Great Grandmother Fires at Robber 11 Times After Mid Morning Bus Robbery in Detroit

Many Americans tend to view cities like Chicago and Detroit the way they would Mexico — they may have their perks, but you certainly wouldn’t want to be alone there at night. The latest story out of the Michigan city certainly won’t help ameliorate the reputation of lawlessness, but at least the victim was uninjured and defiant in the end.

ClickOnDetroit relates:

56-year-old grandmother and great grandmother from Clinton Township [Ramona Taylor Kamate] has a permit to carry a gun, and when she was attacked on a city bus, she used it.

It’s a bus route Kamate is quite familiar with, she’s also grown accustomed to seeing some of the same people who take the bus with her.

But, when Kamate boarded a city bus at Northland Mall in Southfield, she says a young friendly face turned on her.

“He was saying ‘you smell good, looks like you have money’ and I said no I don’t,” Kamate said.

It went downhill from there. “He grabbed my book bag and I grabbed it back and we started tussling, I bit him on his left hand. When he struck me in my head we started fighting,” she said.

Kamate says no one tried to intervene. “It’s sad you have all those men on the bus, and no one helped me,” she said. [Emphasis added]

In an interview with WJBK, the grandmother said one man told her, “You by yourself, b—-.”

The attacker then ran off with Kamate’s possessions, and people started yelling that he had a gun.

“Somebody said he had a gun, and when he turned and faced me…I just pulled my 9 out and started shooting him,” Kamate recalled. She fired 11 shots, but is unsure whether any of them made contact. No one else was injured.

“At first, I felt remorse because I have grandchildren,” she said after the mugging. “[But] if my grandchildren are out here doing what these punks are doing, they need to get the same thing.”

Kamate says she acted in self defense, and will continue working with police to apprehend the suspect.

I’m all for conceal carry and defending yourself, but you should hit your target, not spray 11 bullets all over the neighborhood. She’s lucky she didn’t hit an innocent bystander.

No HELP is like this Everywhere in Detroit. We have the Six Mile Boy’s, the Seven Mile Hoods. It’s Very Dangerous in Detroit. No one will Help You. You WILL be the Target! So much about what happens here in Detroit is Hidden. It’s so much Worst then reported.

Now that is what we need. Instead of an “Obama Phone” we need him giving out “Obama Guns”. I’m gonna get me an Obama Gun! So if you cannot even count on your fellow man to help you, forget about the police, they only show up after something happens.

When you have a society that tells little boys to act “civil” like little girls, and to discuss their feelings with each other instead of fighting, and not to play cowboys and indians or cops and robbers; then you are suddenly shocked when the boy grows up and has no inclination to intervene on a womans behalf when she’s in trouble. Aren’t men and women the same? Can’t women do everything a man can do? Women don’t need a man for anything…thats what we’ve heard for a decade or more now, and we are seeing the unintended consequences of socialist and feminists screwing around with how little boys grow up. They just know better. God made us to do things and act certain ways for a purpose, who are they to intervene.

  You can already see it in countries like Japan. Young men are not interested in reproducing anymore. They hang out with each other. Same goes for the black community which has produced the phobia that most young black men are on the down-low. There was a great show on the DOC channel about 6 weeks ago. A fantastic look at the break-down of the black family unit. They hammered the democratic policies pretty hard.

Poor lady needs more range time so she can hit her targets and she should be glad she was not in New York cuz after number 7 it would have been, click, click, click, click.

Now why do you all say she is a hand out bum? She could be an upstanding citizen,we don’t know. Odds are against it being in a Democratic Controlled Zone. If she is on handouts how did she get enough cash for the license and the gun? I grew up on Welfare and we pretty much looked like we were sharecropper kids, all emaciated and wearing raggy clothes, we never had enough to eat and froze in the Chicago winters.

Moral of story, poverty sucked when I was a could and not a way of life with a retirement plan, so I bugged out, joined military, cleaned my self up and “WILL NEVER” bend my knee to the Fderal handout system again. Stand free, work hard, play hard, live a good life. Why would one want to live bent over offering your rectum to the government financial rape, not even hold a job ever, play in burned out buildings litteredwith used hypos, exist in a life of slavery? Beats me, I think they are lazy and do not want to work hard, freekin government so busy fleecing my pockets so the ticks can keep sucking me dry. Turn the spigots off and they will get up from their lousy existance and try to become people again.

This is why she has a right to carry ((You Go Grandma)) Where is the Rev Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson and Farrahkan and the Polititians who want to take her rights away. We need commercials of all these people telling why they need to protect themselves. this woman could had been raped or robbed.How many kids that do use the gun laws and guns right have protected there families. Oh yes they are going around telling people why they should not carry..Criminals will not be on a national data base for there fire arms. You would be smart not to be. they can say it will be local but then they can give your information up.to the united nations medical and guns . Just like national health care who will pick and choice who owns guns and even ask your kids. By the way they said republicans need to change there views on Abortion and gay marriage and guns etc. But did any1 ever find out why all those republicans that reported not to vote. Why did ‘nt they. Should’nt you find out why that is. instead of cramming things we don’t agree with down our throats we should not change. Jesus the same yesterday, today and tommorrow. Sin is sin and he will not change, sin don’t change because men say it is O.K. Turn from your wicked ways and repent.

they all got pregnant by 18 or younger….. wonder if anyone of them have fathers in the home …..
