High School Teacher Suspended After Allegedly Posting Semi-Naked Pics, Joking About Drugs & ‘Jailbait’ Students on Twitter
A high school math teacher at Overland High School in Aurora, Colorado has been suspended pending an investigation into her less than respectable Twitter account.
According to Colorado’s NBC 9News, 23-year-old Carly McKinney not only posted semi-naked photos of herself, she also joked about drugs and students who are “jailbait” using her Twitter handle @Crunk_Bear.
This was her profile picture before the account was pulled:

9News, which broke the story, describes the disturbing tweets:
One post said “Naked. Wet. Stoned.” Another indicated the poster was high while grading papers. An additional post even talks about having marijuana on school property saying, “Watching a drug bust go down in the parking lot. It’s funny cuz I have weed in my car in the staff parking lot.”
The Twitter account also included posts about working as a teacher, apparently posted during the school day. “Instead of being productive, I’ve been on Twitter…” the poster professes. A post that seems to be about a student says, “Just got called Ms. McCutie. Points for being clever, however you are still jailbait.”

“Jailbait,” for those unfamiliar with the term, is what sexually attractive people under the age of 18 are sometimes called.
9News was able to briefly speak with McKinney, and she claimed that the account was just a joke she began with a friend. She also said the more inappropriate tweets were posted without her knowledge or consent.
However, soon after she got off the phone, this message went up on the Twitter account: “Local news station just called me…Tweeking out.”
The school district reiterates that they will investigate the matter, warning teachers that they shouldn’t post anything on social media they wouldn’t post on the chalkboard.

Posted on January 29, 2013 at 9:40pmI would give the teacher the benefit of the doubt, as Twitter is not known for being a secure means of communication, or should teachers be advised not to use social media, because in the event their accounts are hacked, they could still be fired?
Why is there a drug problem? Because there is a large percentage of people out there that stay under the radar by contributing to the community, paying their mortgages, and don’t present a hazard to the community? At some point you have to make up your minds, either legalize it or not?
Fictional account:
26 February, 2017, by the Order of Homeland security, Dr. Whatever, and dozens of other professionals, were detained by the NDAA act of 2011, to be held indefinitely, for supporting terrorism by indirectly financing a network that purchased advanced shoulder to air weapons stolen from Libya, with their purchases of illegal and prescription drugs.
After months of research by the super computers at the NSA, the server farms have concluded, thanks to the help of the Google Glass project, and competing search engines that have put real time data on the internet, that this professional and dozens others through the use of new “time machine software” that allows law enforcement to go back in time and compare evidence collected digitally, that we have prevented the occurance of a new powerful terrorism network.
The White House made a press announcement lauding the new technology.

Posted on January 29, 2013 at 8:44pmI’m no genius but am at least smart enough to know that anything I post on a social network could be seen by my job. Why would someone risk their reputation like that and how on earth can it not occur to her that someone would see it and make the school aware? That is a special kind of stupid. And yes, I am sickened by some of the people who get college degrees. I was proud when I got mine and now I am beginning to think a turtle could get one.

Posted on January 29, 2013 at 7:03pmAnother example of the decline of our society. I am over 50, and I noticed a marked up-tick in narcism, feeling of entitlement, and at the same time a decline in work-ethic among the 20-somethings 20 years ago when I managed a few young IT “professionals”. Obviously, it hasn’t gotten any better; in fact it is getting worse. This teacher would have been about 3 years old when I first noticed this trend, so at that point, she would have been going into schools with young teachers that had that attitude. Now this teacher is just passing on these traits. And, like the old game “Telephone”, as the message gets passed along, the message meaning just gets more diluted and distorted. It is no wonder that the downward slide continues.
What I find so fascinating about this though is that as technology and communication channels have evolved and become so accessible, that these idiots feel like they can broadcast such nonsense as she has and STILL feel like they are anonymous; and that people around them….family, friends, collegues…government agencies, will never make the connection to their identity.
My apologies to all those who are under 40 that visit this site and read my words, and take offense because you may be an “exception”; but I’ll admit, I view anyone under 40 suspiciously.

Posted on January 29, 2013 at 7:05pmI think public education went to hell in the 60s when Affirmative Action diluted the curriculum and everyone had to ” succeed” which boiled down to no discipline, no standards, and no grading curve.

Posted on January 29, 2013 at 8:57pmThis slack-*ss atitude can be traced back to debasing of the dollar. Nixon closed the gold window to pay for LBJ’s Great Society handouts. She probably got some sort of student aid from this debasement. She may have grew up on welfare, too. When everything’s being handed to people, they get the ‘rich kid syndrome’. People who work their way thru college grow up faster.

