Another Massive Military ‘Training Drill’ Involving Helicopters Spotted in Houston, Texas — Watch the Raw Footage

Another Army Training Drill Conducted in Houston, Texas

Following reports of a military exercise occurring in Miami this week, KTRK-TV shot video of military-style helicopters roaming the skies in Houston, Texas. There have also been several reports of gunfire in the area.

The U.S. Army tells KTRK-TV that they are overseeing a “multi-agency training drill” at the old Carnegie High School on Houston’s south side. There were reportedly armed men in fatigues, a lot of firearms and what many believed were real live rounds.

The Army did not give any additional details regarding what the training is all about or why it is being conducted in Houston.

KTRK-TV provides some raw footage of the apparent training drill:

One local resident, Frances Jerrals, didn’t understand what was happening when she saw military helicopters flying over her southeast Houston neighborhood.

“When you see this, you think the worst. When you hear this, you think the worst,” Jerrals told KTRK-TV.

“I felt like I was in a war zone…It was nonstop. I was terrified,” she added.

Another resident said the Army should do a better job of alerting the locals before they conduct such an alarming training drill.

A statement from police in Miami-Dade County argued the training exercise in Miami was “routine” and “designed to ensure the military’s ability to operate in urban environments, prepare forces for upcoming overseas deployments and meet mandatory certification requirement.”

It appears most of this is activity is happing in the south. Maybe Obama is afraid the south will rise again and he well be placed in chains. Someone knows what this is all about but is not talking.

  Well the Helicopters they are using MH-6/AH-6 Little Bird, and the only people in the military that use them like this is special operations, Special Forces (Green Berets) or SFOD-D ( 1st Special Forces Operational Detachment) also knowen as Delta. And Helicopters are with the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne) also knowen as the Night Stalkers.

  I watched the raw footage of the video several times and a wild guess might be that they’ve got an informer in some militia groups that leaked something about taking military-like actions against a government facility with a large number of trained men (maybe 50+) and the government is planning to counter it “OR” They could be planning a raid on a large militia group in the South that controls several buildings near a large metropolitan area.
  
  They’re having joint agency mock battles to see how they can make it more palatable to the Ameican media once it all goes down and to make sure they can control the media that gets wind of anything. I noticed a camera crew in the orange vests doing some PR shots of the spec ops in the Kiowas and several men dressed up like militia (I swear I saw several “militia” men with a palestinian scarfs) inside the school grounds. I also saw something that looked like an ATF uniform and the whole thing sort of reminded me of Waco.

  I don’t want to be an Alex Jones, in fact I’ve stayed well away from his site on this, but here are a few of my thoughts…
  
  The explanation for these joint exercises is that they are training ops for future confrontations in an urban environment and are just “routine exercises”. That almost seems plausible, when one thinks of Teheran for example, but there are two problems:
  
  1)They are hardly “routine”.
  2)Since when were civilian police jointly involved in foreign military battles?
  
  These are not isolated incidents. Similar exercises have been conducted in many US cities in the past year or so. Why?
  
  Consider these other facts:
  
  Government agencies have been buying unprecedented amounts of ammunition and automatic assault weapons (real ones). The ammunition so far purchased is enough to shoot every single American five times.
  
  Then there is the rise of a secret, unaccountable U.S. military force, the Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) which is at the command of the President, and the Secretary of Defence, and has been deployed on American soil (a presidential inauguration, amongst other things).
  
  Then there is the NDAA signed into law by Mr Obama with “reservations”. This allows indefinite detention of anybody without anyh evidence or trial if they, among other things, give direct aid to enemies. Direct aid can mean voicing opposition to government policies – and the first Amendment will not protect you.

  JAKE, the reason (I believe) this is all in the south is because that’s where the infantry units are at. Ft Bragg, Ft. Benning, Ft, Campbell, Ft, Hood. They are all going to have air support. I live near Ft. Hood and there are helos flying over all the time.

