Obama Hits Violence in Football: ‘If I Had a Son’ I’m Not Sure If I Would ‘Let Him Play’

WASHINGTON (TheBlaze/AP) — Football’s first fan isn’t sure he’d let his son play the game, in light of the impact it takes on its players. It is the violence inherent in the sport that he explicitly targets as problematic and a potential barrier to allowing a son partake (pending he actually had one).

“I’m a big football fan, but I have to tell you, if I had a son, I’d have to think long and hard before I let him play football,” President Barack Obama tells The New Republic.

“And I think that those of us who love the sport are going to have to wrestle with the fact that it will probably change gradually to try to reduce some of the violence,” Obama said. “In some cases, that may make it a little bit less exciting, but it will be a whole lot better for the players, and those of us who are fans maybe won’t have to examine our consciences quite as much.”

In an interview in the magazine’s Feb. 11 issue, Obama said he worries more about college players than he does about those in the NFL.

“The NFL players have a union, they’re grown men, they can make some of these decisions on their own, and most of them are well-compensated for the violence they do to their bodies,” Obama said. “You read some of these stories about college players who undergo some of these same problems with concussions and so forth and then have nothing to fall back on. That’s something that I’d like to see the NCAA think about.”

Obama’s agenda for second term: Bash Fox News, Football, re-write the Constitution – ala “Constitution 2020,” gay marriage great, women in combat and probably draft eventually, bankruptcy for America with crushing debt, no negotiating with anyone, bullying of religious values, undermine Christianity, waltz with 99% of the media worshiping him. Prayer is the ONLY thing that will stop this man and his “Powers that Be” destructive vision for our country.

This would make a good story for children (and us.) We could call it ‘A Man And His Fly.’
Everyone needs a pet, and I would think dogs would not be too apt to want to volunteer.

This may not be just any old fly, as we think of flys. This fly may have formed an attachment and follows Obama everywhere he goes. It is just not natural the way flys take to him, or so it seems at this time. Then again, you know flys they follow the smell over a mile away. They come ‘a running’ when something is within range they take as being food. They just want to eat and lay eggs, etc. Well, I guess I can quit now, the novelty of fly whispering is wearing off. It could be that many countries have play presidents who have pet flys. I just have no idea.

No, perhaps he would not let him play football, but then I doubt he would want his “son” smoking dope or taking cocaine or visiting the Down Low. I especially doubt he would want his son to be a liar, a thief and a lot of things he could be.

Now, it is about the FLY. Even the flys know this man is rotten.

It’s not too late for Barack and Michelle to try for a son. If it’s a girl they can always abort it. And maybe that’s when the pro-life movement will end. When a presidential couple has or has had an abortion.

This reminds me of an old saying when I was growing up. Remember when parents used to always say that you could be anything when you grow up, even the president. Well I have two children now and I am going to change that saying to: You can be whatever you want when you grow up, even a criminal, I mean, president, but you can’t own a gun. I would never encourage my kids to become a lying, cheating, thief by becoming a member of the government. I would almost rather them become a common criminal.
