LOS ANGELES (TheBlaze/AP) — Prosecutors say a man who was detained by Taye Diggs after the actor found him at his home has been charged with felony burglary.
Hassan Omar Juma faces up to six years in prison if he is convicted and is scheduled to be arraigned in a Los Angeles courtroom Wednesday afternoon.
Diggs detained the 20-year-old after he and his wife found him in their garage on Sunday night. The “Private Practice” star was returning from the Screen Actors Guild Awards, where he was a presenter.
Juma was charged Wednesday with first-degree felony residential burglary. He’s jailed in lieu of $50,000 bail.
Police say Diggs caught Juma after chasing him and neither man was hurt in the incident. It is unclear whether there was a scuffle during the incident.

Posted on January 30, 2013 at 1:20pmWhy would he capture a burglar and call the police? He voted for Obama, right? So he should have given the burglar everything he wanted throughout his burglary….REDISTRIBUTION OF WEALTH ON A PERSONAL LEVEL…..even his house and his car if he wanted it! Come on, play ball, be a “real” Obama supporter and give your stuff away to somebody else who wants it! You can afford to buy some more stuff!

Welcome to our diverse culture and all the wonders it brings. Thanks for sharing your culture Hassan Omar Juma. I suspect armed security guards and gated communities will continue to become more prominent everywhere in the US. Almost like little tribes.

Posted on January 30, 2013 at 12:22amI’m glad that at least one actor has the ****** to defend his home and quite possibly his neighborhood. Hopefully, this perp won’t go anywhere near that part of town again.

Posted on January 29, 2013 at 8:59pmGood job young man. I believe if I had caught him he would be in the hospital instead of in jail. These types need a good azz-wippin to cause them pause next time they think about breaking in someone’s home.
