Glock Releases New Pro-Gun Commercial That’s Sure to Make Gun Owners Smile

Glocks New Wrong Girl Gun Ad

In 2011, there was a set of commercials that made their way around the internet by gun-maker Glock and featuring popular Marine drill sergeant Lee Ermey, aka “Gunny.”  Pro-gun people loved them, as they make the case for those who are passionate about the Second Amendment in a slightly-funny, common-sense way.

And now the manufacturer is back with a new one that’s sure to grab attention.

The ads all are a play off the idea of robbers picking the wrong business, house, or person.

Check out the initial ad, which takes place at a diner and focuses on a potential robbery:

The second one focuses on home protection:

And now the new one — which portrays a crook picking the wrong woman to try and attack:

Curious about who the “wrong girl” is? Well, you may have seen her before. Here name is Courtney Hope and she’s a model and actress. Her website details more of her accolades:

I’ve been seen in guest star roles in TV shows such as Grey’s Anatomy, Criminal Minds, CSI Miami, Related, Out of Jimmy’s Head, Joan of Arcadia, 7th Heaven and others. I also booked a series regular role in a pilot with 20th Century FOX, called “Born In The USA”, which was a drama and the brain-child of Simon Fuller, creator of American Idol. I recently filmed another pilot, “The Assassins”, and am hopeful that it will be picked up this next TV season.

IMDB adds that the 23-year-old actress has appeared appeared in numerous commercials, TV shows, and movies. She’s also the red-head in this “Messin’ with Sasquatch” commercial:

The Dallas, TX, native is also pretty smart. Her website says, “I graduated high school at the age of 15 and started college on my 16th birthday.”

GREAT ad, but only for Internet (too long for commercial TV).

But one part bothered me — the Crackerjack Box front door lock. No deadbolt??? It’s the same security lock (the simple lock in the door handle) that people have on their internal doors — locks to keep out the 3 year old while the adults are “otherwise engaged.”

All the ads are good. Some more than others.
The reality is that we need to be speaking to our friends and relatives in law enforcement and military.
Ask them if they would really want to go against friends, family, and average American citizens if confiscation ever became a mandate.
Some young hardheads who’ve been brainwashed will, of course do just that.
Not teaching our Constitution has brought us to some possibly scary scenario’s.
And, NO….the attempts to disarm Americawill not stop.

      GLOCK,

great commercials you guys have put together! My dad always had a shotgun & rifle in the closet at home for small game hunting, but handgun ownershp became a part of our family when we were the victims of an attempted car-jacking in Chicago. I was just a kid then.

Your commercials put a lighthearted twist on a dark reality of our society. Thanks for spreading the message of individual libierty, self-defense, and responsibility.

to THEEDGE: The reason that they show middle aged white guys is the simple fact that they are the only group left that no one will yell RASCIST about anymore. If it was a woman (usually it isn’t) the feminatzies will scream; if you show a black, you will probably end up in jail even though more blacks do these crimes than whites. You see, the white male is the brunt of all these attacks because they have the common sense to just overlook the attacks on them. When you wake up this bunch of testosterone, watch out!!

Cool commercial. And the woman is definitely hot and prepared. She even had her gun locked up. Awesome.

The only problem they glossed over was the fact that having a gun in your house actually increases rather than reduces the likelihood that someone in that household will die a violent gun death. In fact, households with guns are twelve times more likely to have a member die from the gun than to kill a criminal.

Why? Well most of that statistic is due to suicides. In a moment of desperation a person gets the thing out and a second or two later, bang, it’s over. Gun suicides are almost always successful. Sure, there are other ways to end it, but they take planning (like hoarding pills) and are far less likely to result in death. A momentary impulse to end your life, if you have a gun, is going to end your life.

Of course there are the accidental deaths from people handling guns and all those kids who shoot themselves or someone else. And let’s not forget the domestic disturbances that turn arguments into corpses! That happens a lot too as you know.

People like this woman stopping an intruder with a gun? Yep, it happens. It sometimes happens I’ll give ya that. But the far more likely outcome of having guns in the house is the death of someone in that house, either from impulsive suicide, or accident or the flash of anger than makes one family member turn that gun on another family member.

      @Meteors:

Balance those negatives against all the lives saved in malls, schools, parks, churches, etc because a law-abiding citizen was armed and packing. The equation tips in favor of leaving the 2nd amendment as is when you ponder the potential for federal, state, and county abuse. Governments have, and sadly always will, put down their own citizens with massive and horrific force from time to time.