Posted on January 29, 2013 at 9:45pmWell, why sweat it? If they fall on their a**** they can count on the oh-so-compassionate Conservatives’ “social safety net”, right?
There’s no better, faster way to destroy humans than to deny them that specific pain that would otherwise motivate them to improve their lot.
If they succeed, they can count on being among the “evil rich”, and taxed like they were guilty of a crime.
Why the heck wouldn’t they be as they are?
All this crap is about political/state power through selling a life more “fair” and “easy”. Then you all wonder why it’s going down the tubes.
The universe cares not about your good intentions. You are moving AWAY from what is natural, not toward it. Pols can’t make life safe or fair, but they can certainly enslave you and kill you deader than a door nail.
We didn’t evolve to become what we are today because this s*** was easy! Life is hard. It has to be. Accept it, press on, and you’ll enjoy the good times that much more.
P.S., A funny thing happens when you accept it. You immediately have more empathy for your fellow man, who is “suffering” just like you. This is something I haven’t seen enough of since the WWII generation. It’s a kind of humility, a healthy kind of “shame”, if you will. We’re all mortal, all fallible, all wondering what the heck we’re here for at some level. Discontentment is the driving force behind human evolution. Get used to it. Better yet, put a harness on it.

Posted on January 29, 2013 at 10:19pmI’ve noticed the trend myself…now turning 50. Of course I was in a test tube experiment within the confines of the US Navy.
I saw my gen come up and those who followed and it was not an uplifting experience and was one of the biggest reasons I sought the exit instead of playing nurse maid, camp counselor, baby sitter, excuse listening higher up. I had better things to do.
America has become a bunch of whiners and excuse making dumb-azzes. We want it all! We road the wave of success, power, prosperity on the shoulders of those who won WWII. Its now coming to a close.
We are finished as a successful, hardworking, honest nation of committed souls. We think only of ourselves and the next unholy pleasure. We can’t wait to brag about how immoral we are. Thats the amazing part. We’ve come a long way from the slogan “If it feels good do it”. Its all about the hearts desire esp for women.
Unlike you, I am not sorry to offend….its the truth. Take it!
This generation is the most narcissitic generation of all time. See the recent 47 year survey on the matter.

If anyone still wonders why the kids today are so dumb it’s because the teachers are dumber. Can anyone in a fast food place make correct change without the computer anymore ? Things like BASIC math skills are so poor in this country it’s no wonder we rank lower and lower all the time in so many things.

Posted on January 29, 2013 at 6:51pmPot is legal in Colorado now, so she shouldn’t get in trouble for saying that or mentioning the drug. She doesn’t hit on any kids, she calls one of them “jailbait” in a humorous, affirming way, letting everyone know she’s keeping her nose clean. And I guess it’s now illegal for teachers to get naked and wet? The stoned part is, again, a non-issue now, since it is legal for those of age, and she is most certainly of age.
My guess, she gets a smack on the wrist, is told not to do it again where people can see and to Tweet anonymously in the future (like anyone with a job should).
They aren’t going to fire her for having a sense of humor and doing a (now) legal substance on her free time.

Posted on January 29, 2013 at 7:07pmYou make a fairly good point about pot being legal in Colorado; but on a federal level, it is still illegal, not that I guess that really matters. You are probably right that she will just get a slap on the wrist. Afterall, she has the Teachers Union backing her pathetic **** up.
Gotta say, just looking at her picture in this story, I really don’t think I could stomach seeing her semi-nude. From what I can tell, her body probably looks like a used up meth addicts body. Not a pretty sight, indeed.

College degrees, in my opinion do not equate to being “intelligent”. Earning a college degree just takes a little effort to learn the material that is being presented. And given what I have observed, the stuff that is being taught is not all that difficult because it has been dumbed down over time. Heck, if you can figure out a professors “hot buttons” and gear your work to hit those buttons….you can easily get an A in any college class.
I did exactly that when I was in undergraduate school and was failing English. The professor was an old 1960′s hippy has-been who claimed to have “levitated”. She was failing me….but when I found out she hated experimentation on animals, I wrote a final paper on Vivisection, and my conclusion was in opposition (although, I support it for med research…but did not say that). She gave me an “A” for the class. Did my writing improve that dramatically? No, I just fed her what she wanted to hear.
I do not consider myself an Einstein, but I managed a BBA and an MBA. I also know many people who do not have anything more than a high school degree; but they demonstrate an enormous amount of intelligence…and common sense. Although, what we once consider as being “common sense” should probably be now called “uncommon sense”. It has become that bad.
