Horrific Reports of People Cooking & Eating Their Children — and Digging Up Corpses — Come Amid NKorean Famine

North Korean Famine Allegedly Leads People to Kill & Cook Their Children | Cannibalism

In this undated photo released by the Korean Central News Agency and distributed Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013 in Tokyo by the Korea News Service, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un attends a consultative meeting with officials in the fields of state security and foreign affairs at undisclosed location in North Korea. While it’s certainly not the first allegation of cannibalism to come from North Korea, it’s equally as disturbing as those that preceded it. Troubling reports of a rise in starvation — and cannibalism — have emerged inside of a nation that continues to be intensely-secretive and shut off from the wider global community. According to an independent outlet called Asia Press, North Koreans are so desperate that they are increasingly turning to corpses and even murdering their own children for food.

One man allegedly dug up his grandchild’s corpse and ate it. Another purportedly killed and boiled his child for food. Of late, yet another individual has reportedly been executed for killing two of his children for the same purposes.

“In my village in May a man who killed his own two children and tried to eat them was executed by a firing squad,” one informant said of the latter incident.

According to the source, the father killed his daughter while his wife was away on business. Then, he killed the son because the latter child had witnessed his sister’s murder. When the wife came back from her trip, her husband said that they now had “meat.” After becoming suspicious, she contacted authorities who later discovered parts of the children’s bodies.

The “hidden famine,” as it has been called in North and South Hwanghae, is what appears to be driving this alleged horror. According to the Daily Mail, up to 10,000 individuals have lost their lives due to a lack of food — a figure that encapsulates the extreme desperation that may be driving the unthinkable.

Of course, the secretive and insular nature of the North Korean government makes it difficult to ascertain definitively whether instances involving human beings consuming one another are actually on the rise as some sources have claimed. Asia Press, the independent outlet issuing these reports, describes itself as a media venue that is trying to be “free from any dependence on capital and authority.”

While outlandish and unbelievable, this isn’t the first time the international community has heard similar stories. In the past, numerous reports about cannibalism have come from North Korea. The Daily Mail highlights some of these past instances:

In May last year, the South Korean state-run Korean Institute for National Unification said that one man was executed after eating part of a colleague and then trying to sell the remains as mutton.

One man killed and ate a girl and a third report of cannibalism was recorded from 2011.

Another man was executed in May after murdering 11 people and selling the bodies as pork.

In Oct. 2011, TheBlaze reported about Kim Hye Sook and the unbearable pain and emotional suffering that she endured during her 28-year detention in a secretive North Korean concentration camp. Brutal executions, starvation — even mothers killing and eating their children to ensure their own survival — were regular occurrences.

In an interview with CBN News, Sook recalled a mother boiling her 9-year-old daughter. In a separate fit of desperation, a woman killed her 16-year-old son, chopped him up and took him to a butcher to obtain some corn in exchange.

I recall seeing a show about starvation in the former U.S.S.R. that mentioned kids were most frightened by adult men who looked like they were eating well. If there was no food, how could they look so healthy?

The Bible speaks of a time in the not too distant future where cannibalism will be rampant… I imagine it wasn’t referring to only those of NKorea, but a world-wide thing, or maybe… it could be prevalent right here… in the good ole US of A. Don’t discount the power of man’s government over man being the works of the devil. Satan is out to destroy this nation. We can look at all the other nations around us and see how much destruction he’s already caused… it’s only a matter of time before it seeps into this nation. I am betting there are a lot more evil people here than there are good, God-fearing people. Many, in the end, will call upon God’s name and He will not hear them because they did not obey his laws and while Satan will wreak his havoc on man during the tribulation, God will punish those who survive the tribulation in the Day of the Lord. Look for those horrible things going on over there to end up right here on your front doorstep in the very near future, folks. We’re in for some scary times and very very soon.

So, where’s the outcry or don’t these people matter? It is just so pathetic that this kind of stuff probably goes on more than we think but it’s just ignored. What is so sad is that the prospect of this happening here cannot be ignored, lets face it, today, a person on welfare gets more for free than someone who has a median income and works for a living. At some point why work, why not live on everyone else, but ,see, then nothing gets produced and only those who have wealth survive. Socialism, Obamas view of America, those who have and those who don’t.

Unfortunately, this has been done before. I just finished reading “Mao’s Great Famine” by Frank Dikotter. It happened then too. As a parent, I’d rather have myself boiled and fed to my children rather than the other way around. But people become crazed by such suffering. Let’s take a lesson and look at what a self-absorbed dictator and his yes-men/women can do to a country.

A couple weeks ago, Glenn and the Boyz were making fun of Alex Jones for his Bohemian Grove “eating babies wrapped in foil” rant. (I admit, it IS pretty easy to make fun of Crazy Jones…) However, they seemed to forget their OWN reporting on a shipment of “pills-filled-with-powdered-baby-flesh-from-china” coming into South Korea….

    http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2012/05/07/shocking-customs-officials-intercept-17000-pills-filled-with-powdered-baby-flesh-from-china/

YES, some people DO eat babies for “longevity” and “sexual benefits”, so I wouldn’t put it past the worlds True Rulers.