  However it has the opposite effect and only confirms that he loathes us in the south because we won’t bend over for him or lay down like cowering dogs.

Now, at this present moment in time, would be great to sow some paranoia. Nothing going on nationally or on a global scale, lets fire up the masses with non stories and sick back and watch.   I think Armus got the FTX senario correct.
  
  The target is a militia in the US that has congregated for some type of armed action.
  
  What I am having trouble with is if this is the level of training military and LEO get to respond to a militia senario, the FTX is very poor. I understand that all we see is what the camera sees. But this is what is I saw:
  
  The OPFOR were skylaring around with their fingers up their anal orifice while Little Birds circled above. No OPFOR ever sought cover, grabbed their weapon and went tactical.
  
  I saw no assault on the school. I saw 2 grunts stroll up then take a knee. I saw 4 grunts mount two Little Birds and later I saw 2 grunts walk out of the school area. The OPFOR came out and stood around.
  
  I didn’t see any attach helicopters. The Little Bird of my generation was the Loach. They were bullet magnets. Loach draws fire. Gunships follow on. Assault Hueys land the troops. I didn’t see any of that
  
  This FTX may demonstrate what might happen. However, I think any militia group will have more combat veterans than untrained fools playing Army. If this FTX is supposed to reflect reality, it will be an unhappy ending for the grunts.
  
  It has been 43 years since I was in an FTX. A question for vets with more current service. Is this the level of training the military gets in a joint FTX?
  
  Based on the video alone, if I was an FTX Evaluator, I would have rated the FTX as Unsatisfactory in most categories.

  Sadly, I’d like to take their word on this and suggest that it is for urban overseas deployment, however, that’s a lie. They have created ‘middle eastern’ cities in the deserts for this kind of training.
  
  This is targeted against US citizenry, or something else that I can’t figure out. Combined with the current attacks on the 2nd Amendment, the rationale is pretty clear if you connect those very large dots, it’s really hard not too.
  
  I’m curious as to why the US military is playing along with this if this is indeed targeted against the citizens. A real action of this nature would make Kent State, Ruby Ridge and Waco look like pillow fights. I’m trying to imagine why they’d want to stick their hands into that PR meat grinder. I thought our military was smarter than this.
  
  Hopefully they’ll take a page from Egypt’s military and stay out of the way of what is essentially a civilian conflict.
  
  I thought we might be going overboard on 2nd Amendment ‘paranoia’, but with these exercises, I’m starting to think I am wrong and am underestimating the threat.

  This is typical training that has been taking place well before Obama. Civilian buildings that have been out of use or lightly used have been used in military training scenarios for a long time. There are a limited number of ranges on a military instillation. For the sake of training, the military will cooperate with local law enforcement to provide training variety for certain military units.
  “live rounds”(in the terms most people would think), I highly doubt it. Police use old facilities all the time to train in. More than likely, this is just the military taking advantage (in a good way) of a training opportunity.

  One can only pray that the Military that the American people have loved, and supported would know that the side that has diparaged them, and hated them, are the ones that think that they are just a bunch of stupid tools will follow lock-step, and fire on their supporters. I for one have a greater faith that the Military would not follow that order. The 2 Navy Seals in Benghazi illustrated the true heart of our American heros. Despite being told to stand down, they showed their courage, and their honor. They should forever be immortalized as a symbol of where America really stands. This is not Venezuela, or France, or Germany, or the Ukraine. We have God, and the finest Military heros in the world on our side. How could we possibly lose?

  If your scenario is correct, then we should see massive arrests of local commanders who are conspiring against the US Gov for going on two years now with these sorts of operations.
  
  These ops are approved, out in the open for all to see, including Dear Leader. I think even he would have questions if this was not something he organized and signed off on.
  
  In other words….I don’t think so! But I have hope as well, that just maybe this is going along to get along, then they switch sides when we need it the most. This is very disturbing.
  
  A local base that I frequent has been conducting a basewide readiness inspection like I’ve not seen before in 10 years and its not just one day its several.

