Dispute Over Line at Food Stamp Office Turns Into an All-Out Brawl
A brawl erupted at a food stamp office in East St. Louis, Ill., on Tuesday after an argument over a spot in line took a turn for the worse.
One bystander managed to record the entire ordeal [warning: coarse language]:
As the above video shows, it took security officers several minutes to separate the women and restore order.
“It’s just been cool, everybody standing in line, doing what they do, trying to get their stamps, trying to get, you know, whatever they’re trying to get. It’s never been like this in there,†Detria Graves told the FOX news affiliate in St. Louis.
According to the FOX report, one of the women involved in the fight wanted to use a pair of scissors as a weapon. Thankfully, the security guard prevented that from happening.
“Definitely something needs to be done, it’s ridiculous,” said DeShanea Stevenson. “They just do that all the time, at the aid office. That’s what happens. It’s like nobody really cares.’
“If I had my son with me, I’d be mad. I’d be very upset. No telling what’s going on. You never know what people have on them. You never know what could happen. Bullets don’t have names on them,” she added.
No serious injuries have been reported and no arrests have been made.
Final Thought: Remember how they mocked and sneered at former Speaker Newt Gingrich for saying we should focus on providing people with jobs and free them from government dependency?
Clearly, Gingrich was talking like a crazy person.

This is anecdotal, but I’ve observed this at least 2 or 3 dozen times in my lifetime, of people buying junk food and other highly fattening items with their foodstamps. In fact, I don’t think one would observe someone buying more soda and dorritos in a single shopping session than a shopper paying with food stamps.
Rationale sense might tell you that if you need government subsidies to literally survive and not die (because you will not survive and you will die without food) that you might want to put such resource to good use. But then again, takers aren’t the modest sort these days. They’re likely to punch you square in the face whenever you call them out on their chaotic and irratic choices and behaviors. The video is a good case in point.

We can always pull ourselves up by our bootstraps if we go to school, learn any trade and work yourself up the ladder to live the American Dream. Staying on welfare & food stamps throughout each generation is hardly the American Dream. I feel sorry for these peoples lack of ambition.

After being stationed at Ft Bragg so long the Army transferred me overseas. People are friendlier here when compared to California, and NY. I understand if they can’t find a job and need temporary help. But come on, to live your entire life getting food stamps is just got to stop. We must get Obama out of office now. He is bringing Americans down to third-world level. Blacks think they are poor now, wait until Obama is through.
I am close to that situation myself. I only work PT, but I have savings so have not used Food Stamps yet. I am seriously considering it, if I can not find another PT job. I also may have to rent or sell my home at a loss. At 61 I am having a hard time finding another job because I can’t stand on my feet all day any longer. I also have serious sinus issues, so can’t work around fast food places. Customers don’t want a food worker coughing on their food as it is cooked. I’ve looked for office work, but most of it is FT. Maybe with Obamacareless, companies will start to hire PT workers.

Preparation should be a priority to all who care about securing the health and well-being of themselves and their family members. A civilized society is bound by laws. Lawlessness among these taker cretins is prevalent. The social/welfare payments are the low hanging fruit the pandering politicians use to satisfy this base. When there is nothing left to give these folks, society breaks down, and they come after those whom they believe are responsible for their current position in life.
