive / communist / socialist/ democrat party filth and ideas.

If the middle east is no threat to us then who killed 3000 people in New York on September 11, 2001? Who flew a plane into the Pentagon the same day? Who hijacked the aircraft that crashed in a field in PA that same day? Where did Khalid Shiek Mohammed and Bin Laden come from? Latvia? Botswana? Peru? Iceland? The Czech Republic? Missoula, Montana?
Where exactly are these friends of hers that she’s not sure will be alive “the next day’?
We’re not conducting operations in Iraq at this point so who is killing these thousands of friends of hers in “the middle east”? Is she under the impression that Afghanistan is the middle east perhaps?

Is it so difficult to believe that someone could have friends SOMEWHERE in the middle east? Posted on January 24, 2013 at 7:59pmI wasn’t thinking about uncle sam when reading your post.
Funny story about our retention officer. She had been chasing me on my last deployment, as I was scheduled to ETS as I returned back to Fort Campbell. I told her they had to give me a $1,000,000 retention bonus and two stars. Either that, or I was out. Obviously, they weren’t going to accept that offer, which was fine. I wanted out. I was done with all the deployments to unconstitutional, undeclared wars.
So my contract ran out, didn’t re-up. Now I am a free man.
The final straw was when I came home on R&R and my daughter (who was 2 at the time) didn’t have any idea who I was, was scared of me, ran away from me at the airport as I tried to hug her and kiss her. She eventually realized who I was, but that was the final straw. My family means more to me than our never ending wars.
The reason I selected Seperated, was because my first screen name on this site was “American Soldier” when I was in active duty. I “seperated” from active duty, but still had IRR obligations, so I was technically not “discharged” yet, merely separated. I think back when I did this, we were able to select our own screen names or were able to change them one time, something like that. Now, it’s locked it and I don’t feel like making a whole new account that says “discharged” now that my IRR obligations are over.
But yet again…. always attacking me personally rather than the message/argument itself. Isn’t that par

Guess what? You were a “free-man” when you signed on the dotted line. All your choices, and if you were persuaded by someone to enlist and do all the things you did that you now regret, then that is fault of your own ignorance and situations you put yourself into prior to enlisting.
And regards to your personnel life: by enlisting the Army you had no idea that it would dramatically change the course of your life’s events? Had no idea at all? And then you were “shocked” because your daughter didnt know who you were? Sorry, but you don’t sign on the dotted line and think your life is going to be buisness as usual after your signature is in the block.
My final comment to you is this:

seriously, though, i am skeptical at her ‘my friends’ lamentation… she may have known someone who went to fight and who died, but the use of the plural is hyperbole… her friends feel as she does, and would not have volunteered for our Armed Forces… her grasp of the situation is clearly inadequate, but i can guess Kerry gave a grave nod as if she was entirely correct, and we need to be away from the Middle East.
I would agree, but only out of the sad truth that this administration has been flashing ‘run away’ language for a year, and our people who remain are not supported (remember Benghazi) or appreciated (witness the ‘green on blue’ attacks). If we are not going to protect our own and fight the adversary, it is past time to bring our men and women home… NOT because the Middle East ‘is not a threat.’
and that our SecState might share her attitude… her emotional basis for action rather than logic, reason, and fact, is alarming.

Career Politicians have the blood and deaths of our military members all over their hands by controlling and dictating the fight against a foreign enemy when the enemy has a no holds barred fighting mentality. That’s like telling one team it okay to ignore the rules and the other that they have to adhere to all the rules. What kind of dumbass thinking is that? How many of her “friends” died? 3? 10? 1000? can she provide a list of names of her friends who have died? How are her friends dying? Are her friends sick and she is asking the state dept to provide medicine to her friends? Are they being targeted by radical groups in the region? Are they breaking the Islamic law and being sentenced to death, is that how they are dying? Or are they just mentally instable and jumping off a cliff by the thousands? (1) Citizenship is earned by service. A minimum of 2 years.
(2) You must be able to pass the equivalent of a High School GED to earn citizenship.
(3) Only citizens can vote, sit on a jury, be in law enforcement, or hold public office.
(4) A citizen is held to a higher standard, but is also afforded more credibility.

I once thought like you did about citizenship is earned by service. But this is antithesis to freedom and how our constitution was constructed. All men are created equal. You are an American Citizen at birth, to say you have to service (forcefully) in order to gain equality is not what America is about.
I’m all for military service. I’m proud of mine. But to make it a requirement to be considered a citizen, to be afforded rights as a citizen, is NOT freedom and it’s NOT what America is about. What about people who are disabled? People who do not quality for military service? None of them deserve the protection of citizenship?
So is a 5 year old not afforded the same rights as a citizen? Why? Unless you allow them to join and serve for those minimum 2 years, they will not be afforded the protection of citizenship. What if they want to travel abroad?
Logistically, none of what you propose is possible. Not without our nation being a totalitarian dictatorship. Which is where you usually see policies like those you proposed in action…..

Posted on January 24, 2013 at 1:55pmHow about this. Someone born in the USA is afforded every right except for the right to vote, or hold public office. That is a right that is earned through citizenship?
For those that disagree with this on Constitutional Grounds I want to point out to you that the America we live in now is all to ready to give up every freedom, every right, for the bread and circuses that this current adminstration is offering. The majority rules, and if the majority becomes a brain dead, dependent, godless creature with no ambition, then this Republic is over.
Do you realize that if citizenship required any effort, any effort at all, then the voting rolls would be purged by over half? Is it possible that a more responsible and informed voting public would make a considerable difference?
Or is “earned” citizenship just another road to hell?
Because honestly gentlemen, I think the road we are on looks pretty bad to me.
