Obama: ‘We Do Skeet Shooting All the Time’

President Barack Obama has fired a gun.
“Yes, in fact, up at Camp David, we do skeet shooting all the time,” Obama said in an interview with the New Republic when asked whether he’d ever shot before.
“Not the girls, but oftentimes guests of mine go up there,” Obama continued in the interview, published Sunday. “And I have a profound respect for the traditions of hunting that trace back in this country for generations. And I think those who dismiss that out of hand make a big mistake.”
“Part of being able to move this forward is understanding the reality of guns in urban areas are very different from the realities of guns in rural areas. And if you grew up and your dad gave you a hunting rifle when you were ten, and you went out and spent the day with him and your uncles, and that became part of your family’s traditions, you can see why you’d be pretty protective of that,” he added.

Thankfully however the second ammendment has nothing to do with killing game. It’s about killing people. People that try to rob and kill you, people that invade our country, and governments that become oppressive little busybodies and want to rule us instead of serve us.
The second ammendment is about weapons in the hands of patriots that can effect permanent change. So the second ammendment by definition means making us equal with the above, which means real weapons.
Sorry Mr. President, but trying to make youself a friend of gun owners has failed.

Posted on January 27, 2013 at 5:04pmOf course Obama know the real meaning of the 2nd amendment, but if he sticks with this talking point, the sheep that follow him will start to believe it and allow him to pass legislation that removes the “ultimate reset button.” At that point, the government will be in whatever position they want to be in.
Lets face it, no one would ever want to use the second amendment for what it was intended for, but much like the cold war, the threat of it being there keeps our leaders in check. As the congress and justice systems have been compromised or bypassed, and the news media is no longer there to keep them honest, it is the last “check” left.

That it’s possible that just maybe Obama is now firing generals who refuse to kill civilians.

The “right to keep and bear arms” in the Constitution is not written to protect hunters or homeowners from criminals……….It is meant to protect citizens from you and people just like you who would frequently like to “bypass Congress” and impose their will on the people. Kind of how you like to use executive orders to try and disarm the public. Just think……..if you can get away with an executive order essentially disarming the public, how many more could you invoke without the threat of a rebellion against you. Obama isn’t a stupid man – he clearly understands the original intent of the 2nd Amendment as established by the founding fathers. I clearly am not dilusional or don’t clearly think there’s a conspiracy theory or sinister motive right now for banning guns. It’s always that slow creep of government that worries me. After all, the original income tax bill was one page long and only affected the top 1% of tax payers. Now that law is a 65,000 page monstrosity that no one, politician or private citizen, can understand. That’s the way gun bans will go, they get a toe hold inside the door, then slowly creep towards the total ban of all private citizens owning guns. That’s the way EVERY single law starts out, very very small, then within a couple decades, it’s some HUGE government control that has lost its original intent. Look at every agency of the government, DOE, EPA, FDA, etc, all started out to support some small incident, now the EPA even controls the amount of water your toilet flushes and want to control cow farts. I am all for some common sense, but the government is never been known for common sense. They have ample laws on the books to control gun violence, they just need to enforce them. The 2nd Amendment never was about hunting, NEVER.

That means Mr President we go back to the days when anyone could go up to the front door on the White House……..and knock.
You don’t get kill zones surrounded by 10 foot high security fences, evac helicopters, personal APCs (aka limos), armored walls and bullet proof windows, hundreds if not thousands of guards (maybe limit the number of guards you’re allowed to the number of rounds we are allowed in our magazines?), and anti-aircraft guns nor FAA no fly zones.
If you want to have an easier time getting to us Mr. President, then fair is fair, we should have an easier time getting to you. What? That doesn’t sound like a good idea to you? Well guess what, we feel exactly the same way Mr President.

Still have a few on hand left over from the SEC and BSC Championship games this season. I know that you must not be that familiar with our football, this is college football. And, my team, Alabama won both of those games. The Crimson Tide has won three of the last four National Championships, and the single championship that we missed was won by another college from this state. I just won’t mention that team. LOL, thanks for giving me a reason to gloat, and yes, I am trying to be humorous.
BIOHAZARD, not to worry, no alcohol abuse. I didn’t lose that much. LOL, oh yes it is the gospel truth. And reading things like that and others has helped make for a great weekend. How has yours been? Decent sunshine down there in Tampa? I remember one winter when I lived there, I never bothered to put the top up on a little Sunbeam Alpine that I had.

Posted on January 27, 2013 at 5:12pmNZKIWI, LOL, that is funny. Bet that bothered more than a few. I worked on a church camp construction the summers of ’68 and ’71 on Wild Horse Mountain. Really did enjoy it there. The last time I was in Oklahoma was to transport a prisoner to the Ft Sill Confinement facility. Actually, more pleasant than it sounded and had a great steak dinner off post considering we had just flown in through Philadelphia the night before.
As for football here I prefer college, but do watch a few NFL games. Have been to plenty in the past though. It is an acquired taste though and I can understand that considering how lost I was when I lived in Upstate, NY in the mid ’80s and everybody I knew watched and talked hockey all of the time.

When something strikes me as funny, I let loose with a harsh belly laugh at times. My wife can’t stand to be with me at a funny movie.
