Did You Know There Is Counter-Surveillance Clothing (Including a Burqa) That Can Combat Detection From Drones and X-Ray?

It is expected that the use of drones for surveillance will only increase, as will the use of facial recognition technology. Many have privacy concerns regarding these technologies, but some designers have responded to meet what could be a demand for counter-surveillance clothing.

Meet the the “privacy visor” and the “Stealth Wear hoodie.”

The facial recognition foiling goggles were developed by Japanese scientists to prevent law enforcement, shop mannequins and, if you’re wearing the glasses in a photo, social media sites from identifying you.

“As a result of developments in facial recognition technology in Google images, Facebook et cetera and the popularisation of portable terminals that append photos with photographic information … essential measures for preventing the invasion of privacy caused by photographs taken in secret and unintentional capture in camera images is now required,” Tokyo Institute of Informatics professor Isao Echizen told BBC (via Popular Science).

The Stealth Wear, “anti-drone” hoodie design developed by Adam Harvey uses metallic fabric that hampers thermal imaging systems.

“They work by using highly metallized fibers to reflect heat, thereby masking the wearer’s thermal signature,” his website explains.

In addition to the hoodie, other anti-drone pieces include the burqa and scarf.

“Conceptually, these garments align themselves with the rationale behind the traditional hijab and burqa: to act as ‘the veil which separates man or the world from God,’ replacing God with drone,” Harvey’s website states.

These clothing items are actually for sale. The burqa costs $2,365, the scarf $583 and the hoodie goes for $496.

Harvey’s Stealth Wear collection as a whole, which includes a T-shirt that protects the wearer from X-ray radiation and a cellphone pouch that prevents incoming and outgoing signals, is described on his website as “a vision for fashion that addresses the rise of surveillance, the power of those who surveil, and the growing need to exert control over what we are slowly losing, our privacy.”

They shouldn’t be marketing to the dirt poor Muslims doing Jihad there’s lots more money to be made in marketing to the last of the wealthy paranoid Americans, just call a Burka a Poncho and you’ve got it made. You could call it your anti gun control hat and Poncho, because if they want your guns they want your freedom too. Also be protected from NY street scanning devices, while looking modern if not futuristic.

………..also, after we leave the government officials stranded on Gilligan’s Island, we could use Google Earth to post them live on television to watch them starve and scavenge for food while whining and picking each other off. No more government. No more problems.

If we just left the government stranded on Gilligan’s Island without any electrical equipment… then we would not have to buy all this crap to protect ourselves from extreme corruptness.

    @Searcher:

“So you are claiming that Alex Jones doesn’t come off as a conspiracy nut?”

I’m certain he does to many people. To view that site, you need to have a real good filter.

Beck’s information isn’t much better. He seems to lull people away from rational discourse with humor and mockery. He’s very smart and very good at what he does. Jones may be a bit crazy, but he’s generally direct and sincere, and I respect that even if I may disagree with his conclusions.

The facts = truth, regardless of where they are reported. Glenn & Alex each have their ways of connecting dots. Both are sincere and being as honest as they can/will be. Guys: need to move on & quit the inner-bashing. The left sees this weakness and hits us back with it. We need a Unified front. If you can’t ride this horse, move so someone else can. Line up behind The God of Israel and see HIS hand move!

Spend your money on a flock of sheep and blend in with them as you move about. It’s more effective and sheep are multifunctional.

Irritated that it’s offered as a burqa or hijab….

If Obama has his way….we’ll all be having to wear Burqa’s. He’s making life in America miserable!
Try being a small business owner or middle class citizen. It’s a day to day struggle. Only the wealthy will survive the Obama Administration, or those on WELFARE AND DEFILING THE GOVERNMENT. This is a sad country we’re living in and there’s no one Obama can blame but himself. Thank God I wasn’t one of the 18 million who didn’t turn in to watch the MAD MAN get sworn in for four more years! We’re in for another term of hell! Get ready as Obama Care is already at work. I’ve never been in prison before, but I reckon since I can’t afford health care, much less food, I’m sure to end up there. Hope you’re reading this Mr. President..

At least the facial recognition foiling glasses aren’t conspicuous. Wouldn’t want to draw unnecessary attention to myself while avoiding the law.

Combine the burka with the glasses in public to avoid all detection.

They had to wait a few days since it was an infowars.com story. Sort of hard to mock and ridicule a site when they rely on it for information.

Drudge doesn’t create the stories they post. They scour other news sites and post what they find. you DO get that right? You are bitching about how the Blaze does this yet Drudge does the exact same thing.

Zip up! Your bias is showing…

INFOWARS.COM does have an interesting story every once in a while which is why Drudge will post some of their stuff BUT that site is far from a credible source of news and Jones have zero credibility. When you put Glenn Beck against Alex Jones Beck comes out the more credible person.

      Happy trolling you two!

Uh, searcher, kudos on your searching. Sort of got the gist of Drudge a decade or so ago. InfoWars has .5% decent stuff. Perhaps you missed the asinine part I was trying to impart on the lazy reporting of reports from others. Can I just cut and paste your comment to my comment to understand better? I can even include your typos to make it authentic cut and pasting.

Drudge links directly to infowars.com. Blaze doesn’t. They have to find alternate sources to make it seem as though they didn’t get the info from where they likely did.