  This is happening all the time. Back as far as the WACO “Rescue” of “The Children” that I can remember. “Black” Helicopters filled the air in my town back in the mid 90s. Neigbors were on their front lawns looking up, several hunkered down with weapons loaded. During exercises in some major U.S. cities, residents actually fired at them. We called local and State police to ask about the military exercise. We were told that they didn’t know anything about it and that “there were no reports”. Of course not. Naaaaa … they were’nt “black” helicopters at all … just painted a very deep flat olive drab.

Im as prepared as the majority of all of you in case what appears to be going down goes down. I understand the feeling and emotion involved with what could be going on. That said; Damascus and Teheran have similar landscapes and we have special ops that cannot discuss certain things. I know many. Every year as things they can discuss become declassified the stories they want to tell make more sense. The paranoia is founded because as a nation we were built to not trust an over reaching govt. and I am watching closely what is going on amd not trustimg what we are being told.   That assumption is bogus. Our military is training with our local law enforcement, or put differently, our local law enforcement is training with our military. Who’s training who?
  
  If our military goes into NK, Iran, or Syria, do you think their ‘local law enforcement’ going to team up with us? I seriously don’t think so.

  Yeah, this looks like a “buddy up” operation to me. They know that it will be the local cops that make the difference, and they want as many of them on their side as they can get. Sooooooo, they let them fly around with them in the neat little helicopters and play real warrior games. Then, a few well placed back slaps and eventually, they are “on board”. I watched this in its entirety and realized that they were playing paintball in that old abandoned building. The refs are the ones in the orange reflector vests… also you can clearly see their paintball masks at the end when they do a close up. I dont know what the army has to do with the rest of the civilians at the end. The awkward part of this training exercise is that it is a civilian force playing with or training (playing paintball) with the army , and the army shows up in helicopters?

  Why is Obama violating the 1878 Posse Comitatus Act? Military does NOT enforce civilian laws. I served eight years in the Army. I would never participate in any civilian operation. In fact, I would unload my rounds in the civilian LE operators who attack American civilians.

There has been a training exercise in Belton Missouri last summer, never seen that before last summer and we had Richards Gebaur airforce base in Belton. With military trucks going down 58 highway with guns on top and guys behind the guns with helmets on and microphones connected. Never seen that happen before, St Louis just had exercises this last summer, in the city. Last week we had military copters and jets flying circles around Kansas city. Seems odd this is happening now and we’ve never seen this type of training before this last year in our area anyway.

You have all the branches just north/upwards on a map, in VA and they go south/downwards on a map, to the large areas of coastal NC/to the right on a map. Cherry Point to the south/downward again on a map. Bragg ain’t far, hell the boys from HAAF and Benning come up all time. Lots of military, all four branches in that area, with a large contingency of Coast Guard in Eliz City. And of course that dirty, nasty private army in Moyock. Holy Cow Batman; it only follows that LOTS of military = lots of military activity. Maybe the drum are running off OBX and they were just spotting or shooting fishy schools. I grew up 30 miles from a large military base. In 18 years they never disturbed the populace with such a vulgar display. Their training was mainly conducted in the large forests around us.

  Dude, I drove by Norfolk recently, and the Navy had those boat things all over the place, in the water even. There were like those flat ones with stuff flying off of them, then those other ones with huge gun thingys pointed in every direction, and these weird looking submersable thingamajobs too. Spooky stuff going on. It looked like they were even building more newer boats, and fixing older ones! What could that mean? Crazy stuff. Just down the screet from that boat place in Norfolk, is Langley. I think the Blaze should do a field trip and ax some hard questions about what they are doing behind those big scary fences.

  I take a different opinion on the conditioning, think about the first time you were around gun fire the noise probably made you flench but as you spent more time around it you loose that fear. Simple enough, they look at Florida to control the entrance into the Gulf, and Texas has the majority of our refining capacity and chemical manufacturing. To secure the populace, take those 2 states and you control the flow of energy.