The level of hatred in America is on the rise, thanks to all of the irresponsible “leaders” from the right and left that are fanning the flames. Most of us just want to be left alone. But gooberment, in its infinite foolishness, refuses to focus on the basics instead of constantly changing the rules and then trumpeting abround all the work, tears, and money spent on this and that. Meanwhile… the titanic is inexorably sinking into a watery grave. Karma will be catch up with this country sooner or later…

DarkJello, I agree with the sentiment, if not the details, of your second paragraph. Not your first paragraph though.

But when you talk about “all the lives saved in malls, schools, parks, churches, etc because a law-abiding citizen was armed and packing” I have to wonder if this is “backwards day.” Maybe you can give me a single instance to the contrary, but malls, schools, parks, churches are exactly where people are killed with guns, and I don’t remember a single example where, as you claim, where a “law abiding citizen armed and packing” stopped even one murder in those places. In fact I don’t know of a single instance where this law abiding citizen you mention stopped even one mass murder in a public place. If you can give a single example I’d like to hear it.

Seriously? “Law-abiding citizens” have stopped shootings in schools? When? Where? In churches? When, where? Malls? What in the world are you talking about?

Jello, you’ve mentioned places where the bad guys have killed people, and mentioned not one place where a good guy stopped a murderer. It is backwards day isn’t it? You’re pulling my leg right?

Another bothersome thing was the gun being locked up in a home that only has adult occupants. Your Glock (the only pistol I want) needs to be hidden and instantly accessible. If the guy had kicked in the flimsy door, she would not have had time to unlock to safe. Also, on the first sign of possible trouble, you need to immediately get your gun in your hands. The film about all the dinner occupants pulling their guns would have been better without the law enforcement meeting sign. This smacks of the socialist/communist idea that only law enforcement should carry guns and/or take action in such a situation.

I wonder if these people had access to weapons what would the numbers look like. Yes a few people would have shoot themselves or had accidents, but I guarantee that 260 million would not have died from their own government. You see guns aren’t just good for home protection and hunting, they are also great for guarding against tyranny. It is the peoples checks and balances against a out of control goverment.

@sendthemeteors, I am not sure how your “likelyhood stats” of someone else harming themselves or an accidental shooting (due to the fact that some people are dumb, and thus, they just suck at everything; in otherwords, some people just really suck at life) trumps my right to keep and bear arms, whether or not I have a gun for hunting, self-defense, or as just another arm added to the citizenry to keep an overreaching and despotic government at bay?
I don’t care how many people suck at life, but I do care about the govt trying to make every law abiding person’s home into their perverse wetdream gun-free zones.
And by all rights, that statistic would henceforth apply directly towards the police then too; therefore, making them more tempted to shoot themselves on the spur of the moment due to the ease at which a gun is nearby, or perhaps on their hip? That would stand for the military as well, right? Remember Ft. Hood, when the victims didn’t have access to defend themselves because Jimmy Carter changed the rules and took away easy access to firearms because sumpin bad might happen? Well, sumpin bad did happen, and it was those who followed the rules who lost their life.
Would our own benevolent gubmint ever turn upon the citizenry? Nah! Heck no, are you crazy? Only when the citizens are deemed to be a serious threat right? Only like places such as Waco and the peace
freaks at Kent St. Univ. (“four dead in Ohio”), right? Them radicals at Kent St. boy, DANGEROUS!!!

jstonemo found seven or eight example of of someone with a gun stopping a crime. Yes jstonemo, that sometimes happens, as I said above. Good research. Yes, that sometimes happens. I agree.

But it that what usually happens with guns? Today, and yesterday, 30 people were murdered with guns. Tomorrow 30 people will be murdered with guns. And the day after and, as you say “It goes on and on.” I’m sorry but the few examples you’ve found of the good guys preventing the bad guys from killing people doesn’t even match up to a single day of death in the US from firearms.

I support the Second Amendment and have probably the same view as Reagan and Justice Scalia on gun control But the fact is that guns make it really easy for a person to kill someone else in anger or themselves in a moment of desperation.

People buy guns, they say, for safety and protection. But the fact is mostly those guns are mostly for suicide or to kill another family member or an acquaintance.

