‘Look at the A** on Her’: Mayor Bloomberg’s Surprise Alleged Response to Gun Control Thanks

New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg has been lauded by many in recent weeks for his support of strict gun control measures in New York. In a profile of his potential successor City Council Speaker Christine Quinn, New York Magazine’s Jonathan Van Meter related a number of startling comments by the prestigious billionaire.
“Look at the a** on her,” the mayor allegedly said of a woman in a tight dress, paying little attention to the thanks he had just received for his efforts to limit gun access.
Here’s the full context, via New York Magazine (profanity warning):
As it happens, I was at a Christmas party for the rich just a few weeks ago. It was at a townhouse in the East Sixties, just off Park Avenue, and several times over the course of the evening the subject of Quinn came up. Each person I spoke with expressed doubts about whether she’s tough enough and smart enough to run the city. Implied, or overtly stated, was that the Bloomberg years have been marvelous and she’s no Bloomberg. By which they meant, if I understood correctly, that’s she’s just another politician. Later in the evening, the host interrupted me to point out that the mayor himself had just arrived. Did I want to meet him? Sure. My friend and I followed the host over, shook Bloomberg’s hand, and my friend thanked him for his position on gun control. Without even acknowledging the comment, Bloomberg gestured toward a woman in a very tight floor-length gown standing nearby and said, “Look at the ass on her.” [Emphasis added]
Bloomberg has also doled out harsh words on Quinn’s appearance, apparently:
…Then [Quinn] said, “The mayor is going to yell at me when I get out of the car because I have flat boots on. The mayor has no use for flat shoes.” Really, I said. Why would he care? “I was at a parade with him once and he said, ‘What are those?’ and I said, ‘They’re comfortable,’ and he said, ‘I never want to hear those words out of your mouth again.’ ” Everyone in the vehicle, including the security detail in the front seat, cracked up. “He likes me in high heels. Let’s see how long it takes before he notices.” She scrolled through her BlackBerry. “Another big thing with the mayor, when I am rooting … like, the couple of days a week before I need to get my hair colored, he’ll say, ‘Do you pay a lot to make your hair be two colors? Because now it’s three with the gray.’ And I’m like, ‘Did you wake up being this big of an asshole? Or did it take, like, all day to ramp up to it to be able to insult me like that?’” [Emphasis added]
But Quinn somewhat excuses the behavior later in the New York Magazine article, explaining: “He’s actually much more silly than people think. Sometimes in meetings he’s just telling stories and goofing around. And he’s got a potty mouth.”
Bloomberg’s comments are just starting to gain traction in the media, but it will be interesting to see whether the same outlets that were horrified by Rush Limbaugh calling Sandra Fluke a “slut” over her requests for taxpayer subsidized birth control, or incredulous over Mitt Romney’s “binders full of women” remark, show the slightest indignation over Bloomberg’s apparent objectification of women.
“Billionaires will be billionaires,” Gawker concludes.

But, because he is a rich buttwipe and a liberal nazi to boot there will be nothing mentioned on the pravda networks.

Posted on January 28, 2013 at 1:29pmHold on a minute! Aren’t the Dems, especially the extreme left liberal ones, always boasting of how they just love women and they’re the only party that wants to protect their rights? I guess when they degrade women verbally it doesn’t count! Hypocrites and liars, when will you women see it?

Posted on January 28, 2013 at 1:19pmAs a New Yorker, and I am sick of Glenn constantly bashing on New Yorkers, the best time for this city was under Giuliani.
Laws were enforced and quality of life was able to manifest.
Under Bloomberg, it has been what it was under Dinkins, Koch, etc. He took what was given to him and made it worse. Doesn’t matter what it was. Bloomberg is one of the worst mayors NYC has had since Dinkins, period. I only wish Giuliani would run again, as the term limits we voted for were to apply to a dolt like Bloomberg who fought them.
And then we have Cuomo, someone who should be locked up, not sure whether a federal prison or a mental institution, but no question, whatever great Giuliani did, even working with the RINO Pataki, the state was in the right direction. Now it is all about big government. The softening came when conservative upstate was wooed by Hillary, she met with women upstate and they were wooed by this con artist. It has been down hill since. Adam and Eve all over again.

Posted on January 28, 2013 at 1:17pmSeveral comments on this article: First, the woman in the tight fitting dress would probably been flattered if she had heard what he said (it was a party for the liberal rich, she probably paid a lot for her assets). Second, the comment was inappropriate given the situation and the people around that heard the comment. Third, so you are going to rag on Quinn for having a little gray ****….do you own a mirror mr. mayor?????

Posted on January 28, 2013 at 1:09pmThe movie, Blazing Saddles staring Mel Brooks as Governor William J. Petomane reminds me of “Bloomy” and Harvey Korman’s part of Hedley LaMarr reminds me of Chuck Shumer. I guess art does imitate life, after all, huh?

Posted on January 28, 2013 at 12:36pmWhen asked if he would disarm his security detail in the spirit of gun control the Ruler of NYC had his security and police thugs follow and accost the reporter outside. Mayor Slimeball, predictably, dodged the question. See, the same rules do not apply to Fascist rulers and their sycophantic lackeys.

Posted on January 28, 2013 at 12:24pmNothing to see here . . . Bloomberg’s an asshat is not news. I do find an interview with Michael Ledeen @ the daily caller very newsworthy. As the article @ weasle zippers and Front Page Magazine regarding Hil’s comments about the House Republican’s Budget Cuts as one reason security was weak at our consulate in Benghazi – $16 Million for 2500 Kindles, that’s $6,600 a piece or the 1 Billion for global climate change, or $4.5 Million for Art in Embassies and there’s more waste. A $50 Billion budget wasn’t enough to provide adequate security . . . . . .
And what about Senator McCain’s claim that Amb. Stevens (a close friend of his) even discussed the weak and dangerous security at Benghazi? I would have thought that McCain, having some weight, could have brought this to the attention of Hillary.
Eric Nordstrom’s testimony to the House Committee investigating the ‘Benghazi Attack’ and his comment, “It’s the Taliban on the Inside” remains a haunting truth.
We allow ourselves to be ‘sidetracked’ by stories and events that have no importance regarding the subversive, corrupt, and treasonous acts by those within our own government. These stories and more like them need to be ‘hammered’ on daily and we must hold our elected officials accountable by relentless pursuit, so that they cannot hide behind their lies and incompetence.