OR:
Florida has Disney World and Spring Break, Texas has fantastic BBQ and Glenn Beck, The military just wanted to be able to take some time off, train in a fun area, meet Mickey Mouse and Goofy, then got to Florida where they can meet Mickey Mouse and Goofy but not be bothered by Jeffy.

Two years ago, I was awakened by the sound of a helicopter hovering over my house. It was 2AM, and this thing stayed there for an hour. I called the police and asked them if they were aware of this. They called the local airport, and the response was “It’s a military exercise, and that’s the only information they can give”. For several nights afterwards, the helicopters returned.

Apparently we don’t have the right to know what our military is doing above our heads at 2AM.

  Moron if you think all of this crap is just coincidence then that is fine, but I don’t understand how you can look at everything that is going on in this country and not know that something is very different than what we all grew up in. I pray that all of this is just expanded exercises but I was in the military for 13 years and can tell you for certain that exercises in population areas was not something that we ever did. Yes we had base exercises a few times a year with different scenarios but what the hell does the military need to train in civilian areas for? You can’t answer that because you don’t have an answer but I do. The only 2 reasons that the military would have to train in civilian areas would be in case of an invasion from a foreign country, or the government declaring martial law. You can call everyone under the sun a conspiracy theorist but you can’t deny the signs. Our dollar will inevitably collapse, there is no way to save it, the last 4 years was the final nail in the coffin. What do you really think is going to happen when even the people who have a little bit of money saved up are left penniless because the dollar isn’t worth a thing?

But, I will add that when I was stationed at Ft Bragg, we trained a lot in parts of Florida, but my final trip from there to Florida was to Homestead, The Keys, and Miami for the Mariel Boat Lift. Been to various parts of Texas as well, but there are already an awful lot of troops in that state, active, guard and reserve. But still, we all do need to remain vigilant and keep and eye on what is actually happening.
  Go ahead and speak your peace. You’ll likely find that I will agree with you more than you think.

  I agree as well. Sadly, I think America is done. It is time we quit trusting in men and their institutiions and start trusting in God. For many American Christians their faith has been misplaced. There is a strain in the churches that equate America with Christianity. It’s time to learn that America and the Kingdom of God are not synonymous. I am afraid it will be a hard lesson to learn that will require the strength of the Holy Spirit to endure.

  As to your specific comment here, WITNESS, guilty as charged. No one was more surprised than I at how much value I placed on being an American over being a Christian first and foremost. Thankfully, lesson learned.
  
  No doubt, I care immensely for this country……her founding and her future…..but, phew, do I have a far better perspective over the last four years.

  CATB, Think about it, would you want to train in Detroit, Chicago, or NYC? The South is a much safer place since those cities are worse than Afghanistan. Also, a lot of TF160 is at Hurlburt right there in Florida. They are not all just sitting at Campbell.

  @RJ .. I agree those northern cities would be way to dangerous .. I grew up about half way between Detroit and Chicago .. couldn’t pay me to go into either. When I would go to Canada I would drive up to Sarnia to cross.

  CATB, I hear you. When I was in Upstate, NY I was relieved to know that was already a safe area where I could easily drive into Canada. Hated going to the City though along with a few other places in the state and did not care for a few places I had to go to in NJ too.

I watched one of these operations in Atlanta a few years ago. I saw nothing to get worked up about. They landed their copters and left. I saw nothing that made me think, Ah oh! Martial law training!” It looked like they were just practicing how to land on an overpass between two buildings. That was it.

  @Joey…that was it? Did you watch the whole thing? Streets blocked off, “civilian” and military ground training, men positioned on the roof of a buildng…? That was not just a landing effort. I can’t speak to what it was, but simple skills training can be done on a post or base or away from civilian neighborhoods.

  Traning is essential, it will never ready you for what you may face. But, a little notice should be a given. When you have democraps in high position , you have reason to worry.
