City Council Member Stuns Black Reporter: ‘Should We Deport You Back to Kenya With Obama?’

Rapid City Alderman Apologizes for Suggesting Black Reporter Be Deported Back to Kenya With Obama

(TVSpy)

Rapid City Alderman Bill Clayton has apologized to a black KOTA-TV reporter for asking if she should “be deported…back to Kenya with Obama” and questioning whether she was an “American.”

The incident reportedly occurred in August after KOTA-TV reporter Taisha Walker phoned Clayton and asked him how he planned to vote on a proposed property tax increase. Clayton apparently responded to her question with another question, asking her how she planned to vote in the presidential election.

Then he followed up with a few more: “Should we deport you back to Kenya with Obama? Are you even an American; are you American?”

Walker then filed a complained with the city. It was the second complaint filed against Clayton, who was also being investigated by city council for comments he made about a fellow council member, according to KOTA-TV.

Clayton claims he never watches KOTA-TV and did not know Walker was African-American.

“I apologize to the KOTA reporter, I apologize to everybody on this council for any discord that I might have caused, I apologize to the city staff who had to spend their valuable time taking care of this, I apologize to the citizens of Rapid City (South Dakota),” Clayton said at a city council meeting on Tuesday.

He also said, just four months later, he is a changed man and has learned from his “baptism by fire.”

No further action will be taken by the city council.

Sometimes I think The Blaze posts these stories just to race bait their readers.
This story is about a council member in city with a population of 70k and its six months old

You pretty much know the type of comments you’re going to get here.
    So what’s really the point.

As for the “birther” thing, the CLINTONS started that. I’m sure you’ll remember that come 2016.

“He said that he didn’t know she was black, although she was a TV personality in a small town. That would make him a liar and a racist.”

No, if he didn’t know she was black, that would make him unaware that she was black, simple as that. Not everyone watches TV so not everyone would know whom she was. And, even in a “small town”, he could easily be unaware of whom she was. (I contend that 70,000 is NOT a small town as I come from a town with a population of 453). Further, assuming he DID know whom she was, that would not make him a racist. Insinuating she may have been born in Kenya is not a racist comment. If he told her to get her n*gg3r a55 back to Kenya, THEN it would be racist.

“He’s also a member of a local group called the “wing nuts.” Figures. This guy is not different than you average Tea Party birther.”

No, your average Tea Party birther is not a wing nut. I know many and they are mainstream people. Birthers believe how they do due to all the evidence that shows the birth cert. thus far presented may well be a fake. Too many Adobe ‘experts’ claim it’s layered thus pointing towards a fake. When the State of Hawaii can produce an authentic birth cert for obama and allow someone to actually view it, we will change our belief. Even their own government couldn’t find it, so that alone is quite interesting.
For some reason, obama wants to perpetuate this, thus he is suspect.

Race did not matter to them, which is why Mother Teresa and her convent vowed lives of poverty to coexist among the lower classes of India.

Race did not matter to Lincoln either, he was against slavery of human beings. Slavery as a concept is colorblind, but our modern sensibilities can only conjure up dark skin when we think of slavery, due to (relatively) recent history.

I don’t know about Ghandi, but he seems alright with whitey.

And MLK wanted “black men and white men, Jews and Gentiles” to coexist equally, not one above the other, or one people with special protection to become the envy of the other. http://quotations.about.com/od/stillmorefamouspeople/a/martinluther1.htm

No, I do not know that. I know that released versions of his birth certificate appear fake. I do not know that anyone who is talking has seen the actual cert. I further recall that the Hawaii Governor Neil Abercrombie said a long-form, hospital-generated birth certificate for Barack Obama may not exist within the vital records maintained by the Hawaii Department of Health. Hmm… wonder why? Did he find something after that that I missed? If so, please enlighten me with FACTUAL information.

“I don’t read many the posts here to be honest, but in my memory I don’t associate your username either with imbecile or wingnut. What’s your deal? Double secret reverse troll?”

You should read Guns, Germs and Steel if you’d like a fascinating read of why different races ended up at different spots in Industrialization. I agree that many whites have been brainwashed. They are the useful idiots! Communists have guaranteed that through dismantling Americanism in our schools.

When people lift themselves from being poor to the middle class, however, race does not become a problem. If you climb the economic ladder under your own power, you are more likely to fit into a solid, safe middle-class neighborhood. We have many solid, middle-class blacks in our neighborhood who have climbed the ladder to a more successful life. There are no racial animosities that I can see.

That, however, is not the way progressives see it. Obama, B Boxer, Feinstein, Lautenberg, Schumer, R Blumenthal, J Schankowski, D W Schultz, M Bloomberg, R Emanuel….they all have an agenda to finish. Before that there was Trotsky and Marx. From those two grew Stalin. Remember Anita Dunn? She just LOVES Mao.

Let us not forget the “foundations”…Ford, Rockefeller, Carnegie, etc. Oh, I almost forgot the UN and all the NGO’s working to implement Agenda 21.

Darwin said it best before the ‘ PC ‘ ( cannot tell the truth if it might hurt someones feelings ) crap – Since the dawn of history the blackman has owned the continent of Africa – rich beyond the dream of poet’s fancy, crunching acres of diamonds beneath his bare black feet and yet he never picked one up from the dust until a white man showed to him its glittering light.
His land swarmed with powerful and docile animals, yet he never dreamed a harness, cart, or sled. A hunter by necessity, he never made an axe, spear, or arrowhead worth preserving beyond the moment of its use. He lived as an ox, content to graze for an hour. In a land of stone and timber he never sawed a foot of lumber, carved a block, or built a house save of broken sticks and mud.
With league on league of ocean strand and miles of inland seas, for four thousand years he watched their surface ripple under the wind, heard the thunder of the surf on his beach, the howl of the storm over his head, gazed on the dim blue horizon calling him to worlds that lie beyond, and yet he never dreamed a sail.” — Charles Darwin

Actually, I did a little research due to your comment.

I don;t see what party he’s in, Democrat or Republican. Can you provide a link?

If not, in the interest of fairness, I’d ask that you at find a way to indicate that you’re just wise cracking.

Clayton Don’t you know you have no freedom of speech in my new Amerika? Blacks are a protected class and you’re just a white male, you’re on you’re way out. You haven’t learned by now that us blacks,I say us because the masses think I’m black can say anything we want about whites with no repercussions? Look at Don Imus,he made a remark and got fired,Al Sharpton led the persecution of Imus and ole Al’s a coke head race baiting shakedown artist almost as good at it as Jackson. But Al’s in the protected class so he can say and do anything. As for you and all the other white males, not so much,no you’re time is over here and my regime will see to it you’re all homeless and starving.

Cue the crazies who will try to spin this so that it’s not the the council member who is racist, but the reporter.

this fool should not be in office, even if he does recognize the dangerous things being done by our President… irrational, and i belive intentionally racist statements only HURT the cause of conservatism…

quoting the difference in black vs. white violence is NOT racism… suggesting someone sides with another due to skin color, or that an action should be taken toward that person because of their skin color is… and cannot be tolerated in our elected officials… sadly, no one seems to remember that that applies in both directions… the Revuhrand Jesse and Al Sharpie are given a free pass… thankfully they’re not elected officials, so we can simply ignore them.

Funny, The Blaze left out the fact that this guy’s a conservative. Then again, it’s not hard to infer.

Since city council members do not represent a party, all they could do is infer. I can also infer you think all conservatives a racists. I would call that a short-cut to thinking.
