Dispute Over Line at Food Stamp Office Turns Into an All-Out Brawl

A brawl erupted at a food stamp office in East St. Louis, Ill., on Tuesday after an argument over a spot in line took a turn for the worse.

One bystander managed to record the entire ordeal [warning: coarse language]:

As the above video shows, it took security officers several minutes to separate the women and restore order.

“It’s just been cool, everybody standing in line, doing what they do, trying to get their stamps, trying to get, you know, whatever they’re trying to get. It’s never been like this in there,” Detria Graves told the FOX news affiliate in St. Louis.

According to the FOX report, one of the women involved in the fight wanted to use a pair of scissors as a weapon. Thankfully, the security guard prevented that from happening.

“Definitely something needs to be done, it’s ridiculous,” said DeShanea Stevenson. “They just do that all the time, at the aid office. That’s what happens. It’s like nobody really cares.’

“If I had my son with me, I’d be mad. I’d be very upset. No telling what’s going on. You never know what people have on them. You never know what could happen. Bullets don’t have names on them,” she added.

No serious injuries have been reported and no arrests have been made.

Final Thought: Remember how they mocked and sneered at former Speaker Newt Gingrich for saying we should focus on providing people with jobs and free them from government dependency?

Clearly, Gingrich was talking like a crazy person.

A hundred and fifty years ago, if you didn’t go bust your ass in the field, you didn’t eat that day. Now, if you don’t want to work, you get public housing, section 8 reimbursements, food stamps, welfare and other entitlements. These of course are all paid for by those who have the tenacity to go to work each and every day and pay taxes. This tenacity is attacked when the incentives for not working are increased and the punishment for working are also increased (higher taxes). Therein lies the fundamental flaw for today’s politicians of an understanding of basic economics. If you subsidize something, you get more of it and if you tax it you get less of it.

For those who believe Obama is incompetent, this should put those thoughts too rest. This is exactly what he has been planning all along, that is the total breakdown of our society. What better way, than too have people fighting over their only access too daily food. Oh, I forgot, at sometime in the not too distant future, people will be fighting over the lack of access to “free health care, brought about by Obamacare. At that point society will no longer exist as we know it today. And people are surprised that sane Americans have a dim view of their future.

You people need to vote me into office. I would have no more food stamps. The very poor would be handed a box each week with a loaf of bread, canned vegetables, oatmeal, and milk. Nothing more and nothing less and only after detailed background checks. If you have nice clothes, jewelry, a cell phone, or shoes without holes in them, you get nothing. Sound harsh but hey, it might just give these people a reason to make something of themselves.

This makes me sad on so many levels. 300,000 Union soldiers died to put an to end slavery, for THIS?? The lack of education, the lack of culture, in seemingly able-bodied people, is what government has created. Liberals say they are compassionate and are fighting for the poor, when in fact they are only subjecting them to another kind of slavery = government dependence.

Wow, life is so hard for these poor people who have to stand in line to get government money to buy their kids food.

Nice to know they all have cell phones, designer jackets, and pay to have their baby’s **** done. Do you know how much is costs to get those braids! Probably what my food budget is for a week. Yes, the food that I BUY MYSELF!

Yup, the bystanders are not phased in the least by this animalistic behavior. This is how they live. No respect for others, themselves, or the sense to remove their little kids from that environment.

I would be mortified to witness this kind of behavior in person………….our tax money at work. THANKS OBAMA!

  See they need to be on this kind of aid. Working takes a lot out of you and if you are going to riot you need to be well rested by sitting at home watching tv and playing xbox on your big screen that the drug money bought you. The aid is supplemental to the drug and prostitution money.
