Winter X Games Athlete Undergoes Surgery for Heart Contusion After This Brutal Snowmobile Accident

Caleb Moore underwent surgery for a heart contusion on Friday morning after sustaining serious injuries in a snowmobile accident during the Winter X Games Snowmobile Freestyle finals Thursday night.

“While Caleb was being evaluated late last night, he developed bleeding around the heart and was urgently flighted to Grand Junction [Colo.],” an X Games Medical report stated “He underwent surgery this morning. The procedure went well, and Caleb is currently in ICU with a heart contusion.”

Absolutely stupid. I have no sympathy for any of these people. You take a perfectly good human body and risk death or permanent disability is just stupid. You want to “try it” fine but don’t come crying to me when you screw it up.

  i saw this live on TV, it was the first of four bad wrecks. The bar has been raised so high in these games that when these kids make a mistake it almost costs them their lives.