@meteors – you do realize that more than 30 people were killed with weapons other than guns yesterday and today, right? Like knives, baseball bats, hammers, other blunt objects? More people are killed with hammers than with “assault rifles.” And what about everyone killed by a drunk driver yesterday? Or for that matter, how many people died due to reckless drivers in inclement winter weather? What about smokers?

This gross fear of guns is ignorant, because the media and liberals like to focus only on the harm that guns do. Harvard did a study, and found that many countries that have a complete ban on guns have higher crime and homicide rates than America does. Not gun crime and gun homicide rates. TOTAL crime and homicide rates. Evil people will use whatever tool they have available.

I cede your point that guns make suicide a lot “easier” to accomplish, but I don’t believe that guns are used more for suicides than for preventing crimes.

Absolutely, funny and effective. It is funny that Liberals want to take the guns away from the people who do not misuse them. They have no problem in not taking them away from criminals because they know they’d shoot their a$$.

There ultimate goal is to become the next Hitler, Mao, or Stalin. You can’t create tyranny when the American citizens are armed. You can’t enforce your will when citizens are armed. Lets face it Liberals are wienies when it comes to real fighting where they would receive opposition. They have no problem bullying people, because bullying picks on those weaker than them.

Obama is doing everything he can to create a revolution and to get law abiding citizens to act first. We must remain steadfast and only react when it becomes absolutely necessary. All we need to do is scare the pants off them and to say “You want my guns, come and take them”. They would then be making the first unconstitutional move and therefore you would have the right to defend yourself. Let the chips fall where they may. They must be the first to act. We fight lawfully.

Most of the people who support “gun control” are not trying to be or support the next H***r, or any such thing. They are scared, and because they can’t take the guns away from criminals by passing a law, ( which criminals will ignore) they will take guns from the people they CAN take guns from. It is about doing “something”, whether it’s effective or not. Doing “something” makes people feel better. Trying to give them facts is hard, because the facts do not make them feel safe. They want to cling to their illusions that the new gun laws will do some real good.

I love the one about the diner. I’ve always said that if you arm everyone, (those who are legal to be armed) then when someone in the group begins to act stupid and wants to waste someone, the other sane people will instantly have their guns loaded and cocked on that person. My wife, who is a school teacher, doesn’t completely understand this when I suggested to arm all the school teachers, the principle, and the secretaries. She is concerned about some of the teachers who shouldn’t be trusted with a gun. I told her that if he or she suddenly goes crazy and pulls out their gun to point it at another teacher or student, the other three or four teachers in the area will resolve the situation rather quickly. That’s what the second amendment is all about. To protect oneself against a person, or a government, who wants to take away your right to life. And, I believe that most people, such as most on this site, would join in like those people in the diner. Thank you Glock for the excellent commercials. Can’t wait to see them in my area.

I agree. The only comment I would add is that even Conservatives have a feeling that there are only certain people who are ” (those who are legal to be armed) “. I believe that this is a God given, unalienable right of self defense, that the government is very slowly chipping away at. We conservatives are allowing it to be taken away from certain groups because WE are not THEM. FELONS cannot possess guns. We allow that.. WHY? A man tells someone outside his company about an impending stock trade and becomes guilty of “insider trading”. Takes a plea deal. Instantly becomes a FELON and can no longer defend his FAMILY?? And we accept that??? A woman gets emotional and calls the police on her husband falsely accusing him of domestic violence. He is arrested and perhaps even convicted. This happens every day in our country. He can no longer possess a weapon to protect his self, home or family. And we ALLOW this? Why? Because as the old quote goes… They came for the Jews and I said nothing because I was not a Jew. They came for the gypsy’s and I said nothing because I was not a gypsy. Last they came for me and there was no one else to help. We must stop thinking that the RIGHT to keep and bear arms can be limited to a select group, and can be takend from other groups. It was GIVEN by God, and cannot be taken away by man!

But why does the article tout that she graduated at 15 and was in college at 16… I did that too… I can’t imagine it’s THAT big of a deal… Its not like I was a straight A student (much to my chagrin) I just started school young…

My grandfather always kept loaded firearms all over the house. We knew they were loaded and we knew to keep our hands off of them. I asked him why all of them were loaded and he told me, “On a farm, after you take the time to load a gun, you usually don’t need it anymore. ”
I don’t lock my pistol up. Those fingerprint lock boxes are good if you are not there or they can not drag your cold dead hand to the input points on the box.

If you think the second amendment is worth going to war over, is it worth going to jail over?

