Sarah Palin Is Out at Fox News

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin’s contract as a Fox News contributor was not renewed, the network announced Friday. (AP)
Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and Fox News have parted ways.
The 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee’s contract as a paid network contributor has ended and will not be renewed, Fox News’ executive vice president of programming said Friday.
“We have thoroughly enjoyed our association with Governor Palin. We wish her the best in her future endeavors,” Bill Shine said in a statement to TheBlaze.
A source close to Palin told Real Clear Politics, which was first to report the news, that it was Palin who “decided not to renew the arrangement.”
“It’s my understanding that Gov. Palin was offered a contract by Fox, and she decided not to renew the arrangement,” the source told Real Clear Politics. “She remains focused on broadening her message of common-sense conservatism across the country and will be expanding her voice in the national discussion.”
A Fox spokeswoman did not address those remarks in an email to TheBlaze.
Signs of friction between Palin and the network emerged over the summer when Palin took to Facebook and wrote that “Fox canceled all my scheduled interviews” during one night of the Republican National Convention.
At the time, Shine said the RNC’s condensed schedule made it necessary to bump Palin.
“Our plans changed based on the fact that the RNC condensed the schedule of speeches from four nights to three. We look forward to having Governor Palin back as soon as we can,” he said.
According to the New York Times, Palin was in negotiations with Fox News for a new contract last week. Her original contract started in January 2010 and ended this month; her last appearance on the network was in mid-December.

Posted on January 25, 2013 at 7:16pmSurely this cannot be a surprise to anyone after last November. I think it was obvious that the contract would not be renewed. She has certainly lost a lot of her effectiveness and has angered many people in the amount of money she takes in on her sarahpac and how little she uses for politics but mostly for herself. Surely she will show up with some new announcement.

Posted on January 25, 2013 at 7:15pmSo where does Sarah go now…she is politically smart and really did not want to support Romney who is not a true Conservative, but an eastern Republican RINO…I don’t dislike Romney, but he was not strong enough on the values that made this country great! Sarah ought to be on a panel with Republicans and Democrats to argue the policies that are hurting this country.

Posted on January 25, 2013 at 7:15pmI’ve always liked Sarah Palin. Not only is she cute and spunky, she’s smart. She’s a little bundle of firecrackers and stands up against the Big Boys and fights for what she believes! I admire that… and I sure don’t see a whole lot of that true patriotism in Washington D.C. at the moment! I wish her luck and Godspeed, no matter what she does.

Posted on January 25, 2013 at 7:13pmFox is slipping and I am glad she is out of there. Sarah Palin needs to be free to do as she chooses to do. I pray she runs for President, that we the people do allow the liberal media to destroy her. There is a great article in The American Thinker by Lloyd Marcus thanking Mrs. Palin, and pointing out how so many conservatives jumped right in line with the progressive lies. Whatever she does, I will support her. She has that something, if you have ever seen her in person, you know it.

Let’s see, went from Housewife to Council to Mayor to Gov of a Energy Production State with MULTIPLE International Borders, getting a higher % of the Electorate and approval ratings higher than CONGRESS each time, ELECTRIFIED the GOP base, has a NATIONAL following, and was called by Richard(Dick) Morris (a mere political tyro) “the politician most like Reagan I’ve seen since Reagan.” But no, according to VeReason she has “Zero” political cred.

Posted on January 25, 2013 at 7:05pmSarah Palin would be a great spokesperson for a Confederated Tea Party. All of the hundreds of Tea Party groups should gather together into one organization. As with the USA, each group would be separate but united.
Allen West, Gary Sinese, Tom Selleck, and other well known conservatives could make themselves available to speak at conservative gatherings.

I am glad she has decided to leave Fox News. She is way too important to waste her time there. She will be a sought after speaker and still holds mega power with the Conservative Right, whether Bill O’Reilly approves or not. Now she will be free to expand her enfluence. Fox found out the hard way that she cannot be silenced or manipulated. America loves Sarah Palin and the old guard and the Fox establishment could not handle the fact that she held more influence than they did. The Left and the media, INCLUDING FOX NEWS trashed her reputation and held her back, insteading of supporting her. She is a brave Patriot, beautiful woman, mother, and wife. And like it or not, SHE IS INTELLIGENT. Hope to see her back in the political arena where she belongs. She has a lot to add to the conversation, instead of being forced to listen to the same old tired horses over and over again.
She refused to let Bill O’reilly talk over her like he does everyone else. She exposed his intolerance. I hope she succeeds at everything she does. They are afraid of her and rightfully so…she can’t be bought.

Posted on January 26, 2013 at 10:54ami would love to see palin actually run for president. presidential primaries are absolutely brutal. remember last time? rubio/bush/ryan/cruz/paul or whomever else ran would absolutely tear sarah palin apart…she isn’t in the big leagues like the rest of those challengers. there are a whole bunch of people (paul/rubio particularly) whose every move is geared towards running in 2016…sarah’s next move is geared towards facebook and twitter posts…she will never run for president but she will continue to ask for your money…now what would that make her?
