How Dianne Feinstein Got Away With Displaying Guns for Her Big Assault Weapons Ban Unveiling

Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) made sure to go through the proper channels when she displayed 10 so-called assault weapons during Thursday’s unveiling of her new proposed gun ban — lest she run afoul of Washington, D.C.’s strict gun laws.

Feinstein’s office, apparently mindful of the situation NBC’s David Gregory found himself in, asked D.C. Police to provide them with weapons to display, Feinstein spokesman Brian Weiss told the Washington Post. Such guns are permitted in D.C. if they are in police custody, Weiss said.

According to the Post:

U.S. Capitol Police and the Senate Sergeant at Arms inspected the weapons to ensure they were inoperable before they were permitted inside the Dirksen Senate Office building for the event, according to Weiss and Capitol Police spokesman Shennell Antrobus.

“We routinely work with our stakeholders during the course of their duties, and within the framework of the various applicable laws, to ensure the weapons brought in for hearings are done so in a safe manner,” Antrobus said in an e-mail.

D.C. police investigated Gregory after he held up what he said was a high-capacity ammunition magazine on live TV during “Meet the Press.” It’s a violation of District law to possess a magazine capable of holding 10 or more rounds of ammunition, but the D.C. attorney general ultimately decided not to prosecute.

I like how 5 of them are just AR-15′s with different barrels and aftermarket attachments, but are billed as “different rifles”.

I’m fairly confident that if I take the scope off my AR and use the flip-ups, it’s still the same rifle. Also fairly confident that if I take off my foregrip and flashlight mounts and replace them with a bipod and laser it’s still the same rifle. Put an EOTech sight on it? Still the same rifle.

What a baffoon this woman is.

  Then again, we allowed somebody who isn’t a US Citizen by birth to be elected–twice! (you know that is a requirement for the Presidential Position, right?)

Diane F has had a concealed weapon permit for decades. She has armed guards around the clock who all carry fully automatic weapons with WAY more than 10 round magazines (Not clips you idiot). But God forbid the little people should do as she does. And of course the gun laws she would send us to prison for transgressing don’t apply to her, at least not in her eyes. This is always how it is with our overlords, do as they say, not how they do.

Another example of the double standard for our modern serfdom society. Those that make the laws are allowed to break them. Anyone here think they could get a special dispensation to display illegal firearms ??? By the way; I wonder how that David Gregory investigation is going ? …Oops; I forgot; never mind.

If the DHS can procure what is classified as “Assault Rifles” by the National Firearms Act of 1968 and call them “Personal Defense Weapons” then i am claiming the the non-defined “Assault Weapon” I own is actually a “Personal Defense Firearm” or PDF.

in police custody,these must have been taken from the people on the streets you’re trying to protect yourself from.
one commenter stated this will not pass,it’s just a way to make reb.,look uncaring,and be responsible for any future shootings.
with a murder rate of children,and young adults in california,i would’nt cast the first,or the next thousand stones,on being responsible,or uncaring,just as most highly populated cities,and states in america,that are controled by democrats.
where is all the tax money for police protect,and education going to in these big cities,and highly populated states,where are all the jobs for the youths,in the big cities,and highly populated states,controled by democrats,could their constant pushing for,and accepting the unconstitutional immagration they fight so hard for,or the uncontitutional use of americans tax-dollars being spent on entitlements for illegals,it’s 100′s of billions of dollars a year that could be going to better police-protection,and education for americans they scream for during every election.
the democrats give these 100′s of billions of american tax-dollars to,and for the illegals,and tell thier people,it’s those uncaring republicans,and rich peoples fault.
now that we got to see the constitutional arms americans are entitled to,up on the walls of congress,we need to show exhibits of the constitutional right of abortions for americas on the walls of congress,during a debate on abortion.

It would be so wonderful if all Congress people, including our President take an actual course on the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. I feel Ms. Fienstein put a cork in it first, then she should retire. She has been around way to long, she is beginning to babble.

O yea the laws do not apply to the ruling class! They only apply to us subjects. Just like the news reporter showing the 30 round magazine on TV. That was in violation of the law with no wavers or permission from the local Police Dept. In fact the police informed them that it would be against the law to do what they did. No charges tough, because the press supports our ruling class and the PD did not want any adverse press.

In a way, I kinda hope she gets more than she wants. Lets go for confiscation. No sense waiting. Use all that power the federal government has. No one can withstand the power of the US government. Oh wait, except a few thousand cavemen in Afghanistan. This government attained its power through fraud and intimidation and bribery. Now want to keep that power through confiscation of guns or intimidation of those who have and sell guns. It is the way of the zombie elite.