Think MLK filling the jails with activists.
It takes all kinds of courage to surrender control like that and put yourself in someone else’s hands.
We are not fighting Stalin. We are opposing Americans with opposing views.
Even if a small group did have totalitarian, tyrannical goals… they still have to have a large mass of people willing to follow them and/or enforce their orders.

Look at the practicalities. They would have to feed and house….. how many prisoners? They would have some trouble in this country finding soldiers to fire on unarmed protesters, and it would undermine them considerably. Trying to put the rough stuff behind closed doors has limitations too. Overwhelm the system. There are a LOT of gun owners. If presented in the right way, there are even more non-gun owners who love liberty and the constitution. NO ONE wants their enumerated rights treated like preferences that the government can override when convenient.

      @1FreeVoice.
Guns laws have racist Roots. Thank You for bringing up my favorite Republican, the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.. He and Ghandi learned to use non-violent civil disobedience to provoke bad press for their opponents. Thus they took the moral authority away from the sitting governments. Note, however that in America MLK had Kennedy and Republicans in Washington on the side of Black Republicans in the South (From 1865-1965, if you were Black… you supported the party of Lincoln). Now we need to win back the youth and minorities. I think we need to re-brand “gun” rights as “civil rights”. Therefore, the NRA is a Civil Rights group. Gun laws share a racist history. As one Florida Judge commented on an 1890s gun law, “These laws were never intended to apply to the white population.” The first Americans to be denied their 2nd Amendment Rights (by local “common sense” gun laws) were “Freeman”, the recently freed slaves.
Now a Black American President wants to treat all Americans like slaves. Ironic.

“I have a Dream. ..(that people )… not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.

I voted against him because of the content of his character. Could it be that guilty Democrats voted for Obama to prove that they were not racist.

1 free voice—–we are fighting Stalin like issues. Most of us who are fighting this are very much aware of the fact that AGENDA 21 is the order of the day. This is an agreement signed by Bush SR in 92 and made law by executive order by Clinton. It is a UN agreement signed by 178 nations agreeing to depopulate the world by 90% and to create a new world order.
This is the reason for disarmament now and this is only the beginning. With regard to prisons and jails, if you knew about AGENDA 21 you would know that Halliburton has built 800 FEMA concentration camps since 2005. You would know that WAL-MART who are a huge part of this agenda on many levels has been closing all their old stores and building superstores for two decades. All the old ones are sitting empty. They are planned to be the schools for the NWO and you can see all these “RED ZONES” on the internet and also you can see lots of former “cattle cars” that have been turned into transport for humans. For the past 10 years the ARMY has been hiring “internment” guards. This is a NAZI. The job description is to ” round up and imprison” US citizens. Many of the camps are already being used.
If you check the case against Brandon Raub, you will find that 20,000 people are “missing” in Virginia. There are hundreds of missing vets all over the nation. You see, the NDAA act has labeled ALL our war vets as “psychotic” and “a threat to national security.” Brandon went to jail because we have no freedom of speec

There are but a handful of effeminate men who lack the hand strength necessary to operate a firearm. They just deal with it. YOU, on the other hand, have to cast aspersions referring to men without said affliction as “cowards” and whatnot.

You are a member of “The Gun Grabbing Gestapo” and, therefore, a fascist. We have 50 states, each with its own government perfectly capable of passing this law or that, but NO, you have to dictate to the ENTIRE country via an over-centralized authority.

Gun control is just another form of class conflict, the driving force behind fascism, a.k.a., “The Right of the Left.”

      These commercials are great!

They demonstrate the real world occurances every day in our society. It is beyond me how certain people cannot comprehend the need to defend ones self from harm. How they cannot see that these acts of violence in our society aren’t perpetrated by law abiding citizens they are commited by CRIMINALS. No law you can come up with will get the guns out of CRIMINAL hands. So they want to take away our god given right to defend ourselves to supposedly what, let them sleep better at night? I hate to break it to them, but my guns are not going anywhere, except everywhere I go.

I will not be the one the cops come to clean up!

My carry gun is a Glock 23, I like the .40 in an easier to conceal format. You should have seen some of my friends’ faces when I told them my wife asked for, and received, a Glock 19 for her birthday. The 19 fits her smaller hands and the 9mm’s recoil is easy for her to handle.

Many people decide to carry guns, many people have not decided to kill if required to do so. It’s a package deal.