Lesson here – just because Jones said it doesn’t mean it’s NOT true. (Just usually…)

I’m not sure I buy it. I think adults would rather starve to death then kill and eat their children. It does not jive with human nature. They told us Saddam Huseins troops were snatching babies from their incubators in Kuwait-and that wasn’t true. So it is hard to believe. It certainly sounds like propaganda. Escaping from a camp? And getting to south korea? Is that credible? But that regime sure sounds evil.and yes we said never again and we with other countries do if true have a moral obligation to liberate these people if this is true. Unlike those afghans who never asked to be liberated and who believe in backward mores. We and other nations should be helping the syrians too.

Call me skeptical…but this sounds more like propaganda. The story reads that a woman went away on business…..really? During a famine, do you go away on business? What business? The connotation is that in the midst of a famine so severe people are eating kids, this woman had pressing business somewhere else. Sorry, I am having a difficult time with that. Perhaps it’s a matter of no meat and they guy wanted meat and he was nuts. If you are having a severe famine, you simply don’t travel on business unless the business is bringing back meat or food.

I think our troops have been there long enough and since they don’t want us there we should leave immediately, all of them. When N.Korea invades then the ‘free’ people in the south will learn just exactly how their countrymen have been living under a lunatic communist heathen. Those same people rioting for us to leave, assuming any are still alive would be the first begging us to save them after they’ve been invaded. This is what happens to societies in the end when only the government has the guns. It may take awhile. It may take a hundred years. Look at Europe. It is already on the way there. However, when it happens, that nice clean society that loves everyone becomes a monster that eats all in its path. The path of socialism always leads to cannibalism.

We pulled 3,000 troops (~10%) out of South Korea as the strain of Iraq & Afghanistan got severe. There were many South Koreans that protested the move.

There are south Koreans that protest Americans soldiers. They are nationalists & leftists. Take away the leftist element (which is in every society) & there would not be so many protests.

That said, I think the ROK is strong enough to handle the North Koreans. In case of War all we have to do is keep the F_____ Chinese oligarchs off the backs of the South Koreans.

We could save some money & cut the budget. I am all in favor of that so long as we don’t say to South Korea that they are on their own in case of war with North Korea & China supports North Korea. If we abandoned South Korea in such an instance we would in effect be cutting our own throats.

If it’s true as the other article on korea mentioned-that the US and the UN told the international red cross to not intervene to stop the mass starvation going on there in the past-then we ourselves are complicit with mass starvation of men women and children. Is that what has happened in south somalia where only a year ago we were saying that starvation was occuring there and we only interveneed to help north somalia because the south was radical isslamic controlled? Now we say somalia is improving politicaly-why because we starved thousands of men women anbd children? Just like the koreans do?So we ourselves now have no problem with mass starvation and are using it as a weapon of war. We’re not better then them as Fox media often even boasts of our ability to starve people we call our enemies and or to deprive them of water -now in scarce supplies. Yes, if N korea took them over these kids would quickly learn what a bad government can do as they did in S Vietnam. That said the regular people of S Korea are freedom loving and hard working. Worked with some in Saudi Arabia. I’ve been around the world a few times and tried to interact with people. Never had a European say Thank You for what your country did to keep us free. None said thanks for us not speaking German. But twice I’ve had S Koreans thank me. My father had a number of friends who died in the Korean War (Task Force Smith) and I know its just words but I also know it meant something to him when I told him what these people said. Forever engaged in convoluted thinking. There is no need for any military top protect foreign relief efforts in Somalia except for Islamic or clan militias.

In the early 1990s the Habr Gidr clan tried to used food as a weapon (& stole it form relief agencies) to force other clans to assent to their rule. Therefore we went after the clan leadership including Aidid.

In the same way Islamic militias have killed nurses in Pakistan & other places. If relief agencies cannot operate without military protectionist is the fault if the Islamic militias & their sympathizers.

May Allah do to you in the afterlife what you actions have done to the starving by supporting the militias. You are forever on the side of the any militia fighting the U.S. Blood is on your hands.

Seriously the average American gets about 8.5 hours of steady propaganda everyday. We are subjected to more lies and propaganda than your average Cuban. Think about how much propaganda we have been fed lately. Anymore you don’t know what is true or not. Syria is using chemical weapons “on their own people” who just happen to be Al Qaeda rebels. Iran supposedly modified a giant sewing machine to cut off people’s fingers. Now we hear North Koreans are digging up rotted corpses and chewing on the diseased, rotted meat. Really? So they could go eat grass or leaves from trees, but they would rather dig up a graveyard or murder their own child. I mean for a place that is so secret, they sure have a lot of news coming out from there lately.

There is no limit to the amount of lies the “chosen people” Marxist Media will do to get their agenda across. Looks like they want to get the US involved in Syria, Iran, and North Korea so we will keep getting fed a steady diet of propaganda until we declare war on those 3 once and for all. Or we could say the government wants to invade them and are using the media to get their message across.
