‘We Want to Be Republicans for Everybody’: Reince Priebus Re-Elected RNC Chairman
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — Reince Priebus has been elected to lead the Republican National Committee for another two years.
The 40-year-old RNC chairman ran unopposed in his bid for a second term, which begins less than three months after what most Republicans consider a disastrous election cycle. The GOP in November lost a competitive presidential election and gave up seats in the House and Senate.
“The task before us is transforming the party – to be a force from coast to coast,” Priebus said Friday in his acceptance speech in Charlotte, N.C., where Republican National Committee members from across the country gathered this week for the GOP’s annual winter meeting.
Maine national committeeman Mark Willis tried to challenge Priebus but could not muster the backing of three states needed to qualify for the ballot. All but two of the Republican National Committee’s 168 members – both from Maine – voted to reelect the chairman.
Despite the party’s struggles last fall, Priebus was widely praised for improving the RNC’s financial problems. In his acceptance speech, he called for sweeping changes in the GOP over the coming years, particularly the need to connect with the minority voters that helped propel President Barack Obama to a second term.
“We want to be Republicans for everybody,” Priebus said. “We have to take our message of opportunity where it’s not being heard. We have to build better relationships in minority communities, urban centers and college towns. We need a permanent growing presence.”

Posted on January 25, 2013 at 2:57pmThat statement is the problem with the Republican elite’. The mealy mouth, we love everyone tactic is a flop every time it is tried, SO STOP. Romney would have been the finest Sec of Treasury to be found, but the Presidential candidate must be able to ‘kick the dumb-o-craps in the prat’ and show the voter what kind of cretens that party is composed of and why the voter must vote for the Republican. Instead our candidates mealy mouth, blather and in general look like incompetent fools. Do not say that the other party’s boy is a nice guy when he/she is actually a closet communist. The Reps last opportunity will be the next mid-terms, if the statis quo is used, the party will lose and the Republic, as well as the party will be lost. The continous ‘caving’ by the supposed party leaders is quite impressive “OH King berry can you kick me again, PLEASE” .I wonder what the ‘elitist cadre’ will do for a job when they can no longer live off the former party members.

What a pathetic sad statement about the republican party. Couldnt even get 3 out of 50 state representatives to oppose him. Reminds me of how the Boehner renomination went. Everyone needs to abandon the GOP in order to save their dignity

Posted on January 25, 2013 at 3:17pmThe GOP is being outclassed in the strategic fight. The Progressives have a strategic plan and are using Operational Art in depth and width over the full spectrum of the political battlefield.
Why did the SECDEF sign that regulation with a time line for women in combat? Do the progressives really care about women or the military, no they are setting a stage for a future political fight that will come to a head in 2016. What happens then? Hillary takes that Progressive Battle Flag and runs with it.
What are the main things that united our colonies in the first place? Individual liberties, smaller government, individual states rights, freedom of religion (choice)

Posted on January 25, 2013 at 2:46pmThe fact that this fool was reelected Chairman unopposed after a disastrous election is all that needs to be said about the Republican Party. Since I wasn’t old enough by a couple of months to vote for Ronald Reagan’s reelection, in my voting lifetime, the Republicans have failed to offer a true conservative on the ballot in any Presidential election. I will NEVER vote for a Republican again for any office (and, no, I have not and will not ever vote Demoncrat.).

Posted on January 25, 2013 at 2:33pmStep 1: Develop a meaningful non-threatening platform.
Step 2: Find an inspiring person to articulate it and energize people about it.
Step 3: Don’t let the liberals control the dialog. Don’t simply react, be on the defensive or get into a war of soundbites. Lead by sticking to the issues and what it beneficial about your policies, not what is wrong with the Dem policies.
Step 4: Deliver an easily comprehendable message about how out-of-control spending and debt threatens ALL social programs and, therefore, fiscal responsibility is the only way to save them for everyone’s benefit. Defuse the belief that you are the part of the “1%” by having a platform which shows precisely why you are not.
Step 5: Vett candidates. Keep zealots and extremists who have or are likely to put their foot in their mouth off the ballot.
Step 6: Put what’s good for the country ahead of your own reelection. Build trust based on deeds. If you do a good job, you shouldn’t have a problem keeping your job.
Step 7: Be courageous.
Step 8: Don’t be arrogant.
Step 9: USE COMMON SENSE IN ALL THINGS.
Any questions?

Let’s quit ***** footin around the issue here.. The Republican’s lost because they alienated Ron Paul conservative/libertarians in a major way.. It was a huge turn off and many stayed home.

Instead of being a nice guy and not tell it “how it is” the right message from our candidate became very weak toward the last. When they bring out knives, you bring out a bigger one. Politics isn’t for the weakling, not to be mistaken for decorum, but say what needs to be said.

After the 2012 elections, during which the Republicans failed to support MANY Tea Party favorites and instead supported the favorites of the republican elite, they went on to distance themselves from the Tea Party, claiming that they didn’t have the best interests of the Republican Party at heart.
Well, here is my promise. I’m not voting for another candidate, of any party, unless he has the best interests of his country and constituents at heart. And, I really don’t see myself voting, again. It should protect citizens from crimes against themselves or their property. When government– in pursuit of good intentions tries to rearrange the economy, legislate morality, or help special interests, the cost come in inefficiency, lack of motivation, and loss of freedom.
