Obama Attacks Fox; Find Out Which Host Fired Back Here

President Obama’s White House has a troubled history with conservative and/or right-leaning media, and has done pretty much since the president took office. The rancor on both sides is generally equivalent.

Certainly, an equal amount of rancor was loosed this weekend from both sides, when President Obama criticized Republicans for being overly beholden to Fox News and radio host Rush Limbaugh, only to have one prominent Fox host fire back accusing him of thin skinned dishonesty.

First, there was President Obama’s comment itself, which he made in an interview with the liberal magazine The New Republic (emphasis added):

Well, look, I’ve always believed that there are a bunch of Republicans of goodwill who would rather get something done than suffer through the sort of nasty atmosphere that prevails in Washington right now. It’s not a fun time to be a member of Congress.

And I think if you talk privately to Democrats and Republicans, particularly those who have been around for a while, they long for the days when they could socialize and introduce bipartisan legislation and feel productive. So I don’t think the issue is whether or not there are people of goodwill in either party that want to get something done. I think what we really have to do is change some of the incentive structures so that people feel liberated to pursue some common ground.

One of the biggest factors is going to be how the media shapes debates. If a Republican member of Congress is not punished on Fox News or by Rush Limbaugh for working with a Democrat on a bill of common interest, then you’ll see more of them doing it.

This mention of Fox by name prompted an angry reaction from Fox host Greta van Susteren, who fired back on her blog with the following criticism:

Apparently President Obama wants his usual media pass and Fox challenges his policies – which happens to be the media’s job.[...]

And do you know what else? Brace yourself for this one! Some Democrats have told me that they want to come on Fox to discuss issues but they get heat from their Leadership for appearing on Fox. Does President Obama know that? So which Party is intimidating its members? And to say Senator Harry Reid is willing to compromise is just wrong. He has not allowed a budget to get to the Senate Floor for years to even begin a discussion. The budget process is where all compromise begins and ends and ended it before it even got started.

This is not the first time the Obama administration and Fox News have clashed. Fox is barely conservative. Obama just is a petulant child with thin skin. You telling me Bill O’Reiley is conservative or really cares what the “folks” think? Same with Shep Smith all the president has to deal with is about 5 hours of actual disagreement in 24 hours and he can’t even handle that. It’s talk radio where the real knowledge is and unfortunately it’s hidden away in an alternate realm. You guys want somebody that can really save the country and know his stuff it’s Jason Lewis. The problem is you Neo-Cons will hate him. By Neo-Con I”m referring to those that love the military industrial complex, military interventionists, and those that believe Israel is the 51st state. Basically the beliefs that will continue to lose republicans elections.

I can remember when although the Republicans had a different ideology people would attempt to work together now under this batch of mean spirited, money grubbing, detached from reality, liberal trolls considers the Republicans or anyone that doesn’t enjoy the sheeple juice or Kool-Aid if you prefer the enemy and wants vengeance. Obama has used his cult of personality to divide America. I really think he wants a Civil War maybe that’s why he adores Lincoln. Barack Mr. Lincoln wrote this: “We the people are the rightful masters of both Congress and the courts, not to overthrow the Constitution but to overthrow the men who pervert the Constitution” and this too:”.This country, with its institutions, belongs to the people who inhabit it. I quit watching The View, due to Joy Bayhar. I can not stand that women. I wanted to go through my TV so many times, because no matter what Elisabeth wanted to say, Joy would always interrupt, berate, and get very nasty with her and never let her finish. I do not watch MSM, unless I want to compare what I am being told by conservative news. I find so much misinformation to down right lies from the MSM, including their liberal sites with misleading links when they are trying to “prove’ a fact, and they cannot. I don’t always watch the news, just my local news. I’ll catch my local Quinn and Rose once in a while. Before conservative radio and news, I noticed the differences in the Clinton era, that is when I switched parties and started to pay more attention to politics. I remember when Rush first came on tv and was complaining about the president, I was in total shock and awe that someone on TV would be doing that. Now I know better, and the reasons why we have Conservative news and radio, so we can get the truths, and if I find any misleading information, I slam that as well. Journalist need to start being held accountable for misleading the public, then maybe true journalism will come out and keep the public informed, instead of keeping them dumbed down, which is why they are like that, because the Dem/Libs and MSM can’t get anywhere on their own MERIT…
